| 1 [3:110] | Kuntum khayra ommatin okhrijat lilnnasita/muroona bialmaAAroofi watanhawna AAani almunkariwatu/minoona biAllahi walaw amana ahlu alkitabilakana khayran lahum minhumu almu/minoona waaktharuhumualfasiqoona |  كنتم خير أمة أخرجت للناس تأمرون بالمعروف وتنهون عن المنكر وتؤمنون بالله ولو آمن أهل الكتاب لكان خيرا لهم منهم المؤمنون وأكثرهم الفاسقونكُنتُمْ خَيْرَ أُمَّةٍ أُخْرِجَتْ لِلنَّاسِ تَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَتَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنكَرِ وَتُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللّهِ وَلَوْ آمَنَ أَهْلُ الْكِتَابِ لَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَّهُم مِّنْهُمُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَأَكْثَرُهُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ | |||||
| Words | |كنتم - You are| خير - (the) best| أمة - (of) people| أخرجت - raised| للناس - for the mankind -| تأمرون - enjoining| بالمعروف - the right| وتنهون - and forbidding| عن - [from]| المنكر - the wrong| وتؤمنون - and believing| بالله - in Allah.| ولو - And if| آمن - believed| أهل - (the) People| الكتاب - (of) the Book| لكان - surely would have been| خيرا - good| لهم - for them.| منهم - Among them| المؤمنون - (are) [the] believers,| وأكثرهم - but most of them| الفاسقون - (are) defiantly disobedient.| | ||||||
| 2 [5:103] | Ma jaAAala Allahu min baheeratinwala sa-ibatin wala waseelatin walahamin walakinna allatheena kafarooyaftaroona AAala Allahi alkathibawaaktharuhum la yaAAqiloona | ما جعل الله من بحيرة ولا سائبة ولا وصيلة ولا حام ولكن الذين كفروا يفترون على الله الكذب وأكثرهم لا يعقلون مَا جَعَلَ اللّهُ مِن بَحِيرَةٍ وَلاَ سَآئِبَةٍ وَلاَ وَصِيلَةٍ وَلاَ حَامٍ وَلَـكِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ يَفْتَرُونَ عَلَى اللّهِ الْكَذِبَ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ لاَ يَعْقِلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ما - Not| جعل - has (been) made| الله - (by) Allah| من - of| بحيرة - a Bahirah| ولا - and not| سائبة - a Saibah| ولا - and not| وصيلة - a Wasilah| ولا - and not| حام - a Hami.| ولكن - [And] but| الذين - those who| كفروا - disbelieved| يفترون - they invent| على - against| الله - Allah| الكذب - the lie,| وأكثرهم - and most of them| لا - (do) not| يعقلون - use reason.| | ||||||
| 3 [9:8] | Kayfa wa-in yathharoo AAalaykumla yarquboo feekum illan wala thimmatan yurdoonakumbi-afwahihim wata/ba quloobuhum waaktharuhum fasiqoona | كيف وإن يظهروا عليكم لا يرقبوا فيكم إلا ولا ذمة يرضونكم بأفواههم وتأبى قلوبهم وأكثرهم فاسقون كَيْفَ وَإِن يَظْهَرُوا عَلَيْكُمْ لاَ يَرْقُبُواْ فِيكُمْ إِلاًّ وَلاَ ذِمَّةً يُرْضُونَكُم بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَتَأْبَى قُلُوبُهُمْ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ فَاسِقُونَ | |||||
| Words | |كيف - How| وإن - while, if| يظهروا - they gain dominance| عليكم - over you| لا - they do not regard (the ties)| يرقبوا - they do not regard (the ties)| فيكم - with you| إلا - (of) kinship| ولا - and not| ذمة - covenant of protection?| يرضونكم - They satisfy you| بأفواههم - with their mouths| وتأبى - but refuse,| قلوبهم - their hearts| وأكثرهم - and most of them| فاسقون - (are) defiantly disobedient.| | ||||||
| 4 [16:83] | YaAArifoona niAAmata Allahi thummayunkiroonaha waaktharuhumu alkafiroona | يعرفون نعمت الله ثم ينكرونها وأكثرهم الكافرون يَعْرِفُونَ نِعْمَتَ اللّهِ ثُمَّ يُنكِرُونَهَا وَأَكْثَرُهُمُ الْكَافِرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |يعرفون - They recognize| نعمت - (the) Favor| الله - (of) Allah;| ثم - then| ينكرونها - they deny it.| وأكثرهم - And most of them| الكافرون - (are) the disbelievers.| | ||||||
| 5 [23:70] | Am yaqooloona bihi jinnatun bal jaahumbialhaqqi waaktharuhum lilhaqqi karihoona | أم يقولون به جنة بل جاءهم بالحق وأكثرهم للحق كارهون أَمْ يَقُولُونَ بِهِ جِنَّةٌ بَلْ جَاءَهُم بِالْحَقِّ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ لِلْحَقِّ كَارِهُونَ | |||||
| Words | |أم - Or| يقولون - they say,| به - "In him| جنة - (is) madness?"| بل - Nay,| جاءهم - he brought them| بالحق - the truth,| وأكثرهم - but most of them| للحق - to the truth,| كارهون - (are) averse.| | ||||||
| 6 [26:223] | Yulqoona alssamAAa waaktharuhum kathiboona | يلقون السمع وأكثرهم كاذبون يُلْقُونَ السَّمْعَ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ كَاذِبُونَ | |||||
| Words | |يلقون - They pass on| السمع - (what is) heard,| وأكثرهم - and most of them| كاذبون - (are) liars.| | ||||||
