| 1 [2:34] | Wa-ith qulna lilmala-ikatiosjudoo li-adama fasajadoo illa ibleesa abawaistakbara wakana mina alkafireena |  وإذ قلنا للملائكة اسجدوا لآدم فسجدوا إلا إبليس أبى واستكبر وكان من الكافرينوَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلاَئِكَةِ اسْجُدُواْ لِآدَمَ فَسَجَدُواْ إِلاَّ إِبْلِيسَ أَبَى وَاسْتَكْبَرَ وَكَانَ مِنَ الْكَافِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| قلنا - We said| للملائكة - to the angels,| اسجدوا - "Prostrate| لآدم - to Adam,"| فسجدوا - [so] they prostrated| إلا - except| إبليس - Iblis.| أبى - He refused| واستكبر - and was arrogant| وكان - and became| من - of| الكافرين - the disbelievers.| | ||||||
| 2 [2:38] | Qulna ihbitoo minhajameeAAan fa-imma ya/tiyannakum minnee hudan faman tabiAAahudaya fala khawfun AAalayhim wala hum yahzanoona | قلنا اهبطوا منها جميعا فإما يأتينكم مني هدى فمن تبع هداي فلا خوف عليهم ولا هم يحزنون قُلْنَا اهْبِطُواْ مِنْهَا جَمِيعاً فَإِمَّا يَأْتِيَنَّكُم مِّنِّيْ هُدًى فَمَنْ تَبِعَ هُدَايَ فَلاَ خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلاَ هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ | |||||
| Words | |قلنا - We said,| اهبطوا - "Go down| منها - from it| جميعا - all (of you),| فإما - and when,| يأتينكم - comes to you| مني - from Me| هدى - Guidance,| فمن - then whoever| تبع - follows| هداي - My Guidance,| فلا - [then] no| خوف - fear| عليهم - (will be) on them| ولا - and not| هم - they| يحزنون - will grieve.| | ||||||
| 3 [2:58] | Wa-ith qulna odkhuloo hathihialqaryata fakuloo minha haythu shi/tum raghadan waodkhulooalbaba sujjadan waqooloo hittatun naghfirlakum khatayakum wasanazeedu almuhsineena | وإذ قلنا ادخلوا هذه القرية فكلوا منها حيث شئتم رغدا وادخلوا الباب سجدا وقولوا حطة نغفر لكم خطاياكم وسنزيد المحسنين وَإِذْ قُلْنَا ادْخُلُواْ هَـذِهِ الْقَرْيَةَ فَكُلُواْ مِنْهَا حَيْثُ شِئْتُمْ رَغَداً وَّادْخُلُواْ الْبَابَ سُجَّداً وَّقُولُواْ حِطَّةٌ نَّغْفِرْ لَكُمْ خَطَايَاكُمْ وَسَنَزِيدُ الْمُحْسِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| قلنا - We said,| ادخلوا - "Enter| هذه - this| القرية - town,| فكلوا - then eat| منها - from| حيث - wherever| شئتم - you wish[ed]| رغدا - abundantly,| وادخلوا - and enter| الباب - the gate| سجدا - prostrating.| وقولوا - And say,| حطة - "Repentance."| نغفر - We will forgive| لكم - for you| خطاياكم - your sins.| وسنزيد - And We will increase| المحسنين - the good-doers (in reward)."| | ||||||
| 4 [7:11] | Walaqad khalaqnakum thumma sawwarnakumthumma qulna lilmala-ikati osjudoo li-adamafasajadoo illa ibleesa lam yakun mina alssajideena | ولقد خلقناكم ثم صورناكم ثم قلنا للملائكة اسجدوا لآدم فسجدوا إلا إبليس لم يكن من الساجدين وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَاكُمْ ثُمَّ صَوَّرْنَاكُمْ ثُمَّ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَآئِكَةِ اسْجُدُواْ لِآدَمَ فَسَجَدُواْ إِلاَّ إِبْلِيسَ لَمْ يَكُن مِّنَ السَّاجِدِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And certainly| خلقناكم - We created you| ثم - then| صورناكم - We fashioned you.| ثم - Then| قلنا - We said| للملائكة - to the Angels,| اسجدوا - "Prostrate| لآدم - to Adam,"| فسجدوا - So they prostrated,| إلا - except| إبليس - Iblis.| لم - Not| يكن - he was| من - of| الساجدين - those who prostrated.| | ||||||
