| 1 [2:247] | Waqala lahum nabiyyuhum inna Allahaqad baAAatha lakum taloota malikan qaloo annayakoonu lahu almulku AAalayna wanahnu ahaqqubialmulki minhu walam yu/ta saAAatan mina almali qalainna Allaha istafahu AAalaykum wazadahubastatan fee alAAilmi waaljismi waAllahuyu/tee mulkahu man yashao waAllahu wasiAAunAAaleemun |  وقال لهم نبيهم إن الله قد بعث لكم طالوت ملكا قالوا أنى يكون له الملك علينا ونحن أحق بالملك منه ولم يؤت سعة من المال قال إن الله اصطفاه عليكم وزاده بسطة في العلم والجسم والله يؤتي ملكه من يشاء والله واسع عليموَقَالَ لَهُمْ نَبِيُّهُمْ إِنَّ اللّهَ قَدْ بَعَثَ لَكُمْ طَالُوتَ مَلِكًا قَالُواْ أَنَّى يَكُونُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ عَلَيْنَا وَنَحْنُ أَحَقُّ بِالْمُلْكِ مِنْهُ وَلَمْ يُؤْتَ سَعَةً مِّنَ الْمَالِ قَالَ إِنَّ اللّهَ اصْطَفَاهُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَزَادَهُ بَسْطَةً فِي الْعِلْمِ وَالْجِسْمِ وَاللّهُ يُؤْتِي مُلْكَهُ مَن يَشَاءُ وَاللّهُ وَاسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |وقال - And said| لهم - to them| نبيهم - their Prophet,| إن - "Indeed,| الله - Allah| قد - (has) surely| بعث - raised| لكم - for you| طالوت - Talut| ملكا - (as) a king."| قالوا - They said,| أنى - How| يكون - can be| له - for him| الملك - the kingship| علينا - over us,| ونحن - while we| أحق - (are) more entitled| بالملك - to kingship| منه - than him,| ولم - and not| يؤت - he has been given| سعة - abundance| من - of| المال - [the] wealth?"| قال - He said,| إن - "Indeed,| الله - Allah| اصطفاه - has chosen him| عليكم - over you| وزاده - and increased him| بسطة - abundantly| في - in| العلم - [the] knowledge| والجسم - and [the] physique.| والله - And Allah| يؤتي - gives| ملكه - His kingdom| من - (to) whom| يشاء - He wills.| والله - And Allah| واسع - (is) All-Encompassing,| عليم - All-Knowing."| | ||||||
| 2 [2:248] | Waqala lahum nabiyyuhum inna ayatamulkihi an ya/tiyakumu alttabootu feehi sakeenatunmin rabbikum wabaqiyyatun mimma taraka alu moosawaalu haroona tahmiluhu almala-ikatuinna fee thalika laayatan lakum in kuntum mu/mineena | وقال لهم نبيهم إن آية ملكه أن يأتيكم التابوت فيه سكينة من ربكم وبقية مما ترك آل موسى وآل هارون تحمله الملائكة إن في ذلك لآية لكم إن كنتم مؤمنين وَقَالَ لَهُمْ نَبِيُّهُمْ إِنَّ آيَةَ مُلْكِهِ أَن يَأْتِيَكُمُ التَّابُوتُ فِيهِ سَكِينَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَبَقِيَّةٌ مِّمَّا تَرَكَ آلُ مُوسَى وَآلُ هَارُونَ تَحْمِلُهُ الْمَلآئِكَةُ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَةً لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وقال - And said| لهم - to them| نبيهم - their Prophet,| إن - "Indeed,| آية - a sign| ملكه - (of) his kingship| أن - (is) that| يأتيكم - will come to you| التابوت - the ark,| فيه - in it| سكينة - (is) tranquility| من - from| ربكم - your Lord,| وبقية - and a remnant| مما - of what| ترك - (was) left| آل - (by the) family| موسى - (of) Musa| وآل - and family| هارون - (of) Harun| تحمله - will carry it| الملائكة - the Angels.| إن - Indeed,| في - in| ذلك - that| لآية - (is) surely a sign| لكم - for you| إن - if| كنتم - you are| مؤمنين - believers."| | ||||||
| 3 [38:20] | Washadadna mulkahu waataynahualhikmata wafasla alkhitabi | وشددنا ملكه وآتيناه الحكمة وفصل الخطاب وَشَدَدْنَا مُلْكَهُ وَآتَيْنَاهُ الْحِكْمَةَ وَفَصْلَ الْخِطَابِ | |||||
| Words | |وشددنا - And We strengthened| ملكه - his kingdom| وآتيناه - and We gave him| الحكمة - [the] wisdom| وفصل - and decisive| الخطاب - speech.| | ||||||
