| 1 [2:22] | Allathee jaAAala lakumu al-ardafirashan waalssamaa binaan waanzalamina alssama-i maan faakhraja bihi mina alththamaratirizqan lakum fala tajAAaloo lillahi andadanwaantum taAAlamoona |  الذي جعل لكم الأرض فراشا والسماء بناء وأنزل من السماء ماء فأخرج به من الثمرات رزقا لكم فلا تجعلوا لله أندادا وأنتم تعلمونالَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الأَرْضَ فِرَاشاً وَّالسَّمَاءَ بِنَاءً وَّأَنزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَأَخْرَجَ بِهِ مِنَ الثَّمَرَاتِ رِزْقاً لَّكُمْ فَلاَ تَجْعَلُواْ لِلّهِ أَندَاداً وَّأَنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ | |||||

| 2 [2:29] | Huwa allathee khalaqa lakum mafee al-ardi jameeAAan thumma istawa ila alssama-ifasawwahunna sabAAa samawatin wahuwa bikullishay-in AAaleemun | هو الذي خلق لكم ما في الأرض جميعا ثم استوى إلى السماء فسواهن سبع سماوات وهو بكل شيء عليم هُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ لَكُم مَّا فِي الأَرْضِ جَمِيعاً ثُمَّ اسْتَوَى إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فَسَوَّاهُنَّ سَبْعَ سَمَاوَاتٍ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |هو - He| الذي - (is) the One Who| خلق - created| لكم - for you| ما - what| في - (is) in| الأرض - the earth,| جميعا - all.| ثم - Moreover| استوى - He turned| إلى - to| السماء - the heaven| فسواهن - and fashioned them| سبع - seven| سماوات - heavens.| وهو - And He| بكل - of every| شيء - thing| عليم - (is) All-Knowing.| | ||||||
| 3 [2:33] | Qala ya adamu anbi/humbi-asma-ihim falamma anbaahum bi-asma-ihim qalaalam aqul lakum innee aAAlamu ghayba alssamawatiwaal-ardi waaAAlamu ma tubdoona wamakuntum taktumoona | قال يا آدم أنبئهم بأسمائهم فلما أنبأهم بأسمائهم قال ألم أقل لكم إني أعلم غيب السماوات والأرض وأعلم ما تبدون وما كنتم تكتمون قَالَ يَا آدَمُ أَنْبِئْهُمْ بِأَسْمَآئِهِمْ فَلَمَّا أَنبَأَهُمْ بِأَسْمَآئِهِمْ قَالَ أَلَمْ أَقُل لَّكُمْ إِنِّي أَعْلَمُ غَيْبَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَأَعْلَمُ مَا تُبْدُونَ وَمَا كُنتُمْ تَكْتُمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| يا - O| آدم - "O Adam!| أنبئهم - Inform them| بأسمائهم - of their names."| فلما - And when| أنبأهم - he had informed them| بأسمائهم - of their names,| قال - He said,| ألم - "Did not| أقل - I say| لكم - to you,| إني - Indeed, I| أعلم - [I] know| غيب - (the) unseen| السماوات - (of) the heavens| والأرض - and the earth,| وأعلم - and I know| ما - what| تبدون - you reveal| وما - and what| كنتم - you [were]| تكتمون - conceal."| | ||||||
| 4 [2:54] | Wa-ith qala moosaliqawmihi ya qawmi innakum thalamtumanfusakum biittikhathikumu alAAijla fatooboo ilabari-ikum faoqtuloo anfusakum thalikumkhayrun lakum AAinda bari-ikum fataba AAalaykuminnahu huwa alttawwabu alrraheemu | وإذ قال موسى لقومه يا قوم إنكم ظلمتم أنفسكم باتخاذكم العجل فتوبوا إلى بارئكم فاقتلوا أنفسكم ذلكم خير لكم عند بارئكم فتاب عليكم إنه هو التواب الرحيم وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَى لِقَوْمِهِ يَا قَوْمِ إِنَّكُمْ ظَلَمْتُمْ أَنفُسَكُمْ بِاتِّخَاذِكُمُ الْعِجْلَ فَتُوبُواْ إِلَى بَارِئِكُمْ فَاقْتُلُواْ أَنْـفُسَكُمْ ذَلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ عِندَ بَارِئِكُمْ فَتَابَ عَلَيْكُمْ إِنَّهُ هُوَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| قال - said| موسى - Musa| لقومه - to his people,| يا - O| قوم - "O my people!