| 1 [18:74] | Faintalaqa hattaitha laqiya ghulaman faqatalahu qalaaqatalta nafsan zakiyyatan bighayri nafsin laqad ji/ta shay-annukran |  فانطلقا حتى إذا لقيا غلاما فقتله قال أقتلت نفسا زكية بغير نفس لقد جئت شيئا نكرافَانطَلَقَا حَتَّى إِذَا لَقِيَا غُلاَمًا فَقَتَلَهُ قَالَ أَقَتَلْتَ نَفْسًا زَكِيَّةً بِغَيْرِ نَفْسٍ لَّقَدْ جِئْتَ شَيْئًا نُّكْرًا | |||||
| Words | |فانطلقا - Then they both set out| حتى - until| إذا - when| لقيا - they met| غلاما - a boy,| فقتله - then he killed him.| قال - He said,| أقتلت - "Have you killed| نفسا - a soul,| زكية - pure,| بغير - for other than| نفس - a soul?| لقد - Certainly,| جئت - you have done| شيئا - a thing| نكرا - evil."| | ||||||
| 2 [18:87] | Qala amma man thalamafasawfa nuAAaththibuhu thumma yuraddu ila rabbihifayuAAaththibuhu AAathaban nukran | قال أما من ظلم فسوف نعذبه ثم يرد إلى ربه فيعذبه عذابا نكرا قَالَ أَمَّا مَن ظَلَمَ فَسَوْفَ نُعَذِّبُهُ ثُمَّ يُرَدُّ إِلَى رَبِّهِ فَيُعَذِّبُهُ عَذَابًا نُّكْرًا | |||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| أما - "As for| من - (one) who| ظلم - wrongs,| فسوف - then soon| نعذبه - we will punish him.| ثم - Then| يرد - he will be returned| إلى - to| ربه - his Lord,| فيعذبه - and He will punish him| عذابا - (with) a punishment| نكرا - terrible.| | ||||||
| 3 [65:8] | Wakaayyin min qaryatin AAatat AAan amrirabbiha warusulihi fahasabnaha hisabanshadeedan waAAaththabnaha AAathabannukran | وكأين من قرية عتت عن أمر ربها ورسله فحاسبناها حسابا شديدا وعذبناها عذابا نكرا وَكَأَيِّن مِّن قَرْيَةٍ عَتَتْ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهَا وَرُسُلِهِ فَحَاسَبْنَاهَا حِسَابًا شَدِيدًا وَعَذَّبْنَاهَا عَذَابًا نُّكْرًا | |||||
| Words | |وكأين - And how many| من - of| قرية - a town| عتت - rebelled| عن - against| أمر - (the) Command| ربها - (of) its Lord| ورسله - and His Messengers,| فحاسبناها - so We took it to account,| حسابا - an account| شديدا - severe;| وعذبناها - and We punished it,| عذابا - a punishment| نكرا - terrible.| | ||||||
