| 1 [4:19] | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoola yahillu lakum an tarithoo alnnisaakarhan wala taAAduloohunna litathhaboobibaAAdi ma ataytumoohunna illa anya/teena bifahishatin mubayyinatin waAAashiroohunnabialmaAAroofi fa-in karihtumoohunna faAAasa antakrahoo shay-an wayajAAala Allahu feehi khayran katheeran |  يا أيها الذين آمنوا لا يحل لكم أن ترثوا النساء كرها ولا تعضلوهن لتذهبوا ببعض ما آتيتموهن إلا أن يأتين بفاحشة مبينة وعاشروهن بالمعروف فإن كرهتموهن فعسى أن تكرهوا شيئا ويجعل الله فيه خيرا كثيرايَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ لاَ يَحِلُّ لَكُمْ أَن تَرِثُواْ النِّسَاءَ كَرْهًا وَلاَ تَعْضُلُوهُنَّ لِتَذْهَبُواْ بِبَعْضِ مَا آتَيْتُمُوهُنَّ إِلاَّ أَن يَأْتِينَ بِفَاحِشَةٍ مُّبَيِّنَةٍ وَعَاشِرُوهُنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ فَإِن كَرِهْتُمُوهُنَّ فَعَسَى أَن تَكْرَهُواْ شَيْئًا وَيَجْعَلَ اللّهُ فِيهِ خَيْرًا كَثِيرًا | |||||
| Words | |يا - O| أيها - O you| الذين - who| آمنوا - believe[d]!| لا - Not| يحل - (is) lawful| لكم - for you| أن - that| ترثوا - you inherit| النساء - the women| كرها - (by) force.| ولا - And not| تعضلوهن - you constraint them| لتذهبوا - so that you may take| ببعض - a part| ما - (of) what| آتيتموهن - you have given them| إلا - except| أن - that| يأتين - they commit| بفاحشة - immorality| مبينة - open.| وعاشروهن - And live with them| بالمعروف - in kindness.| فإن - But if| كرهتموهن - you dislike them,| فعسى - then perhaps| أن - that| تكرهوا - you dislike| شيئا - a thing| ويجعل - and has placed| الله - Allah| فيه - in it| خيرا - good| كثيرا - much.| | ||||||
| 2 [5:52] | Fatara allatheena feequloobihim maradun yusariAAoona feehim yaqooloonanakhsha an tuseebana da-iratun faAAasaAllahu an ya/tiya bialfathi aw amrin minAAindihi fayusbihoo AAala ma asarroofee anfusihim nadimeena | فترى الذين في قلوبهم مرض يسارعون فيهم يقولون نخشى أن تصيبنا دائرة فعسى الله أن يأتي بالفتح أو أمر من عنده فيصبحوا على ما أسروا في أنفسهم نادمين فَتَرَى الَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ يُسَارِعُونَ فِيهِمْ يَقُولُونَ نَخْشَى أَن تُصِيبَنَا دَآئِرَةٌ فَعَسَى اللّهُ أَن يَأْتِيَ بِالْفَتْحِ أَوْ أَمْرٍ مِّنْ عِندِهِ فَيُصْبِحُواْ عَلَى مَا أَسَرُّواْ فِي أَنْفُسِهِمْ نَادِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |فترى - And you see| الذين - those -| في - in| قلوبهم - their hearts| مرض - (is) a disease| يسارعون - they hasten| فيهم - to them| يقولون - saying,| نخشى - "We fear| أن - that| تصيبنا - (may) strike us| دائرة - a misfortune."| فعسى - But perhaps| الله - Allah| أن - [that]| يأتي - will bring| بالفتح - the victory| أو - or| أمر - a decision| من - from| عنده - (of) Him.| فيصبحوا - Then they will become| على - for| ما - what| أسروا - they had concealed| في - within| أنفسهم - themselves,| نادمين - regretful.| | ||||||
| 3 [9:18] | Innama yaAAmuru masajida Allahiman amana biAllahi waalyawmi al-akhiriwaaqama alssalata waataalzzakata walam yakhsha illa AllahafaAAasa ola-ika an yakoonoo mina almuhtadeena | إنما يعمر مساجد الله من آمن بالله واليوم الآخر وأقام الصلاة وآتى الزكاة ولم يخش إلا الله فعسى أولئك أن يكونوا من المهتدين إِنَّمَا يَعْمُرُ مَسَاجِدَ اللّهِ مَنْ آمَنَ بِاللّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَأَقَامَ الصَّلاَةَ وَآتَى الزَّكَاةَ وَلَمْ يَخْشَ إِلاَّ اللّهَ فَعَسَى أُوْلَـئِكَ أَن يَكُونُواْ مِنَ الْمُهْتَدِينَ | |||||
| Words | |إنما - Only| يعمر - will maintain| مساجد - (the) masajid of Allah| الله - (the) masajid of Allah| من - (the one) who| آمن - believes| بالله - in Allah| واليوم - and the Day| الآخر - the Last,| وأقام - and establishes| الصلاة - the prayer| وآتى - and gives| الزكاة - the zakah| ولم - and not| يخش - fear| إلا - except| الله - Allah.| فعسى - Then perhaps| أولئك - those,| أن - [that]| يكونوا - they are| من - of| المهتدين - the guided ones.| | ||||||
| 4 [18:40] | FaAAasa rabbee an yu/tiyani khayranmin jannatika wayursila AAalayha husbananmina alssama-i fatusbiha saAAeedanzalaqan | فعسى ربي أن يؤتين خيرا من جنتك ويرسل عليها حسبانا من السماء فتصبح صعيدا زلقا فَعَسَى رَبِّي أَن يُؤْتِيَنِ خَيْرًا مِّن جَنَّتِكَ وَيُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهَا حُسْبَانًا مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ فَتُصْبِحَ صَعِيدًا زَلَقًا | |||||
| Words | |فعسى - It may be| ربي - that my Lord| أن - that my Lord| يؤتين - will give me| خيرا - better| من - than| جنتك - your garden| ويرسل - and will send| عليها - upon it| حسبانا - a calamity| من - from| السماء - the sky,| فتصبح - then it will become| صعيدا - ground| زلقا - slippery,| | ||||||
| 5 [28:67] | Faamma man taba waamanawaAAamila salihan faAAasa an yakoona minaalmufliheena | فأما من تاب وآمن وعمل صالحا فعسى أن يكون من المفلحين فَأَمَّا مَن تَابَ وَآمَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَعَسَى أَن يَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُفْلِحِينَ | |||||
| Words | |فأما - But as for| من - (him) who| تاب - repented| وآمن - and believed,| وعمل - and did| صالحا - righteousness,| فعسى - then perhaps| أن - [that]| يكون - he will be| من - of| المفلحين - the successful ones.| | ||||||
