| 1 [2:144] | Qad nara taqalluba wajhika fee alssama-ifalanuwalliyannaka qiblatan tardaha fawalli wajhakashatra almasjidi alharami wahaythu makuntum fawalloo wujoohakum shatrahu wa-inna allatheenaootoo alkitaba layaAAlamoona annahu alhaqqu minrabbihim wama Allahu bighafilin AAammayaAAmaloona |  قد نرى تقلب وجهك في السماء فلنولينك قبلة ترضاها فول وجهك شطر المسجد الحرام وحيث ما كنتم فولوا وجوهكم شطره وإن الذين أوتوا الكتاب ليعلمون أنه الحق من ربهم وما الله بغافل عما يعملونقَدْ نَرَى تَقَلُّبَ وَجْهِكَ فِي السَّمَاءِ فَلَنُوَلِّيَنَّكَ قِبْلَةً تَرْضَاهَا فَوَلِّ وَجْهَكَ شَطْرَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَحَيْثُ مَا كُنتُمْ فَوَلُّواْ وُجُوهَكُمْ شَطْرَهُ وَإِنَّ الَّذِينَ أُوْتُواْ الْكِتَابَ لَيَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّهُ الْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّهِمْ وَمَا اللّهُ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا يَعْمَلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |قد - Indeed,| نرى - We see| تقلب - (the) turning| وجهك - (of) your face| في - towards| السماء - the heaven.| فلنولينك - So We will surely turn you| قبلة - (to the) direction of prayer| ترضاها - you will be pleased with.| فول - So turn| وجهك - your face| شطر - towards the direction| المسجد - (of) Al-Masjid| الحرام - Al-Haraam| وحيث - and wherever| ما - that| كنتم - you are| فولوا - [so] turn| وجوهكم - your faces| شطره - (in) its direction.| وإن - And indeed,| الذين - those who| أوتوا - were given| الكتاب - the Book| ليعلمون - surely know| أنه - that it| الحق - (is) the truth| من - from| ربهم - their Lord.| وما - And not| الله - (is) Allah| بغافل - unaware| عما - of what| يعملون - they do.| | ||||||
| 2 [2:145] | Wala-in atayta allatheena ootooalkitaba bikulli ayatin ma tabiAAooqiblataka wama anta bitabiAAin qiblatahum wamabaAAduhum bitabiAAin qiblata baAAdinwala-ini ittabaAAta ahwaahum min baAAdi ma jaakamina alAAilmi innaka ithan lamina alththalimeena | ولئن أتيت الذين أوتوا الكتاب بكل آية ما تبعوا قبلتك وما أنت بتابع قبلتهم وما بعضهم بتابع قبلة بعض ولئن اتبعت أهواءهم من بعد ما جاءك من العلم إنك إذا لمن الظالمين وَلَئِنْ أَتَيْتَ الَّذِينَ أُوْتُواْ الْكِتَابَ بِكُلِّ آيَةٍ مَّا تَبِعُواْ قِبْلَتَكَ وَمَا أَنتَ بِتَابِعٍ قِبْلَتَهُمْ وَمَا بَعْضُهُم بِتَابِعٍ قِبْلَةَ بَعْضٍ وَلَئِنِ اتَّبَعْتَ أَهْوَاءَهُم مِّن بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ إِنَّكَ إِذاً لَّمِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ولئن - And even if| أتيت - you come| الذين - (to) those who| أوتوا - were given| الكتاب - the Book| بكل - with all| آية - (the) signs,| ما - not| تبعوا - they would follow| قبلتك - your direction of prayer,| وما - and not| أنت - (will) you (be)| بتابع - a follower| قبلتهم - (of) their direction of prayer.| وما - And not| بعضهم - some of them| بتابع - (are) followers| قبلة - (of the) direction of prayer| بعض - (of each) other.| ولئن - And if| اتبعت - you followed| أهواءهم - their desires| من - from| بعد - after| ما - [what]| جاءك - came to you| من - of| العلم - the knowledge,| إنك - indeed, you| إذا - (would) then| لمن - (be) surely among| الظالمين - the wrongdoers.| | ||||||
| 3 [10:87] | Waawhayna ila moosawaakheehi an tabawwaa liqawmikuma bimisrabuyootan waijAAaloo buyootakum qiblatan waaqeemoo alssalatawabashshiri almu/mineena | وأوحينا إلى موسى وأخيه أن تبوآ لقومكما بمصر بيوتا واجعلوا بيوتكم قبلة وأقيموا الصلاة وبشر المؤمنين وَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَى مُوسَى وَأَخِيهِ أَن تَبَوَّءَا لِقَوْمِكُمَا بِمِصْرَ بُيُوتًا وَاجْعَلُواْ بُيُوتَكُمْ قِبْلَةً وَأَقِيمُواْ الصَّلاَةَ وَبَشِّرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وأوحينا - And We inspired| إلى - to| موسى - Musa| وأخيه - and his brother| أن - that,| تبوآ - "Settle| لقومكما - your people| بمصر - in Egypt| بيوتا - (in) houses,| واجعلوا - and make| بيوتكم - your houses| قبلة - (as) places of worship,| وأقيموا - and establish| الصلاة - the prayer.| وبشر - And give glad tidings| المؤمنين - (to) the believers."| | ||||||