| إنكم - Indeed, you| ظلمتم - [you] have wronged| أنفسكم - yourselves| باتخاذكم - by your taking| العجل - the calf.| فتوبوا - So turn in repentance| إلى - to| بارئكم - your Creator,| فاقتلوا - and kill| أنفسكم - yourselves.| ذلكم - That| خير - (is) better| لكم - for you| عند - with| بارئكم - your Creator."| فتاب - Then He turned| عليكم - towards you.| إنه - Indeed He!| هو - He| التواب - (is) the-returning,| الرحيم - the Most Merciful.| | ||||||
| 5 [2:58] | Wa-ith qulna odkhuloo hathihialqaryata fakuloo minha haythu shi/tum raghadan waodkhulooalbaba sujjadan waqooloo hittatun naghfirlakum khatayakum wasanazeedu almuhsineena | وإذ قلنا ادخلوا هذه القرية فكلوا منها حيث شئتم رغدا وادخلوا الباب سجدا وقولوا حطة نغفر لكم خطاياكم وسنزيد المحسنين وَإِذْ قُلْنَا ادْخُلُواْ هَـذِهِ الْقَرْيَةَ فَكُلُواْ مِنْهَا حَيْثُ شِئْتُمْ رَغَداً وَّادْخُلُواْ الْبَابَ سُجَّداً وَّقُولُواْ حِطَّةٌ نَّغْفِرْ لَكُمْ خَطَايَاكُمْ وَسَنَزِيدُ الْمُحْسِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| قلنا - We said,| ادخلوا - "Enter| هذه - this| القرية - town,| فكلوا - then eat| منها - from| حيث - wherever| شئتم - you wish[ed]| رغدا - abundantly,| وادخلوا - and enter| الباب - the gate| سجدا - prostrating.| وقولوا - And say,| حطة - "Repentance."| نغفر - We will forgive| لكم - for you| خطاياكم - your sins.| وسنزيد - And We will increase| المحسنين - the good-doers (in reward)."| | ||||||
| 6 [2:61] | Wa-ith qultum ya moosalan nasbira AAala taAAamin wahidinfaodAAu lana rabbaka yukhrij lana mimmatunbitu al-ardu min baqliha waqiththa-ihawafoomiha waAAadasiha wabasaliha qalaatastabdiloona allathee huwa adna biallatheehuwa khayrun ihbitoo misran fa-inna lakum masaaltum waduribat AAalayhimu alththillatu waalmaskanatuwabaoo bighadabin mina Allahi thalikabi-annahum kanoo yakfuroona bi-ayati Allahiwayaqtuloona alnnabiyyeena bighayri alhaqqi thalikabima AAasaw wakanoo yaAAtadoona | وإذ قلتم يا موسى لن نصبر على طعام واحد فادع لنا ربك يخرج لنا مما تنبت الأرض من بقلها وقثائها وفومها وعدسها وبصلها قال أتستبدلون الذي هو أدنى بالذي هو خير اهبطوا مصرا فإن لكم ما سألتم وضربت عليهم الذلة والمسكنة وباءوا بغضب من الله ذلك بأنهم كانوا يكفرون بآيات الله ويقتلون النبيين بغير الحق ذلك بما عصوا وكانوا يعتدون وَإِذْ قُلْتُمْ يَا مُوسَى لَن نَّصْبِرَ عَلَى طَعَامٍ وَّاحِدٍ فَادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُخْرِجْ لَنَا مِمَّا تُنْبِتُ الأَرْضُ مِنْ بَقْلِهَا وَقِثَّآئِهَا وَفُومِهَا وَعَدَسِهَا وَبَصَلِهَا قَالَ أَتَسْتَبْدِلُونَ الَّذِي هُوَ أَدْنَى بِالَّذِي هُوَ خَيْرٌ اهْبِطُواْ مِصْراً فَإِنَّ لَكُم مَّا سَأَلْتُمْ وَضُرِبَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الذِّلَّةُ وَالْمَسْكَنَةُ وَبَآؤُوْاْ بِغَضَبٍ مِّنَ اللَّهِ ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَانُواْ يَكْفُرُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَيَقْتُلُونَ النَّبِيِّيْنَ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ ذَلِكَ بِمَا عَصَواْ وَّكَانُواْ يَعْتَدُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| قلتم - you said,| يا - O| موسى - "O Musa!