| 5 [7:166] | Falamma AAataw AAan ma nuhooAAanhu qulna lahum koonoo qiradatan khasi-eena | فلما عتوا عن ما نهوا عنه قلنا لهم كونوا قردة خاسئين فَلَمَّا عَتَوْاْ عَن مَّا نُهُواْ عَنْهُ قُلْنَا لَهُمْ كُونُواْ قِرَدَةً خَاسِئِينَ | |||||
| Words | |فلما - So when| عتوا - they exceeded all bounds| عن - about| ما - what| نهوا - they were forbidden| عنه - from it,| قلنا - We said| لهم - to them,| كونوا - "Be| قردة - apes,| خاسئين - despised."| | ||||||
| 6 [11:40] | Hatta itha jaaamruna wafara alttannooru qulna ihmilfeeha min kullin zawjayni ithnayni waahlaka illaman sabaqa AAalayhi alqawlu waman amana wama amanamaAAahu illa qaleelun | حتى إذا جاء أمرنا وفار التنور قلنا احمل فيها من كل زوجين اثنين وأهلك إلا من سبق عليه القول ومن آمن وما آمن معه إلا قليل حَتَّى إِذَا جَاءَ أَمْرُنَا وَفَارَ التَّنُّورُ قُلْنَا احْمِلْ فِيهَا مِن كُلٍّ زَوْجَيْنِ اثْنَيْنِ وَأَهْلَكَ إِلاَّ مَن سَبَقَ عَلَيْهِ الْقَوْلُ وَمَنْ آمَنَ وَمَا آمَنَ مَعَهُ إِلاَّ قَلِيلٌ | |||||
| Words | |حتى - Till| إذا - when| جاء - came| أمرنا - Our command,| وفار - and overflowed| التنور - the oven,| قلنا - We said,| احمل - "Load| فيها - in it| من - of| كل - every kind| زوجين - a pair| اثنين - two,| وأهلك - and your family| إلا - except| من - who| سبق - has preceded| عليه - against him| القول - the word,| ومن - and whoever| آمن - believed."| وما - And not| آمن - believed| معه - with him| إلا - except| قليل - a few.| | ||||||
| 7 [17:60] | Wa-ith qulna laka inna rabbakaahata bialnnasi wama jaAAalnaalrru/ya allatee araynaka illafitnatan lilnnasi waalshshajarataalmalAAoonata fee alqur-ani wanukhawwifuhum famayazeeduhum illa tughyanan kabeeran | وإذ قلنا لك إن ربك أحاط بالناس وما جعلنا الرؤيا التي أريناك إلا فتنة للناس والشجرة الملعونة في القرآن ونخوفهم فما يزيدهم إلا طغيانا كبيرا وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لَكَ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ أَحَاطَ بِالنَّاسِ وَمَا جَعَلْنَا الرُّؤيَا الَّتِي أَرَيْنَاكَ إِلاَّ فِتْنَةً لِّلنَّاسِ وَالشَّجَرَةَ الْمَلْعُونَةَ فِي القُرْآنِ وَنُخَوِّفُهُمْ فَمَا يَزِيدُهُمْ إِلاَّ طُغْيَانًا كَبِيرًا | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| قلنا - We said| لك - to you,| إن - "Indeed,| ربك - your Lord| أحاط - has encompassed| بالناس - the mankind."| وما - And not| جعلنا - We made| الرؤيا - the vision| التي - which| أريناك - We showed you| إلا - except| فتنة - (as) a trial| للناس - for mankind,| والشجرة - and the tree| الملعونة - the accursed| في - in| القرآن - the Quran.| ونخوفهم - And We threaten them| فما - but not| يزيدهم - it increases them| إلا - except| طغيانا - (in) transgression| كبيرا - great.| | ||||||
| 8 [17:61] | Wa-ith qulna lilmala-ikatiosjudoo li-adama fasajadoo illa ibleesa qalaaasjudu liman khalaqta teenan | وإذ قلنا للملائكة اسجدوا لآدم فسجدوا إلا إبليس قال أأسجد لمن خلقت طينا وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَآئِكَةِ اسْجُدُواْ لِآدَمَ فَسَجَدُواْ إِلاَّ إِبْلِيسَ قَالَ أَأَسْجُدُ لِمَنْ خَلَقْتَ طِينًا | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| قلنا - We said| للملائكة - to the Angels,| اسجدوا - "Prostrate| لآدم - to Adam."| فسجدوا - So they prostrated| إلا - except| إبليس - Iblis.| قال - He said,| أأسجد - "Shall I prostrate| لمن - to (one) whom| خلقت - You created| طينا - (from) clay?"| | ||||||
