| 1 [3:187] | Wa-ith akhatha Allahumeethaqa allatheena ootoo alkitabalatubayyinunnahu lilnnasi wala taktumoonahufanabathoohu waraa thuhoorihim waishtarawbihi thamanan qaleelan fabi/sa ma yashtaroona |  وإذ أخذ الله ميثاق الذين أوتوا الكتاب لتبيننه للناس ولا تكتمونه فنبذوه وراء ظهورهم واشتروا به ثمنا قليلا فبئس ما يشترونوَإِذْ أَخَذَ اللّهُ مِيثَاقَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ الْكِتَابَ لَتُبَيِّنُنَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ وَلاَ تَكْتُمُونَهُ فَنَبَذُوهُ وَرَاءَ ظُهُورِهِمْ وَاشْتَرَوْاْ بِهِ ثَمَناً قَلِيلاً فَبِئْسَ مَا يَشْتَرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| أخذ - took| الله - Allah| ميثاق - a Covenant| الذين - (from) those who| أوتوا - were given| الكتاب - the Book,| لتبيننه - "You certainly make it clear| للناس - to the mankind| ولا - and (do) not| تكتمونه - conceal it.| فنبذوه - Then they threw it| وراء - behind| ظهورهم - their backs| واشتروا - and they exchanged| به - [with] it| ثمنا - (for) a price| قليلا - little.| فبئس - And wretched| ما - (is) what| يشترون - they purchase.| | ||||||
| 2 [38:56] | Jahannama yaslawnaha fabi/saalmihadu | جهنم يصلونها فبئس المهاد جَهَنَّمَ يَصْلَوْنَهَا فَبِئْسَ الْمِهَادُ | |||||
| Words | |جهنم - Hell;| يصلونها - they will burn therein| فبئس - and wretched (is)| المهاد - the resting place.| | ||||||
| 3 [38:60] | Qaloo bal antum la marhabanbikum antum qaddamtumoohu lana fabi/sa alqararu | قالوا بل أنتم لا مرحبا بكم أنتم قدمتموه لنا فبئس القرار قَالُوا بَلْ أَنتُمْ لَا مَرْحَبًا بِكُمْ أَنتُمْ قَدَّمْتُمُوهُ لَنَا فَبِئْسَ الْقَرَارُ | |||||
| Words | |قالوا - They say,| بل - "Nay!| أنتم - You -| لا - no| مرحبا - welcome| بكم - for you.| أنتم - You| قدمتموه - brought this| لنا - upon us.| فبئس - So wretched (is)| القرار - the settlement."| | ||||||
| 4 [39:72] | Qeela odkhuloo abwaba jahannama khalideenafeeha fabi/sa mathwa almutakabbireena | قيل ادخلوا أبواب جهنم خالدين فيها فبئس مثوى المتكبرين قِيلَ ادْخُلُوا أَبْوَابَ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا فَبِئْسَ مَثْوَى الْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |قيل - It will be said,| ادخلوا - "Enter| أبواب - (the) gates| جهنم - (of) Hell| خالدين - (to) abide eternally| فيها - therein,| فبئس - and wretched is| مثوى - (the) abode| المتكبرين - (of) the arrogant."| | ||||||
| 5 [40:76] | Odkhuloo abwaba jahannama khalideenafeeha fabi/sa mathwa almutakabbireena | ادخلوا أبواب جهنم خالدين فيها فبئس مثوى المتكبرين ادْخُلُوا أَبْوَابَ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا فَبِئْسَ مَثْوَى الْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ | |||||

| 6 [43:38] | Hatta itha jaanaqala ya layta baynee wabaynaka buAAda almashriqaynifabi/sa alqareenu | حتى إذا جاءنا قال يا ليت بيني وبينك بعد المشرقين فبئس القرين حَتَّى إِذَا جَاءَنَا قَالَ يَا لَيْتَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكَ بُعْدَ الْمَشْرِقَيْنِ فَبِئْسَ الْقَرِينُ | |||||
| Words | |حتى - Until| إذا - when| جاءنا - he comes to Us| قال - he says,| يا - O| ليت - "O would that| بيني - between me| وبينك - and between you| بعد - (were the) distance| المشرقين - (of) the East and the West."| فبئس - How wretched is| القرين - the companion!| | ||||||
| 7 [58:8] | Alam tara ila allatheena nuhooAAani alnnajwa thumma yaAAoodoona lima nuhooAAanhu wayatanajawna bial-ithmi waalAAudwaniwamaAAsiyati alrrasooli wa-itha jaookahayyawka bima lam yuhayyika bihi Allahuwayaqooloona fee anfusihim lawla yuAAaththibunaAllahu bima naqoolu hasbuhum jahannamu yaslawnahafabi/sa almaseeru | ألم تر إلى الذين نهوا عن النجوى ثم يعودون لما نهوا عنه ويتناجون بالإثم والعدوان ومعصيت الرسول وإذا جاءوك حيوك بما لم يحيك به الله ويقولون في أنفسهم لولا يعذبنا الله بما نقول حسبهم جهنم يصلونها فبئس المصير أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ نُهُوا عَنِ النَّجْوَى ثُمَّ يَعُودُونَ لِمَا نُهُوا عَنْهُ وَيَتَنَاجَوْنَ بِالْإِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ وَمَعْصِيَتِ الرَّسُولِ وَإِذَا جَاؤُوكَ حَيَّوْكَ بِمَا لَمْ يُحَيِّكَ بِهِ اللَّهُ وَيَقُولُونَ فِي أَنفُسِهِمْ لَوْلَا يُعَذِّبُنَا اللَّهُ بِمَا نَقُولُ حَسْبُهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ يَصْلَوْنَهَا فَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُ | |||||
| Words | |ألم - Do not| تر - you see| إلى - [to]| الذين - those who| نهوا - were forbidden| عن - from| النجوى - secret counsels,| ثم - then| يعودون - they return| لما - to what| نهوا - they were forbidden| عنه - from [it],| ويتناجون - and they hold secret counsels| بالإثم - for sin| والعدوان - and aggression| ومعصيت - and disobedience| الرسول - (to) the Messenger?| وإذا - And when| جاءوك - they come to you,| حيوك - they greet you| بما - with what| لم - not| يحيك - greets you| به - therewith| الله - Allah,| ويقولون - and they say| في - among| أنفسهم - themselves,| لولا - "Why (does) not| يعذبنا - Allah punish us| الله - Allah punish us| بما - for what| نقول - we say?"| حسبهم - Sufficient (for) them| جهنم - (is) Hell,| يصلونها - they will burn in it| فبئس - and worst is| المصير - the destination.| | ||||||
