| 1 [7:155] | Waikhtara moosaqawmahu sabAAeena rajulan limeeqatina falammaakhathat-humu alrrajfatu qala rabbi lawshi/ta ahlaktahum min qablu wa-iyyaya atuhlikunabima faAAala alssufahao minna in hiyailla fitnatuka tudillu biha man tashaowatahdee man tashao anta waliyyuna faighfirlana wairhamna waanta khayru alghafireena |  واختار موسى قومه سبعين رجلا لميقاتنا فلما أخذتهم الرجفة قال رب لو شئت أهلكتهم من قبل وإياي أتهلكنا بما فعل السفهاء منا إن هي إلا فتنتك تضل بها من تشاء وتهدي من تشاء أنت ولينا فاغفر لنا وارحمنا وأنت خير الغافرينوَاخْتَارَ مُوسَى قَوْمَهُ سَبْعِينَ رَجُلاً لِّمِيقَاتِنَا فَلَمَّا أَخَذَتْهُمُ الرَّجْفَةُ قَالَ رَبِّ لَوْ شِئْتَ أَهْلَكْتَهُم مِّن قَبْلُ وَإِيَّايَ أَتُهْلِكُنَا بِمَا فَعَلَ السُّفَهَاءُ مِنَّا إِنْ هِيَ إِلاَّ فِتْنَتُكَ تُضِلُّ بِهَا مَن تَشَاءُ وَتَهْدِي مَن تَشَاءُ أَنتَ وَلِيُّنَا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الْغَافِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |واختار - And chose| موسى - Musa| قومه - (from) his people| سبعين - seventy| رجلا - men| لميقاتنا - for Our appointment.| فلما - Then when| أخذتهم - seized them| الرجفة - the earthquake| قال - he said,| رب - "O my Lord!| لو - If| شئت - you (had) willed,| أهلكتهم - You (could) have destroyed them| من - from| قبل - before| وإياي - and me.| أتهلكنا - Would You destroy us| بما - for what| فعل - did| السفهاء - the foolish| منا - among us?| إن - Not| هي - it (was)| إلا - but| فتنتك - Your trial,| تضل - You let go astray| بها - by it| من - whom| تشاء - You will| وتهدي - and You guide| من - whom| تشاء - You will.| أنت - You| ولينا - (are) our Protector,| فاغفر - so forgive| لنا - us| وارحمنا - and have mercy upon us,| وأنت - and You| خير - (are) Best| الغافرين - (of) Forgivers.| | ||||||
| 2 [7:173] | Aw taqooloo innama ashraka abaonamin qablu wakunna thurriyyatan min baAAdihimafatuhlikuna bima faAAala almubtiloona | أو تقولوا إنما أشرك آباؤنا من قبل وكنا ذرية من بعدهم أفتهلكنا بما فعل المبطلون أَوْ تَقُولُواْ إِنَّمَا أَشْرَكَ آبَاؤُنَا مِن قَبْلُ وَكُنَّا ذُرِّيَّةً مِّن بَعْدِهِمْ أَفَتُهْلِكُنَا بِمَا فَعَلَ الْمُبْطِلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |أو - Or| تقولوا - you say,| إنما - "Only| أشرك - partners (were) associated (with Allah)| آباؤنا - (by) our forefathers| من - from| قبل - before (us)| وكنا - and we are| ذرية - descendants| من - from| بعدهم - after them.| أفتهلكنا - So will You destroy us| بما - for what| فعل - did| المبطلون - the falsifiers?"| | ||||||
| 3 [16:33] | Hal yanthuroona illa anta/tiyahumu almala-ikatu aw ya/tiya amru rabbika kathalikafaAAala allatheena min qablihim wama thalamahumuAllahu walakin kanoo anfusahum yathlimoona | هل ينظرون إلا أن تأتيهم الملائكة أو يأتي أمر ربك كذلك فعل الذين من قبلهم وما ظلمهم الله ولكن كانوا أنفسهم يظلمون هَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلاَّ أَن تَأْتِيَهُمُ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ أَوْ يَأْتِيَ أَمْرُ رَبِّكَ كَذَلِكَ فَعَلَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ وَمَا ظَلَمَهُمُ اللّهُ وَلـكِن كَانُواْ أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |هل - Do| ينظرون - they wait| إلا - except| أن - that| تأتيهم - (should) come to them| الملائكة - the Angels| أو - or| يأتي - (should) come| أمر - (the) Command| ربك - (of) your Lord?| كذلك - Thus| فعل - did| الذين - those who| من - (were) before them.| قبلهم - (were) before them.| وما - And not| ظلمهم - wronged them| الله - Allah| ولكن - but| كانوا - they were| أنفسهم - themselves| يظلمون - wronging.| | ||||||