| 9 [18:14] | Warabatna AAalaquloobihim ith qamoo faqaloo rabbunarabbu alssamawati waal-ardilan nadAAuwa min doonihi ilahan laqad qulna ithanshatatan | وربطنا على قلوبهم إذ قاموا فقالوا ربنا رب السماوات والأرض لن ندعو من دونه إلها لقد قلنا إذا شططا وَرَبَطْنَا عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ إِذْ قَامُوا فَقَالُوا رَبُّنَا رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ لَن نَّدْعُوَاْ مِن دُونِهِ إِلَهًا لَّقَدْ قُلْنَا إِذًا شَطَطًا | |||||
| Words | |وربطنا - And We made firm| على - [on]| قلوبهم - their hearts| إذ - when| قاموا - they stood up| فقالوا - and said,| ربنا - "Our Lord| رب - (is) the Lord| السماوات - (of) the heavens| والأرض - and the earth.| لن - Never| ندعو - we will invoke| من - besides Him| دونه - besides Him| إلها - any god.| لقد - Certainly,| قلنا - we would have said,| إذا - then,| شططا - an enormity.| | ||||||
| 10 [18:50] | Wa-ith qulna lilmala-ikatiosjudoo li-adama fasajadoo illa ibleesa kanamina aljinni fafasaqa AAan amri rabbihi afatattakhithoonahuwathurriyyatahu awliyaa min doonee wahum lakumAAaduwwun bi/sa lilththalimeena badalan | وإذ قلنا للملائكة اسجدوا لآدم فسجدوا إلا إبليس كان من الجن ففسق عن أمر ربه أفتتخذونه وذريته أولياء من دوني وهم لكم عدو بئس للظالمين بدلا وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلاَئِكَةِ اسْجُدُوا لِآدَمَ فَسَجَدُوا إِلاَّ إِبْلِيسَ كَانَ مِنَ الْجِنِّ فَفَسَقَ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِ أَفَتَتَّخِذُونَهُ وَذُرِّيَّتَهُ أَوْلِيَاءَ مِن دُونِي وَهُمْ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ بِئْسَ لِلظَّالِمِينَ بَدَلاً | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| قلنا - We said| للملائكة - to the Angels,| اسجدوا - "Prostrate| لآدم - to Adam,"| فسجدوا - so they prostrated| إلا - except| إبليس - Iblis.| كان - (He) was| من - of| الجن - the jinn,| ففسق - and he rebelled| عن - against| أمر - the Command| ربه - (of) his Lord.| أفتتخذونه - Will you then take him| وذريته - and his offspring| أولياء - (as) protectors| من - other than Me,| دوني - other than Me,| وهم - while they| لكم - (are) to you| عدو - enemies?| بئس - Wretched| للظالمين - for the wrongdoers| بدلا - (is) the exchange.| | ||||||
| 11 [18:86] | Hatta itha balaghamaghriba alshshamsi wajadaha taghrubu fee AAaynin hami-atinwawajada AAindaha qawman qulna ya thaalqarnayni imma an tuAAaththiba wa-imma antattakhitha feehim husnan | حتى إذا بلغ مغرب الشمس وجدها تغرب في عين حمئة ووجد عندها قوما قلنا يا ذا القرنين إما أن تعذب وإما أن تتخذ فيهم حسنا حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَ مَغْرِبَ الشَّمْسِ وَجَدَهَا تَغْرُبُ فِي عَيْنٍ حَمِئَةٍ وَوَجَدَ عِندَهَا قَوْمًا قُلْنَا يَا ذَا الْقَرْنَيْنِ إِمَّا أَن تُعَذِّبَ وَإِمَّا أَن تَتَّخِذَ فِيهِمْ حُسْنًا | |||||
| Words | |حتى - Until,| إذا - when| بلغ - he reached| مغرب - (the) setting place| الشمس - (of) the sun,| وجدها - he found it| تغرب - setting| في - in| عين - a spring| حمئة - (of) dark mud,| ووجد - and he found| عندها - near it| قوما - a community.| قلنا - We said,| يا - O| ذا - "O Dhul-qarnain!| القرنين - "O Dhul-qarnain!| إما - Either| أن - [that]| تعذب - you punish| وإما - or| أن - [that]| تتخذ - you take| فيهم - [in] them| حسنا - (with) goodness."| | ||||||
| 12 [20:68] | Qulna la takhaf innaka antaal-aAAla | قلنا لا تخف إنك أنت الأعلى قُلْنَا لَا تَخَفْ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْأَعْلَى | |||||
| Words | |قلنا - We said,| لا - "(Do) not| تخف - fear.| إنك - Indeed, you| أنت - you| الأعلى - (will be) superior.| | ||||||