| لن - Never (will)| نصبر - we endure| على - [on]| طعام - food| واحد - (of) one (kind),| فادع - so pray| لنا - for us| ربك - (to) your Lord| يخرج - to bring forth| لنا - for us| مما - out of what| تنبت - grows| الأرض - the earth,| من - of| بقلها - its herbs,| وقثائها - [and] its cucumbers,| وفومها - [and] its garlic,| وعدسها - [and] its lentils,| وبصلها - and its onions."| قال - He said,| أتستبدلون - "Would you exchange| الذي - that which| هو - [it]| أدنى - (is) inferior| بالذي - for that which| هو - [it]| خير - (is) better?| اهبطوا - Go down| مصرا - (to) a city,| فإن - so indeed| لكم - for you| ما - (is) what| سألتم - you have asked (for)."| وضربت - And were struck| عليهم - on them| الذلة - the humiliation| والمسكنة - and the misery| وباءوا - and they drew on themselves| بغضب - wrath| من - of| الله - Allah| ذلك - That (was)| بأنهم - because they| كانوا - used to| يكفرون - disbelieve| بآيات - in (the) Signs| الله - (of) Allah| ويقتلون - and kill| النبيين - the Prophets| بغير - without (any)| الحق - [the] right.| ذلك - That| بما - (was) because| عصوا - they disobeyed| وكانوا - and they were| يعتدون - transgressing.| | ||||||
| 7 [2:75] | AfatatmaAAoona an yu/minoo lakumwaqad kana fareequn minhum yasmaAAoona kalama Allahithumma yuharrifoonahu min baAAdi ma AAaqaloohuwahum yaAAlamoona | أفتطمعون أن يؤمنوا لكم وقد كان فريق منهم يسمعون كلام الله ثم يحرفونه من بعد ما عقلوه وهم يعلمون أَفَتَطْمَعُونَ أَنْ يُّؤْمِنُواْ لَكُمْ وَقَدْ كَانَ فَرِيقٌ مِّنْهُمْ يَسْمَعُونَ كَلاَمَ اللّهِ ثُمَّ يُحَرِّفُونَهُ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا عَقَلُوهُ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |أفتطمعون - Do you hope| أن - that| يؤمنوا - they will believe| لكم - [for] you| وقد - while indeed| كان - (there) has been| فريق - a party| منهم - of them,| يسمعون - (who used to) hear| كلام - (the) words| الله - (of) Allah,| ثم - then| يحرفونه - they distort it| من - from| بعد - after| ما - [what]| عقلوه - they understood it,| وهم - while they| يعلمون - know?| | ||||||
| 8 [2:94] | Qul in kanat lakumu alddarual-akhiratu AAinda Allahi khalisatanmin dooni alnnasi fatamannawoo almawta in kuntum sadiqeena | قل إن كانت لكم الدار الآخرة عند الله خالصة من دون الناس فتمنوا الموت إن كنتم صادقين قُلْ إِنْ كَانَتْ لَكُمُ الدَّارُ الْآخِرَةُ عِنْدَ اللّهِ خَالِصَةً مِّنْ دُونِ النَّاسِ فَتَمَنَّوُاْ الْمَوْتَ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ | |||||
| Words | |قل - Say,| إن - "If -| كانت - is| لكم - for you| الدار - the home| الآخرة - (of) the Hereafter| عند - with| الله - Allah| خالصة - exclusively,| من - from| دون - excluding| الناس - the mankind,| فتمنوا - then wish| الموت - (for) [the] death,| إن - if| كنتم - you are| صادقين - truthful."| | ||||||
| 9 [2:107] | Alam taAAlam anna Allaha lahu mulkualssamawati waal-ardi wamalakum min dooni Allahi min waliyyin wala naseerin | ألم تعلم أن الله له ملك السماوات والأرض وما لكم من دون الله من ولي ولا نصير أَلَمْ تَعْلَمْ أَنَّ اللّهَ لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَمَا لَكُم مِّن دُونِ اللّهِ مِن وَلِيٍّ وَلاَ نَصِيرٍ | |||||

