| 1 [7:204] | Wa-itha quri-a alqur-anu faistamiAAoolahu waansitoo laAAallakum turhamoona |  وإذا قرئ القرآن فاستمعوا له وأنصتوا لعلكم ترحمونوَإِذَا قُرِئَ الْقُرْآنُ فَاسْتَمِعُواْ لَهُ وَأَنصِتُواْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| قرئ - is recited| القرآن - the Quran,| فاستمعوا - then listen| له - to it| وأنصتوا - and pay attention| لعلكم - so that you may| ترحمون - receive mercy.| | ||||||
| 2 [22:73] | Ya ayyuha alnnasuduriba mathalun faistamiAAoo lahu inna allatheenatadAAoona min dooni Allahi lan yakhluqoo thubabanwalawi ijtamaAAoo lahu wa-in yaslubuhumu alththubabushay-an la yastanqithoohu minhu daAAufa alttalibuwaalmatloobu | يا أيها الناس ضرب مثل فاستمعوا له إن الذين تدعون من دون الله لن يخلقوا ذبابا ولو اجتمعوا له وإن يسلبهم الذباب شيئا لا يستنقذوه منه ضعف الطالب والمطلوب يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ ضُرِبَ مَثَلٌ فَاسْتَمِعُوا لَهُ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ لَن يَخْلُقُوا ذُبَابًا وَلَوِ اجْتَمَعُوا لَهُ وَإِن يَسْلُبْهُمُ الذُّبَابُ شَيْئًا لَّا يَسْتَنقِذُوهُ مِنْهُ ضَعُفَ الطَّالِبُ وَالْمَطْلُوبُ | |||||
| Words | |يا - O| أيها - O mankind!| الناس - O mankind!| ضرب - Is set forth| مثل - an example,| فاستمعوا - so listen| له - to it.| إن - Indeed,| الذين - those whom| تدعون - you invoke| من - besides Allah| دون - besides Allah| الله - besides Allah| لن - will never| يخلقوا - create| ذبابا - a fly| ولو - even if| اجتمعوا - they gathered together| له - for it.| وإن - And if| يسلبهم - snatched away from them| الذباب - the fly| شيئا - a thing| لا - not| يستنقذوه - they (could) take it back| منه - from it.| ضعف - So weak| الطالب - (are) the seeker| والمطلوب - and the one who is sought.| | ||||||
