| 1 [4:19] | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoola yahillu lakum an tarithoo alnnisaakarhan wala taAAduloohunna litathhaboobibaAAdi ma ataytumoohunna illa anya/teena bifahishatin mubayyinatin waAAashiroohunnabialmaAAroofi fa-in karihtumoohunna faAAasa antakrahoo shay-an wayajAAala Allahu feehi khayran katheeran |  يا أيها الذين آمنوا لا يحل لكم أن ترثوا النساء كرها ولا تعضلوهن لتذهبوا ببعض ما آتيتموهن إلا أن يأتين بفاحشة مبينة وعاشروهن بالمعروف فإن كرهتموهن فعسى أن تكرهوا شيئا ويجعل الله فيه خيرا كثيرايَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ لاَ يَحِلُّ لَكُمْ أَن تَرِثُواْ النِّسَاءَ كَرْهًا وَلاَ تَعْضُلُوهُنَّ لِتَذْهَبُواْ بِبَعْضِ مَا آتَيْتُمُوهُنَّ إِلاَّ أَن يَأْتِينَ بِفَاحِشَةٍ مُّبَيِّنَةٍ وَعَاشِرُوهُنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ فَإِن كَرِهْتُمُوهُنَّ فَعَسَى أَن تَكْرَهُواْ شَيْئًا وَيَجْعَلَ اللّهُ فِيهِ خَيْرًا كَثِيرًا | |||||
| Words | |يا - O| أيها - O you| الذين - who| آمنوا - believe[d]!| لا - Not| يحل - (is) lawful| لكم - for you| أن - that| ترثوا - you inherit| النساء - the women| كرها - (by) force.| ولا - And not| تعضلوهن - you constraint them| لتذهبوا - so that you may take| ببعض - a part| ما - (of) what| آتيتموهن - you have given them| إلا - except| أن - that| يأتين - they commit| بفاحشة - immorality| مبينة - open.| وعاشروهن - And live with them| بالمعروف - in kindness.| فإن - But if| كرهتموهن - you dislike them,| فعسى - then perhaps| أن - that| تكرهوا - you dislike| شيئا - a thing| ويجعل - and has placed| الله - Allah| فيه - in it| خيرا - good| كثيرا - much.| | ||||||
| 2 [9:53] | Qul anfiqoo tawAAan aw karhan lanyutaqabbala minkum innakum kuntum qawman fasiqeena | قل أنفقوا طوعا أو كرها لن يتقبل منكم إنكم كنتم قوما فاسقين قُلْ أَنفِقُواْ طَوْعًا أَوْ كَرْهًا لَّن يُتَقَبَّلَ مِنكُمْ إِنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ قَوْمًا فَاسِقِينَ | |||||
| Words | |قل - Say,| أنفقوا - "Spend| طوعا - willingly| أو - or| كرها - unwillingly;| لن - never| يتقبل - will be accepted| منكم - from you.| إنكم - Indeed, you| كنتم - [you] are| قوما - a people| فاسقين - defiantly disobedient."| | ||||||
| 3 [41:11] | Thumma istawa ila alssama-iwahiya dukhanun faqala laha walil-ardii/tiya tawAAan aw karhan qalata ataynata-iAAeena | ثم استوى إلى السماء وهي دخان فقال لها وللأرض ائتيا طوعا أو كرها قالتا أتينا طائعين ثُمَّ اسْتَوَى إِلَى السَّمَاءِ وَهِيَ دُخَانٌ فَقَالَ لَهَا وَلِلْأَرْضِ اِئْتِيَا طَوْعًا أَوْ كَرْهًا قَالَتَا أَتَيْنَا طَائِعِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ثم - Then| استوى - He directed (Himself)| إلى - towards| السماء - the heaven| وهي - while it (was)| دخان - smoke,| فقال - and He said| لها - to it| وللأرض - and to the earth,| ائتيا - "Come both of you| طوعا - willingly| أو - or| كرها - unwillingly."| قالتا - They both said,| أتينا - "We come| طائعين - willingly."| | ||||||
| 4 [46:15] | Wawassayna al-insanabiwalidayhi ihsanan hamalat-hu ommuhukurhan wawadaAAat-hu kurhan wahamluhu wafisaluhuthalathoona shahran hatta ithabalagha ashuddahu wabalagha arbaAAeena sanatan qala rabbiawziAAnee an ashkura niAAmataka allatee anAAamta AAalayya waAAalawalidayya waan aAAmala salihan tardahuwaaslih lee fee thurriyyatee innee tubtuilayka wa-innee mina almuslimeena | ووصينا الإنسان بوالديه إحسانا حملته أمه كرها ووضعته كرها وحمله وفصاله ثلاثون شهرا حتى إذا بلغ أشده وبلغ أربعين سنة قال رب أوزعني أن أشكر نعمتك التي أنعمت علي وعلى والدي وأن أعمل صالحا ترضاه وأصلح لي في ذريتي إني تبت إليك وإني من المسلمين وَوَصَّيْنَا الْإِنسَانَ بِوَالِدَيْهِ إِحْسَانًا حَمَلَتْهُ أُمُّهُ كُرْهًا وَوَضَعَتْهُ كُرْهًا وَحَمْلُهُ وَفِصَالُهُ ثَلَاثُونَ شَهْرًا حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَ أَشُدَّهُ وَبَلَغَ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً قَالَ رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِي أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ الَّتِي أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيَّ وَعَلَى وَالِدَيَّ وَأَنْ أَعْمَلَ صَالِحًا تَرْضَاهُ وَأَصْلِحْ لِي فِي ذُرِّيَّتِي إِنِّي تُبْتُ إِلَيْكَ وَإِنِّي مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ووصينا - And We have enjoined| الإنسان - (on) man| بوالديه - to his parents| إحسانا - kindness.| حملته - Carried him| أمه - his mother| كرها - (with) hardship| ووضعته - and gave birth to him| كرها - (with) hardship.| وحمله - And (the) bearing of him| وفصاله - and (the) weaning of him| ثلاثون - (is) thirty| شهرا - month(s)| حتى - until,| إذا - when| بلغ - he reaches| أشده - his maturity| وبلغ - and reaches| أربعين - forty| سنة - year(s),| قال - he says,| رب - "My Lord,| أوزعني - grant me (the) power| أن - that| أشكر - I may be grateful| نعمتك - (for) Your favor| التي - which| أنعمت - You have bestowed| علي - upon me| وعلى - and upon| والدي - my parents| وأن - and that| أعمل - I do| صالحا - righteous (deeds)| ترضاه - which please You,| وأصلح - and make righteous| لي - for me| في - among| ذريتي - my offspring,| إني - indeed,| تبت - I turn| إليك - to You| وإني - and indeed, I am| من - of| المسلمين - those who submit."| | ||||||