| 10 [2:132] | Wawassa biha ibraheemubaneehi wayaAAqoobu ya baniyya inna Allaha istafalakumu alddeena fala tamootunna illa waantummuslimoona | ووصى بها إبراهيم بنيه ويعقوب يا بني إن الله اصطفى لكم الدين فلا تموتن إلا وأنتم مسلمون وَوَصَّى بِهَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بَنِيهِ وَيَعْقُوبُ يَا بَنِيَّ إِنَّ اللّهَ اصْطَفَى لَكُمُ الدِّينَ فَلاَ تَمُوتُنَّ إَلاَّ وَأَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ووصى - And enjoined| بها - [it]| إبراهيم - Ibrahim| بنيه - (upon) his sons| ويعقوب - and Yaqub,| يا - O| بني - "O my sons!| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| اصطفى - has chosen| لكم - for you| الدين - the religion,| فلا - so not| تموتن - (should) you die| إلا - except| وأنتم - while you| مسلمون - (are) submissive."| | ||||||
| 11 [2:168] | Ya ayyuha alnnasukuloo mimma fee al-ardi halalan tayyibanwala tattabiAAoo khutuwati alshshaytaniinnahu lakum AAaduwwun mubeenun | يا أيها الناس كلوا مما في الأرض حلالا طيبا ولا تتبعوا خطوات الشيطان إنه لكم عدو مبين يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ كُلُواْ مِمَّا فِي الأَرْضِ حَلاَلاً طَيِّباً وَلاَ تَتَّبِعُواْ خُطُوَاتِ الشَّيْطَانِ إِنَّهُ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِينٌ | |||||

| 12 [2:184] | Ayyaman maAAdoodatin faman kanaminkum mareedan aw AAala safarin faAAiddatun minayyamin okhara waAAala allatheena yuteeqoonahufidyatun taAAamu miskeenin faman tatawwaAAakhayran fahuwa khayrun lahu waan tasoomoo khayrun lakum inkuntum taAAlamoona | أياما معدودات فمن كان منكم مريضا أو على سفر فعدة من أيام أخر وعلى الذين يطيقونه فدية طعام مسكين فمن تطوع خيرا فهو خير له وأن تصوموا خير لكم إن كنتم تعلمون أَيَّامًا مَّعْدُودَاتٍ فَمَن كَانَ مِنكُم مَّرِيضًا أَوْ عَلَى سَفَرٍ فَعِدَّةٌ مِّنْ أَيَّامٍ أُخَرَ وَعَلَى الَّذِينَ يُطِيقُونَهُ فِدْيَةٌ طَعَامُ مِسْكِينٍ فَمَن تَطَوَّعَ خَيْرًا فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّهُ وَأَن تَصُومُواْ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |أياما - (Fasting for) days| معدودات - numbered.| فمن - So whoever| كان - is| منكم - among you| مريضا - sick| أو - or| على - on| سفر - a journey,| فعدة - then a prescribed number| من - of| أيام - days| أخر - other.| وعلى - And on| الذين - those who| يطيقونه - can afford it,| فدية - a ransom| طعام - (of) feeding| مسكين - a poor.| فمن - And whoever| تطوع - volunteers| خيرا - good| فهو - then it| خير - (is) better| له - for him.| وأن - And to| تصوموا - fast| خير - (is) better| لكم - for you,| إن - if| كنتم - you| تعلمون - know.| | ||||||
| 13 [2:187] | Ohilla lakum laylata alssiyamialrrafathu ila nisa-ikum hunna libasunlakum waantum libasun lahunna AAalima Allahuannakum kuntum takhtanoona anfusakum fatabaAAalaykum waAAafa AAankum faal-ana bashiroohunnawaibtaghoo ma kataba Allahu lakum wakuloo waishraboohatta yatabayyana lakumu alkhaytu al-abyadumina alkhayti al-aswadi mina alfajri thumma atimmoo alssiyamaila allayli wala tubashiroohunna waantum AAakifoonafee almasajidi tilka hudoodu Allahi falataqrabooha kathalika yubayyinu Allahu ayatihililnnasi laAAallahum yattaqoona | أحل لكم ليلة الصيام الرفث إلى نسائكم هن لباس لكم وأنتم لباس لهن علم الله أنكم كنتم تختانون أنفسكم فتاب عليكم وعفا