| 4 [16:35] | Waqala allatheena ashrakoo lawshaa Allahu ma AAabadna min doonihimin shay-in nahnu wala abaonawala harramna min doonihi min shay-in kathalikafaAAala allatheena min qablihim fahal AAala alrrusuliilla albalaghu almubeenu | وقال الذين أشركوا لو شاء الله ما عبدنا من دونه من شيء نحن ولا آباؤنا ولا حرمنا من دونه من شيء كذلك فعل الذين من قبلهم فهل على الرسل إلا البلاغ المبين وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُواْ لَوْ شَاءَ اللّهُ مَا عَبَدْنَا مِن دُونِهِ مِن شَيْءٍ نَّحْنُ وَلاَ آبَاؤُنَا وَلاَ حَرَّمْنَا مِن دُونِهِ مِن شَيْءٍ كَذَلِكَ فَعَلَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ فَهَلْ عَلَى الرُّسُلِ إِلاَّ الْبَلاغُ الْمُبِينُ | |||||
| Words | |وقال - And said| الذين - those who| أشركوا - associate partners (with Allah),| لو - "If| شاء - Allah (had) willed| الله - Allah (had) willed| ما - not| عبدنا - we (would) have worshipped| من - other than Him| دونه - other than Him| من - any| شيء - thing,| نحن - we| ولا - and not| آباؤنا - our forefathers| ولا - and not| حرمنا - we (would) have forbidden| من - other than Him| دونه - other than Him| من - anything."| شيء - anything."| كذلك - Thus| فعل - did| الذين - those who| من - (were) before them.| قبلهم - (were) before them.| فهل - Then is (there)| على - on| الرسل - the messengers| إلا - except| البلاغ - the conveyance| المبين - clear?| | ||||||
| 5 [21:59] | Qaloo man faAAala hatha bi-alihatinainnahu lamina alththalimeena | قالوا من فعل هذا بآلهتنا إنه لمن الظالمين قَالُوا مَن فَعَلَ هَذَا بِآلِهَتِنَا إِنَّهُ لَمِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |قالوا - They said,| من - "Who| فعل - (has) done| هذا - this| بآلهتنا - to our gods?| إنه - Indeed, he| لمن - (is) of| الظالمين - the wrongdoers."| | ||||||
| 6 [21:73] | WajaAAalnahum a-immatan yahdoonabi-amrina waawhayna ilayhim fiAAla alkhayratiwa-iqama alssalati wa-eetaa alzzakatiwakanoo lana AAabideena | وجعلناهم أئمة يهدون بأمرنا وأوحينا إليهم فعل الخيرات وإقام الصلاة وإيتاء الزكاة وكانوا لنا عابدين وَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ أَئِمَّةً يَهْدُونَ بِأَمْرِنَا وَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْهِمْ فِعْلَ الْخَيْرَاتِ وَإِقَامَ الصَّلَاةِ وَإِيتَاءَ الزَّكَاةِ وَكَانُوا لَنَا عَابِدِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وجعلناهم - And We made them| أئمة - leaders,| يهدون - they guide| بأمرنا - by Our Command.| وأوحينا - And We inspired| إليهم - to them| فعل - (the) doing| الخيرات - (of) good deeds,| وإقام - and establishment| الصلاة - (of) the prayer| وإيتاء - and giving| الزكاة - (of) zakah;| وكانوا - and they were| لنا - of Us| عابدين - worshippers.| | ||||||
| 7 [34:54] | Waheela baynahum wabayna mayashtahoona kama fuAAila bi-ashyaAAihim min qabluinnahum kanoo fee shakkin mureebin | وحيل بينهم وبين ما يشتهون كما فعل بأشياعهم من قبل إنهم كانوا في شك مريب وَحِيلَ بَيْنَهُمْ وَبَيْنَ مَا يَشْتَهُونَ كَمَا فُعِلَ بِأَشْيَاعِهِم مِّن قَبْلُ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا فِي شَكٍّ مُّرِيبٍ | |||||
| Words | |وحيل - And a barrier will be placed| بينهم - between them| وبين - and between| ما - what| يشتهون - they desire,| كما - as| فعل - was done| بأشياعهم - with their kind| من - before.| قبل - before.| إنهم - Indeed, they| كانوا - were| في - in| شك - doubt| مريب - disquieting.| | ||||||
| 8 [89:6] | Alam tara kayfa faAAala rabbuka biAAadin | ألم تر كيف فعل ربك بعاد أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِعَادٍ | |||||
