| 1 [2:26] | Inna Allaha la yastahyeean yadriba mathalan ma baAAoodatan famafawqaha faamma allatheena amanoofayaAAlamoona annahu alhaqqu min rabbihim waammaallatheena kafaroo fayaqooloona matha aradaAllahu bihatha mathalan yudillu bihikatheeran wayahdee bihi katheeran wama yudillu bihiilla alfasiqeena |  إن الله لا يستحيي أن يضرب مثلا ما بعوضة فما فوقها فأما الذين آمنوا فيعلمون أنه الحق من ربهم وأما الذين كفروا فيقولون ماذا أراد الله بهذا مثلا يضل به كثيرا ويهدي به كثيرا وما يضل به إلا الفاسقينإِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يَسْتَحْيِي أَن يَّضْرِبَ مَثَلاً مَّا بَعُوضَةً فَمَا فَوْقَهَا فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ فَيَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّهُ الْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّهِمْ وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ فَيَقُولُونَ مَاذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ بِهَـذَا مَثَلاً يُضِلُّ بِهِ كَثِيراً وَّيَهْدِي بِهِ كَثِيراً وَمَا يُضِلُّ بِهِ إِلاَّ الْفَاسِقِينَ | |||||
| Words | |إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| لا - (is) not| يستحيي - ashamed| أن - to| يضرب - set forth| مثلا - an example| ما - (like) even| بعوضة - (of) a mosquito| فما - and (even) something| فوقها - above it.| فأما - Then as for| الذين - those who| آمنوا - believed,| فيعلمون - [thus] they will know| أنه - that it| الحق - (is) the truth| من - from| ربهم - their Lord.| وأما - And as for| الذين - those who| كفروا - disbelieved| فيقولون - [thus] they will say| ماذا - what| أراد - (did) intend| الله - Allah| بهذا - by this| مثلا - example?| يضل - He lets go astray| به - by it| كثيرا - many| ويهدي - and He guides| به - by it| كثيرا - many.| وما - And not| يضل - He lets go astray| به - by it| إلا - except| الفاسقين - the defiantly disobedient.| | ||||||
| 2 [3:7] | Huwa allathee anzala AAalayka alkitabaminhu ayatun muhkamatun hunna ommualkitabi waokharu mutashabihatun faammaallatheena fee quloobihim zayghun fayattabiAAoona matashabaha minhu ibtighaa alfitnati waibtighaata/weelihi wama yaAAlamu ta/weelahu illa Allahuwaalrrasikhoona fee alAAilmi yaqooloona amannabihi kullun min AAindi rabbina wama yaththakkaruilla oloo al-albabi | هو الذي أنزل عليك الكتاب منه آيات محكمات هن أم الكتاب وأخر متشابهات فأما الذين في قلوبهم زيغ فيتبعون ما تشابه منه ابتغاء الفتنة وابتغاء تأويله وما يعلم تأويله إلا الله والراسخون في العلم يقولون آمنا به كل من عند ربنا وما يذكر إلا أولو الألباب هُوَ الَّذِي أَنزَلَ عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ مِنْهُ آيَاتٌ مُّحْكَمَاتٌ هُنَّ أُمُّ الْكِتَابِ وَأُخَرُ مُتَشَابِهَاتٌ فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ زَيْغٌ فَيَتَّبِعُونَ مَا تَشَابَهَ مِنْهُ ابْتِغَاءَ الْفِتْنَةِ وَابْتِغَاءَ تَأْوِيلِهِ وَمَا يَعْلَمُ تَأْوِيلَهُ إِلاَّ اللّهُ وَالرَّاسِخُونَ فِي الْعِلْمِ يَقُولُونَ آمَنَّا بِهِ كُلٌّ مِّنْ عِندِ رَبِّنَا وَمَا يَذَّكَّرُ إِلاَّ أُوْلُواْ الْأَلْبَابِ | |||||