عنكم فالآن باشروهن وابتغوا ما كتب الله لكم وكلوا واشربوا حتى يتبين لكم الخيط الأبيض من الخيط الأسود من الفجر ثم أتموا الصيام إلى الليل ولا تباشروهن وأنتم عاكفون في المساجد تلك حدود الله فلا تقربوها كذلك يبين الله آياته للناس لعلهم يتقون أُحِلَّ لَكُمْ لَيْلَةَ الصِّيَامِ الرَّفَثُ إِلَى نِسَآئِكُمْ هُنَّ لِبَاسٌ لَّكُمْ وَأَنتُمْ لِبَاسٌ لَّهُنَّ عَلِمَ اللّهُ أَنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ تَخْتَانُونَ أَنفُسَكُمْ فَتَابَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَعَفَا عَنكُمْ فَالْآنَ بَاشِرُوهُنَّ وَابْتَغُواْ مَا كَتَبَ اللّهُ لَكُمْ وَكُلُواْ وَاشْرَبُواْ حَتَّى يَتَبَيَّنَ لَكُمُ الْخَيْطُ الْأَبْيَضُ مِنَ الْخَيْطِ الْأَسْوَدِ مِنَ الْفَجْرِ ثُمَّ أَتِمُّواْ الصِّيَامَ إِلَى الَّيْلِ وَلاَ تُبَاشِرُوهُنَّ وَأَنتُمْ عَاكِفُونَ فِي الْمَسَاجِدِ تِلْكَ حُدُودُ اللّهِ فَلاَ تَقْرَبُوهَا كَذَلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللّهُ آيَاتِهِ لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ | |||||
| Words | |أحل - Permitted| لكم - for you| ليلة - (in the) nights| الصيام - (of) fasting| الرفث - (is) the approach| إلى - to| نسائكم - your wives.| هن - They| لباس - (are) garments| لكم - for you| وأنتم - and you| لباس - (are) garments| لهن - for them.| علم - Knows| الله - Allah| أنكم - that you| كنتم - used to| تختانون - deceive| أنفسكم - yourselves,| فتاب - so He turned| عليكم - towards you| وعفا - and He forgave| عنكم - [on] you.| فالآن - So now| باشروهن - have relations with them| وابتغوا - and seek| ما - what| كتب - has ordained| الله - Allah| لكم - for you.| وكلوا - And eat| واشربوا - and drink| حتى - until| يتبين - becomes distinct| لكم - to you| الخيط - the thread| الأبيض - [the] white| من - from| الخيط - the thread| الأسود - [the] black| من - of| الفجر - [the] dawn.| ثم - Then| أتموا - complete| الصيام - the fast| إلى - till| الليل - the night.| ولا - And (do) not| تباشروهن - have relations with them| وأنتم - while you| عاكفون - (are) secluded| في - in| المساجد - the masajid.| تلك - These| حدود - (are the) limits| الله - (set by) Allah,| فلا - so (do) not| تقربوها - approach them.| كذلك - Thus| يبين - makes clear| الله - Allah| آياته - His verses| للناس - for [the] people| لعلهم - so that they may| يتقون - (become) righteous.| | ||||||
| 14 [2:208] | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanooodkhuloo fee alssilmi kaffatan walatattabiAAoo khutuwati alshshaytaniinnahu lakum AAaduwwun mubeenun | يا أيها الذين آمنوا ادخلوا في السلم كافة ولا تتبعوا خطوات الشيطان إنه لكم عدو مبين يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ ادْخُلُواْ فِي السِّلْمِ كَآفَّةً وَلاَ تَتَّبِعُواْ خُطُوَاتِ الشَّيْطَانِ إِنَّهُ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِينٌ | |||||

| 15 [2:216] | Kutiba AAalaykumu alqitalu wahuwakurhun lakum waAAasa an takrahoo shay-an wahuwa khayrunlakum waAAasa an tuhibboo shay-an wahuwa sharrunlakum waAllahu yaAAlamu waantum lataAAlamoona | كتب عليكم القتال وهو كره لكم وعسى أن تكرهوا شيئا وهو خير لكم وعسى أن تحبوا شيئا وهو شر لكم والله يعلم وأنتم لا تعلمون كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْقِتَالُ وَهُوَ كُرْهٌ لَّكُمْ وَعَسَى أَن تَكْرَهُواْ شَيْئًا وَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ وَعَسَى أَن تُحِبُّواْ شَيْئًا وَهُوَ شَرٌّ لَّكُمْ وَاللّهُ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنتُمْ لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ | |||||

