| 1 [3:159] | Fabima rahmatin mina Allahilinta lahum walaw kunta faththan ghaleethaalqalbi lainfaddoo min hawlika faoAAfuAAanhum waistaghfir lahum washawirhum fee al-amrifa-itha AAazamta fatawakkal AAala Allahiinna Allaha yuhibbu almutawakkileena |  فبما رحمة من الله لنت لهم ولو كنت فظا غليظ القلب لانفضوا من حولك فاعف عنهم واستغفر لهم وشاورهم في الأمر فإذا عزمت فتوكل على الله إن الله يحب المتوكلينفَبِمَا رَحْمَةٍ مِّنَ اللّهِ لِنْتَ لَهُمْ وَلَوْ كُنتَ فَظًّا غَلِيظَ الْقَلْبِ لاَنفَضُّواْ مِنْ حَوْلِكَ فَاعْفُ عَنْهُمْ وَاسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ وَشَاوِرْهُمْ فِي الْأَمْرِ فَإِذَا عَزَمْتَ فَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللّهِ إِنَّ اللّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُتَوَكِّلِينَ | |||||
| Words | |فبما - So because| رحمة - (of) Mercy| من - from| الله - Allah| لنت - you dealt gently| لهم - with them.| ولو - And if| كنت - you had been| فظا - rude| غليظ - (and) harsh| القلب - (at) [the] heart,| لانفضوا - surely they (would have) dispersed| من - from| حولك - around you.| فاعف - Then pardon| عنهم - [from] them| واستغفر - and ask forgiveness| لهم - for them| وشاورهم - and consult them| في - in| الأمر - the matter.| فإذا - Then when| عزمت - you have decided,| فتوكل - then put trust| على - on| الله - Allah.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| يحب - loves| المتوكلين - the ones who put trust (in Him).| | ||||||
| 2 [11:58] | Walamma jaa amrunanajjayna hoodan waallatheena amanoomaAAahu birahmatin minna wanajjaynahum minAAathabin ghaleethin | ولما جاء أمرنا نجينا هودا والذين آمنوا معه برحمة منا ونجيناهم من عذاب غليظ وَلَمَّا جَاءَ أَمْرُنَا نَجَّيْنَا هُودًا وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ مَعَهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ مِّنَّا وَنَجَّيْنَاهُم مِّنْ عَذَابٍ غَلِيظٍ | |||||
| Words | |ولما - And when| جاء - came| أمرنا - Our command,| نجينا - We saved| هودا - Hud| والذين - and those who| آمنوا - believed| معه - with him,| برحمة - by a Mercy| منا - from Us| ونجيناهم - and We saved them| من - from| عذاب - a punishment| غليظ - severe.| | ||||||
| 3 [14:17] | YatajarraAAuhu wala yakaduyuseeghuhu waya/teehi almawtu min kulli makanin wamahuwa bimayyitin wamin wara-ihi AAathabun ghaleethun | يتجرعه ولا يكاد يسيغه ويأتيه الموت من كل مكان وما هو بميت ومن ورائه عذاب غليظ يَتَجَرَّعُهُ وَلاَ يَكَادُ يُسِيغُهُ وَيَأْتِيهِ الْمَوْتُ مِن كُلِّ مَكَانٍ وَمَا هُوَ بِمَيِّتٍ وَمِن وَرَآئِهِ عَذَابٌ غَلِيظٌ | |||||
| Words | |يتجرعه - He will sip it| ولا - but not| يكاد - he will be near| يسيغه - (to) swallowing it.| ويأتيه - And will come to him| الموت - the death| من - from| كل - every| مكان - side,| وما - but not| هو - he| بميت - will die.| ومن - And ahead of him| ورائه - And ahead of him| عذاب - (is) a punishment| غليظ - harsh.| | ||||||
| 4 [31:24] | NumattiAAuhum qaleelan thumma nadtarruhumila AAathabin ghaleethin | نمتعهم قليلا ثم نضطرهم إلى عذاب غليظ نُمَتِّعُهُمْ قَلِيلًا ثُمَّ نَضْطَرُّهُمْ إِلَى عَذَابٍ غَلِيظٍ | |||||
| Words | |نمتعهم - We grant them enjoyment| قليلا - (for) a little,| ثم - then| نضطرهم - We will force them| إلى - to| عذاب - a punishment| غليظ - severe.| | ||||||
| 5 [41:50] | Wala-in athaqnahu rahmatanminna min baAAdi darraa massat-hulayaqoolanna hatha lee wama athunnu alssaAAataqa-imatan wala-in rujiAAtu ila rabbee inna leeAAindahu lalhusna falanunabbi-anna allatheenakafaroo bima AAamiloo walanutheeqannahum min AAathabinghaleethin | ولئن أذقناه رحمة منا من بعد ضراء مسته ليقولن هذا لي وما أظن الساعة قائمة ولئن رجعت إلى ربي إن لي عنده للحسنى فلننبئن الذين كفروا بما عملوا ولنذيقنهم من عذاب غليظ وَلَئِنْ أَذَقْنَاهُ رَحْمَةً مِّنَّا مِن بَعْدِ ضَرَّاءَ مَسَّتْهُ لَيَقُولَنَّ هَذَا لِي وَمَا أَظُنُّ السَّاعَةَ قَائِمَةً وَلَئِن رُّجِعْتُ إِلَى رَبِّي إِنَّ لِي عِندَهُ لَلْحُسْنَى فَلَنُنَبِّئَنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِمَا عَمِلُوا وَلَنُذِيقَنَّهُم مِّنْ عَذَابٍ غَلِيظٍ | |||||
| Words | |ولئن - And verily, if| أذقناه - We let him taste| رحمة - mercy| منا - from Us| من - after| بعد - after| ضراء - an adversity| مسته - (has) touched him,| ليقولن - he will surely say,| هذا - "This (is)| لي - (due) to me| وما - and not| أظن - I think| الساعة - the Hour| قائمة - (will be) established,| ولئن - and if| رجعت - I am returned| إلى - to| ربي - my Lord,| إن - indeed,| لي - for me| عنده - with Him| للحسنى - (will be) the best."| فلننبئن - But We will surely inform| الذين - those who| كفروا - disbelieved| بما - about what| عملوا - they did,| ولنذيقنهم - and We will surely make them taste| من - of| عذاب - a punishment| غليظ - severe.| | ||||||