| Words | |هو - He| الذي - (is) the One Who| أنزل - revealed| عليك - to you| الكتاب - the Book,| منه - of it| آيات - (are) Verses| محكمات - absolutely clear -| هن - they (are)| أم - the foundation| الكتاب - (of) the Book,| وأخر - and others| متشابهات - (are) allegorical.| فأما - Then as for| الذين - those| في - in| قلوبهم - their hearts| زيغ - (is) perversity -| فيتبعون - [so] they follow| ما - what| تشابه - (is) allegorical| منه - of it,| ابتغاء - seeking| الفتنة - [the] discord| وابتغاء - and seeking| تأويله - its interpretation.| وما - And not| يعلم - knows| تأويله - its interpretation| إلا - except| الله - Allah.| والراسخون - And those firm| في - in| العلم - [the] knowledge,| يقولون - they say,| آمنا - "We believe| به - in it.| كل - All| من - (is)| عند - from| ربنا - our Lord."| وما - And not| يذكر - will take heed| إلا - except| أولو - men| الألباب - (of) understanding.| | ||||||
| 3 [3:56] | Faamma allatheena kafaroofaoAAaththibuhum AAathaban shadeedan fee alddunyawaal-akhirati wama lahum min nasireena | فأما الذين كفروا فأعذبهم عذابا شديدا في الدنيا والآخرة وما لهم من ناصرين فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ فَأُعَذِّبُهُمْ عَذَابًا شَدِيدًا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ وَمَا لَهُم مِّن نَّاصِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |فأما - Then as for| الذين - those who| كفروا - disbelieve[d],| فأعذبهم - then I will punish them| عذابا - (with) a punishment| شديدا - severe| في - in| الدنيا - the world| والآخرة - and (in) the Hereafter.| وما - And not| لهم - for them| من - any| ناصرين - helpers.| | ||||||
| 4 [3:106] | Yawma tabyaddu wujoohun wataswadduwujoohun faamma allatheena iswaddat wujoohuhumakafartum baAAda eemanikum fathooqoo alAAathababima kuntum takfuroona | يوم تبيض وجوه وتسود وجوه فأما الذين اسودت وجوههم أكفرتم بعد إيمانكم فذوقوا العذاب بما كنتم تكفرون يَوْمَ تَبْيَضُّ وُجُوهٌ وَتَسْوَدُّ وُجُوهٌ فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ اسْوَدَّتْ وُجُوهُهُمْ أَكْفَرْتُم بَعْدَ إِيمَانِكُمْ فَذُوقُواْ الْعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَكْفُرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |يوم - (On the) Day| تبيض - would become white| وجوه - (some) faces| وتسود - and would become black| وجوه - (some) faces.| فأما - As for| الذين - those whose| اسودت - turn black| وجوههم - [their] faces -| أكفرتم - "Did you disbelieve| بعد - after| إيمانكم - your belief?| فذوقوا - Then taste| العذاب - the punishment| بما - for what| كنتم - you used to| تكفرون - disbelieve."| | ||||||
| 5 [4:173] | Faamma allatheena amanoowaAAamiloo alssalihati fayuwaffeehimojoorahum wayazeeduhum min fadlihi waamma allatheenaistankafoo waistakbaroo fayuAAaththibuhum AAathabanaleeman wala yajidoona lahum min dooni Allahiwaliyyan wala naseeran | فأما الذين آمنوا وعملوا الصالحات فيوفيهم أجورهم ويزيدهم من فضله وأما الذين استنكفوا واستكبروا فيعذبهم عذابا أليما ولا يجدون لهم من دون الله وليا ولا نصيرا فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ الصَّالِحَاتِ فَيُوَفِّيهِمْ أُجُورَهُمْ وَيَزيدُهُم مِّن فَضْلِهِ وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ اسْتَنكَفُواْ وَاسْتَكْبَرُواْ فَيُعَذِّبُهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا وَلاَ يَجِدُونَ لَهُم مِّن دُونِ اللّهِ وَلِيًّا وَلاَ نَصِيرًا | |||||