| 16 [2:219] | Yas-aloonaka AAani alkhamri waalmaysiriqul feehima ithmun kabeerun wamanafiAAu lilnnasiwa-ithmuhuma akbaru min nafAAihima wayas-aloonaka mathayunfiqoona quli alAAafwa kathalika yubayyinu Allahulakumu al-ayati laAAallakum tatafakkaroona | يسألونك عن الخمر والميسر قل فيهما إثم كبير ومنافع للناس وإثمهما أكبر من نفعهما ويسألونك ماذا ينفقون قل العفو كذلك يبين الله لكم الآيات لعلكم تتفكرون يَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الْخَمْرِ وَالْمَيْسِرِ قُلْ فِيهِمَا إِثْمٌ كَبِيرٌ وَمَنَافِعُ لِلنَّاسِ وَإِثْمُهُمَآ أَكْبَرُ مِن نَّفْعِهِمَا وَيَسْأَلُونَكَ مَاذَا يُنفِقُونَ قُلِ الْعَفْوَ كَذَلِكَ يُبيِّنُ اللّهُ لَكُمُ الْآيَاتِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَفَكَّرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |يسألونك - They ask you| عن - about| الخمر - [the] intoxicants| والميسر - and [the] games of chance| قل - Say,| فيهما - "In both of them| إثم - (is) a sin| كبير - great,| ومنافع - and (some) benefits| للناس - for [the] people.| وإثمهما - But sin of both of them| أكبر - (is) greater| من - than| نفعهما - (the) benefit of (the) two."| ويسألونك - And they ask you| ماذا - what| ينفقون - they (should) spend.| قل - Say,| العفو - "The surplus."| كذلك - Thus| يبين - makes clear| الله - Allah| لكم - to you| الآيات - [the] Verses| لعلكم - so that you may| تتفكرون - ponder,| | ||||||
| 17 [2:223] | Nisaokum harthun lakum fa/tooharthakum anna shi/tum waqaddimoo li-anfusikum waittaqooAllaha waiAAlamoo annakum mulaqoohuwabashshiri almu/mineena | نساؤكم حرث لكم فأتوا حرثكم أنى شئتم وقدموا لأنفسكم واتقوا الله واعلموا أنكم ملاقوه وبشر المؤمنين نِسَآؤُكُمْ حَرْثٌ لَّكُمْ فَأْتُواْ حَرْثَكُمْ أَنَّى شِئْتُمْ وَقَدِّمُواْ لِأَنفُسِكُمْ وَاتَّقُواْ اللّهَ وَاعْلَمُواْ أَنَّكُم مُّلاَقُوهُ وَبَشِّرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |نساؤكم - Your wives| حرث - (are) a tilth| لكم - for you,| فأتوا - so come| حرثكم - (to) your tilth| أنى - when| شئتم - you wish,| وقدموا - and send forth (good deeds)| لأنفسكم - for yourselves.| واتقوا - And be conscious| الله - (of) Allah| واعلموا - and know| أنكم - that you| ملاقوه - (will) meet Him.| وبشر - And give glad tidings| المؤمنين - (to) the believers.| | ||||||
| 18 [2:229] | Alttalaqu marratanifa-imsakun bimaAAroofin aw tasreehun bi-ihsaninwala yahillu lakum an ta/khuthoo mimmaataytumoohunna shay-an illa an yakhafaalla yuqeema hudooda Allahi fa-inkhiftum alla yuqeema hudooda Allahifala junaha AAalayhima feema iftadatbihi tilka hudoodu Allahi fala taAAtadoohawaman yataAAadda hudooda Allahi faola-ikahumu alththalimoona | الطلاق مرتان فإمساك بمعروف أو تسريح بإحسان ولا يحل لكم أن تأخذوا مما آتيتموهن شيئا إلا أن يخافا ألا يقيما حدود الله فإن خفتم ألا يقيما حدود الله فلا جناح عليهما فيما افتدت به تلك حدود الله فلا تعتدوها ومن يتعد حدود الله فأولئك هم الظالمون الطَّلاَقُ مَرَّتَانِ فَإِمْسَاكٌ بِمَعْرُوفٍ أَوْ تَسْرِيحٌ بِإِحْسَانٍ وَلاَ يَحِلُّ لَكُمْ أَن تَأْخُذُواْ مِمَّا آتَيْتُمُوهُنَّ شَيْئًا إِلاَّ أَن يَخَافَا أَلاَّ يُقِيمَا حُدُودَ اللّهِ فَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ أَلاَّ يُقِيمَا حُدُودَ اللّهِ فَلاَ جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِمَا فِيمَا افْتَدَتْ بِهِ تِلْكَ حُدُودُ اللّهِ فَلاَ تَعْتَدُوهَا وَمَن يَتَعَدَّ حُدُودَ اللّهِ فَأُوْلَـئِكَ هُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |الطلاق - The divorce| مرتان - (is) twice.