| Words | |فأما - Then as for| الذين - those who| آمنوا - believed| وعملوا - and did| الصالحات - the righteous deeds| فيوفيهم - then He will give them in full| أجورهم - their reward| ويزيدهم - and give them more| من - from| فضله - His Bounty.| وأما - And as for| الذين - those who| استنكفوا - disdained| واستكبروا - and were arrogant| فيعذبهم - then He will punish them| عذابا - (with) a punishment| أليما - painful,| ولا - and not| يجدون - will they find| لهم - for themselves| من - from| دون - besides| الله - Allah| وليا - any protector| ولا - and not| نصيرا - any helper.| | ||||||
| 6 [4:175] | Faamma allatheena amanoobiAllahi waiAAtasamoo bihifasayudkhiluhum fee rahmatin minhu wafadlinwayahdeehim ilayhi siratan mustaqeeman | فأما الذين آمنوا بالله واعتصموا به فسيدخلهم في رحمة منه وفضل ويهديهم إليه صراطا مستقيما فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ بِاللّهِ وَاعْتَصَمُواْ بِهِ فَسَيُدْخِلُهُمْ فِي رَحْمَةٍ مِّنْهُ وَفَضْلٍ وَيَهْدِيهِمْ إِلَيْهِ صِرَاطًا مُّسْتَقِيمًا | |||||
| Words | |فأما - So as for| الذين - those who| آمنوا - believed| بالله - in Allah| واعتصموا - and held fast| به - to Him,| فسيدخلهم - then He will admit them| في - in| رحمة - Mercy| منه - from Himself| وفضل - and Bounty| ويهديهم - and will guide them| إليه - to Himself| صراطا - (on) a way,| مستقيما - straight.| | ||||||
| 7 [9:124] | Wa-itha ma onzilat sooratunfaminhum man yaqoolu ayyukum zadat-hu hathihi eemananfaamma allatheena amanoo fazadat-humeemanan wahum yastabshiroona | وإذا ما أنزلت سورة فمنهم من يقول أيكم زادته هذه إيمانا فأما الذين آمنوا فزادتهم إيمانا وهم يستبشرون وَإِذَا مَا أُنزِلَتْ سُورَةٌ فَمِنْهُم مَّن يَقُولُ أَيُّكُمْ زَادَتْهُ هَـذِهِ إِيمَانًا فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ فَزَادَتْهُمْ إِيمَانًا وَهُمْ يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And whenever| ما - And whenever| أنزلت - is revealed| سورة - a Surah,| فمنهم - among them| من - (are some) who| يقول - say,| أيكم - "Which of you| زادته - (has) increased [it]| هذه - (by) this| إيمانا - (in) faith?"| فأما - As for| الذين - those who| آمنوا - believe| فزادتهم - then it has increased them| إيمانا - (in) faith| وهم - and they| يستبشرون - rejoice.| | ||||||
| 8 [11:106] | Faamma allatheena shaqoofafee alnnari lahum feeha zafeerun washaheequn | فأما الذين شقوا ففي النار لهم فيها زفير وشهيق فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ شَقُواْ فَفِي النَّارِ لَهُمْ فِيهَا زَفِـيْـرٌ وَشَهِيقٌ | |||||
| Words | |فأما - As for| الذين - those who| شقوا - were wretched| ففي - then (they will be) in| النار - the Fire.| لهم - For them| فيها - therein| زفير - (is) sighing,| وشهيق - and wailing.| | ||||||
| 9 [13:17] | Anzala mina alssama-i maanfasalat awdiyatun biqadariha faihtamalaalssaylu zabadan rabiyan wamimma yooqidoonaAAalayhi fee alnnari ibtighaa hilyatinaw mataAAin zabadun mithluhu kathalika yadribuAllahu alhaqqa waalbatila faammaalzzabadu fayathhabu jufaan waamma mayanfaAAu alnnasa fayamkuthu fee al-ardi kathalikayadribu Allahu al-amthala | أنزل من السماء ماء فسالت أودية بقدرها فاحتمل السيل زبدا رابيا ومما يوقدون عليه في النار ابتغاء حلية أو متاع زبد مثله كذلك يضرب الله الحق والباطل فأما الزبد فيذهب جفاء وأما ما ينفع الناس فيمكث في الأرض كذلك يضرب الله الأمثال أَنزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَسَالَتْ أَوْدِيَةٌ بِقَدَرِهَا فَاحْتَمَلَ السَّيْلُ زَبَدًا رَّابِيًا وَمِمَّا يُوقِدُونَ عَلَيْهِ فِي النَّارِ ابْتِغَاءِ حِلْيَةٍ أَوْ مَتَاعٍ زَبَدٌ مِّثْلُهُ كَذَلِكَ يَضْرِبُ اللّهُ الْحَقَّ وَالْبَاطِلَ فَأَمَّا الزَّبَدُ فَيَذْهَبُ جُفَاءً وَأَمَّا مَا يَنفَعُ النَّاسَ فَيَمْكُثُ فِي الْأَرْضِ كَذَلِكَ يَضْرِبُ اللّهُ الْأَمْثَالَ | |||||
| Words | |أنزل - He sends down| من - from| السماء - the sky| ماء - water| فسالت - and flows| أودية - the valleys| بقدرها - according to their measure,| فاحتمل - and carries| السيل - the torrent| زبدا - a foam| رابيا - rising.| ومما - And from what| يوقدون - they heat| عليه - [on] it| في - in| النار - the fire| ابتغاء - in order to make| حلية - ornaments| أو - or| متاع - utensils,| زبد - a foam| مثله - like it.| كذلك - Thus| يضرب - sets forth| الله - Allah| الحق - the truth| والباطل - and the falsehood.| فأما - Then as for| الزبد - the foam| فيذهب - it passes away| جفاء - (as) scum,| وأما - and as for| ما - what| ينفع - benefits| الناس - the mankind,| فيمكث - remains| في - in| الأرض - the earth.| كذلك - Thus| يضرب - Allah sets forth| الله - Allah sets forth| الأمثال - the examples.| | ||||||
| 10 [28:67] | Faamma man taba waamanawaAAamila salihan faAAasa an yakoona minaalmufliheena | فأما من تاب وآمن وعمل صالحا فعسى أن يكون من المفلحين فَأَمَّا مَن تَابَ وَآمَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَعَسَى أَن يَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُفْلِحِينَ | |||||
| Words | |فأما - But as for| من - (him) who| تاب - repented| وآمن - and believed,| وعمل - and did| صالحا - righteousness,| فعسى - then perhaps| أن - [that]| يكون - he will be| من - of| المفلحين - the successful ones.| | ||||||
| 11 [30:15] | Faamma allatheena amanoowaAAamiloo alssalihati fahum fee rawdatinyuhbaroona | فأما الذين آمنوا وعملوا الصالحات فهم في روضة يحبرون فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ فَهُمْ فِي رَوْضَةٍ يُحْبَرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |فأما - Then as for| الذين - those who| آمنوا - believed| وعملوا - and did| الصالحات - righteous deeds,| فهم - so they| في - in| روضة - a Garden| يحبرون - will be delighted.| | ||||||
| 12 [41:15] | Faamma AAadun faistakbaroofee al-ardi bighayri alhaqqi waqaloo manashaddu minna quwwatan awa lam yaraw anna Allahaallathee khalaqahum huwa ashaddu minhum quwwatan wakanoobi-ayatina yajhadoona | فأما عاد فاستكبروا في الأرض بغير الحق وقالوا من أشد منا قوة أولم يروا أن الله الذي خلقهم هو أشد منهم قوة وكانوا بآياتنا يجحدون فَأَمَّا عَادٌ فَاسْتَكْبَرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ وَقَالُوا مَنْ أَشَدُّ مِنَّا قُوَّةً أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا أَنَّ اللَّهَ الَّذِي خَلَقَهُمْ هُوَ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً وَكَانُوا بِآيَاتِنَا يَجْحَدُونَ | |||||