| فإمساك - Then to retain| بمعروف - in a reasonable manner| أو - or| تسريح - to release (her)| بإحسان - with kindness.| ولا - And (it is) not| يحل - lawful| لكم - for you| أن - that| تأخذوا - you take (back)| مما - whatever| آتيتموهن - you have given them| شيئا - anything,| إلا - except| أن - if| يخافا - both fear| ألا - that not| يقيما - they both (can) keep| حدود - (the) limits| الله - (of) Allah.| فإن - But if| خفتم - you fear| ألا - that not| يقيما - they both (can) keep| حدود - (the) limits| الله - (of) Allah| فلا - then (there is) no| جناح - sin| عليهما - on both of them| فيما - in what| افتدت - she ransoms| به - concerning it.| تلك - These| حدود - (are the) limits| الله - (of) Allah,| فلا - so (do) not| تعتدوها - transgress them.| ومن - And whoever| يتعد - transgresses| حدود - (the) limits| الله - (of) Allah| فأولئك - then those -| هم - they| الظالمون - (are) the wrongdoers.| | ||||||
| 19 [2:232] | Wa-itha tallaqtumu alnnisaafabalaghna ajalahunna fala taAAduloohunna an yankihnaazwajahunna itha taradaw baynahum bialmaAAroofithalika yooAAathu bihi man kanaminkum yu/minu biAllahi waalyawmi al-akhirithalikum azka lakum waatharu waAllahuyaAAlamu waantum la taAAlamoona | وإذا طلقتم النساء فبلغن أجلهن فلا تعضلوهن أن ينكحن أزواجهن إذا تراضوا بينهم بالمعروف ذلك يوعظ به من كان منكم يؤمن بالله واليوم الآخر ذلكم أزكى لكم وأطهر والله يعلم وأنتم لا تعلمون وَإِذَا طَلَّقْتُمُ النِّسَاءَ فَبَلَغْنَ أَجَلَهُنَّ فَلاَ تَعْضُلُوهُنَّ أَن يَنكِحْنَ أَزْوَاجَهُنَّ إِذَا تَرَاضَوْاْ بَيْنَهُم بِالْمَعْرُوفِ ذَلِكَ يُوعَظُ بِهِ مَن كَانَ مِنكُمْ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ ذَلِكُمْ أَزْكَى لَكُمْ وَأَطْهَرُ وَاللّهُ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنتُمْ لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| طلقتم - you divorce| النساء - [the] women| فبلغن - and they reached| أجلهن - their (waiting) term,| فلا - then (do) not| تعضلوهن - hinder them| أن - [that]| ينكحن - (from) marrying| أزواجهن - their husbands| إذا - when| تراضوا - they agree| بينهم - between themselves| بالمعروف - in a fair manner.| ذلك - That| يوعظ - is admonished| به - with it| من - whoever| كان - [is]| منكم - among you| يؤمن - believes| بالله - in Allah| واليوم - and the Day| الآخر - [the] Last;| ذلكم - that| أزكى - (is) more virtuous| لكم - for you| وأطهر - and more purer.| والله - And Allah| يعلم - knows| وأنتم - and you| لا - (do) not| تعلمون - know.| | ||||||
| 20 [2:242] | Kathalika yubayyinu Allahulakum ayatihi laAAallakum taAAqiloona | كذلك يبين الله لكم آياته لعلكم تعقلون كَذَلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللّهُ لَكُمْ آيَاتِهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ | |||||