| Words | |فأما - Then as for| عاد - Aad,| فاستكبروا - they were arrogant| في - in| الأرض - the land| بغير - without| الحق - [the] right| وقالوا - and they said,| من - "Who| أشد - (is) mightier| منا - than us| قوة - (in) strength?"| أولم - Do not| يروا - they see| أن - that| الله - Allah,| الذي - the One Who| خلقهم - created them,| هو - He| أشد - (is) Mightier| منهم - than them| قوة - (in) strength?| وكانوا - But they used to,| بآياتنا - in Our Signs,| يجحدون - deny.| | ||||||
| 13 [45:30] | Faamma allatheena amanoowaAAamiloo alssalihati fayudkhiluhumrabbuhum fee rahmatihi thalika huwa alfawzualmubeenu | فأما الذين آمنوا وعملوا الصالحات فيدخلهم ربهم في رحمته ذلك هو الفوز المبين فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ فَيُدْخِلُهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ فِي رَحْمَتِهِ ذَلِكَ هُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْمُبِينُ | |||||
| Words | |فأما - Then as for| الذين - those who| آمنوا - believed| وعملوا - and did| الصالحات - [the] righteous deeds,| فيدخلهم - will admit them| ربهم - their Lord| في - in(to)| رحمته - His mercy.| ذلك - That| هو - [it]| الفوز - (is) the success| المبين - clear.| | ||||||
| 14 [56:88] | Faamma in kana minaalmuqarrabeena | فأما إن كان من المقربين فَأَمَّا إِن كَانَ مِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ | |||||

| 15 [69:5] | Faamma thamoodu faohlikoo bialttaghiyati | فأما ثمود فأهلكوا بالطاغية فَأَمَّا ثَمُودُ فَأُهْلِكُوا بِالطَّاغِيَةِ | |||||
| Words | |فأما - So as for| ثمود - Thamud,| فأهلكوا - they were destroyed| بالطاغية - by the overpowering (blast).| | ||||||
| 16 [69:19] | Faamma man ootiya kitabahubiyameenihi fayaqoolu haomu iqraoo kitabiyah | فأما من أوتي كتابه بيمينه فيقول هاؤم اقرءوا كتابيه فَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِيَ كِتَابَهُ بِيَمِينِهِ فَيَقُولُ هَاؤُمُ اقْرَؤُوا كِتَابِيَهْ | |||||
| Words | |فأما - Then as for| من - (him) who| أوتي - is given| كتابه - his record| بيمينه - in his right hand| فيقول - will say,| هاؤم - "Here,| اقرءوا - read| كتابيه - my record!| | ||||||
| 17 [79:37] | Faamma man tagha | فأما من طغى فَأَمَّا مَن طَغَى | |||||

| 19 [89:15] | Faamma al-insanu itha maibtalahu rabbuhu faakramahu wanaAAAAamahu fayaqoolu rabbeeakramani | فأما الإنسان إذا ما ابتلاه ربه فأكرمه ونعمه فيقول ربي أكرمن فَأَمَّا الْإِنسَانُ إِذَا مَا ابْتَلَاهُ رَبُّهُ فَأَكْرَمَهُ وَنَعَّمَهُ فَيَقُولُ رَبِّي أَكْرَمَنِ | |||||
| Words | |فأما - And as for| الإنسان - man,| إذا - when| ما - does| ابتلاه - try him| ربه - his Lord| فأكرمه - and is generous to him| ونعمه - and favors him,| فيقول - he says,| ربي - "My Lord| أكرمن - has honored me."| | ||||||
| 20 [92:5] | Faamma man aAAta waittaqa | فأما من أعطى واتقى فَأَمَّا مَن أَعْطَى وَاتَّقَى | |||||
