| 1 [2:70] | Qaloo odAAu lana rabbakayubayyin lana ma hiya inna albaqara tashabahaAAalayna wa-inna in shaa Allahulamuhtadoona |  قالوا ادع لنا ربك يبين لنا ما هي إن البقر تشابه علينا وإنا إن شاء الله لمهتدونقَالُواْ ادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُبَيِّن لَّنَا مَا هِيَ إِنَّ البَقَرَ تَشَابَهَ عَلَيْنَا وَإِنَّآ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَمُهْتَدُونَ | |||||
| Words | |قالوا - They said,| ادع - "Pray| لنا - for us| ربك - (to) your Lord| يبين - to make clear| لنا - to us| ما - what| هي - it (is).| إن - Indeed,| البقر - [the] cows| تشابه - look alike| علينا - to us.| وإنا - And indeed we,| إن - if| شاء - wills| الله - Allah,| لمهتدون - (will) surely be those who are guided."| | ||||||
| 2 [2:91] | Wa-itha qeela lahum aminoo bimaanzala Allahu qaloo nu/minu bima onzilaAAalayna wayakfuroona bima waraahu wahuwa alhaqqumusaddiqan lima maAAahum qul falima taqtuloonaanbiyaa Allahi min qablu in kuntum mu/mineena | وإذا قيل لهم آمنوا بما أنزل الله قالوا نؤمن بما أنزل علينا ويكفرون بما وراءه وهو الحق مصدقا لما معهم قل فلم تقتلون أنبياء الله من قبل إن كنتم مؤمنين وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ آمِنُواْ بِمَا أَنزَلَ اللّهُ قَالُواْ نُؤْمِنُ بِمَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْنَا وَيَكْفُرُوْنَ بِمَا وَرَاءَهُ وَهُوَ الْحَقُّ مُصَدِّقاً لِّمَا مَعَهُمْ قُلْ فَلِمَ تَقْتُلُونَ أَنْبِيَاءَ اللّهِ مِنْ قَبْلُ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُّؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| قيل - it is said| لهم - to them,| آمنوا - "Believe| بما - in what| أنزل - has revealed| الله - Allah,"| قالوا - they say,| نؤمن - "We believe| بما - in what| أنزل - was revealed| علينا - to us."| ويكفرون - And they disbelieve| بما - in what| وراءه - (is) besides it,| وهو - while it| الحق - (is) the truth| مصدقا - confirming| لما - what| معهم - (is) with them.| قل - Say,| فلم - "Then why| تقتلون - (did) you kill| أنبياء - (the) Prophets| الله - (of) Allah| من - from| قبل - before,| إن - if| كنتم - you were| مؤمنين - believers?"| | ||||||
| 3 [2:128] | Rabbana waijAAalnamuslimayni laka wamin thurriyyatina ommatanmuslimatan laka waarina manasikana watubAAalayna innaka anta alttawwabu alrraheemu | ربنا واجعلنا مسلمين لك ومن ذريتنا أمة مسلمة لك وأرنا مناسكنا وتب علينا إنك أنت التواب الرحيم رَبَّنَا وَاجْعَلْنَا مُسْلِمَيْنِ لَكَ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِنَا أُمَّةً مُّسْلِمَةً لَّكَ وَأَرِنَا مَنَاسِكَنَا وَتُبْ عَلَيْنَآ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ | |||||
| Words | |ربنا - Our Lord!| واجعلنا - [and] Make us| مسلمين - both submissive| لك - to You.| ومن - And from| ذريتنا - our offspring| أمة - a community| مسلمة - submissive| لك - to You.| وأرنا - And show us| مناسكنا - our ways of worship| وتب - and turn| علينا - to us.| إنك - Indeed You!| أنت - [You] (are)| التواب - the Oft-returning,| الرحيم - the Most Merciful.| | ||||||
| 4 [2:247] | Waqala lahum nabiyyuhum inna Allahaqad baAAatha lakum taloota malikan qaloo annayakoonu lahu almulku AAalayna wanahnu ahaqqubialmulki minhu walam yu/ta saAAatan mina almali qalainna Allaha istafahu AAalaykum wazadahubastatan fee alAAilmi waaljismi waAllahuyu/tee mulkahu man yashao waAllahu wasiAAunAAaleemun | وقال لهم نبيهم إن الله قد بعث لكم طالوت ملكا قالوا أنى يكون له الملك علينا ونحن أحق بالملك منه ولم يؤت سعة من المال قال إن الله اصطفاه عليكم وزاده بسطة في العلم والجسم والله يؤتي ملكه من يشاء والله واسع عليم وَقَالَ لَهُمْ نَبِيُّهُمْ إِنَّ اللّهَ قَدْ بَعَثَ لَكُمْ طَالُوتَ مَلِكًا قَالُواْ أَنَّى يَكُونُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ عَلَيْنَا وَنَحْنُ أَحَقُّ بِالْمُلْكِ مِنْهُ وَلَمْ يُؤْتَ سَعَةً مِّنَ الْمَالِ قَالَ إِنَّ اللّهَ اصْطَفَاهُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَزَادَهُ بَسْطَةً فِي الْعِلْمِ وَالْجِسْمِ وَاللّهُ يُؤْتِي مُلْكَهُ مَن يَشَاءُ وَاللّهُ وَاسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |وقال - And said| لهم - to them| نبيهم - their Prophet,| إن - "Indeed,| الله - Allah| قد - (has) surely| بعث - raised| لكم - for you| طالوت - Talut| ملكا - (as) a king."| قالوا - They said,| أنى - How| يكون - can be| له - for him| الملك - the kingship| علينا - over us,| ونحن - while we| أحق - (are) more entitled| بالملك - to kingship| منه - than him,| ولم - and not| يؤت - he has been given| سعة - abundance| من - of| المال - [the] wealth?"| قال - He said,| إن - "Indeed,| الله - Allah| اصطفاه - has chosen him| عليكم - over you| وزاده - and increased him| بسطة - abundantly| في - in| العلم - [the] knowledge| والجسم - and [the] physique.| والله - And Allah| يؤتي - gives| ملكه - His kingdom| من - (to) whom| يشاء - He wills.| والله - And Allah| واسع - (is) All-Encompassing,| عليم - All-Knowing."| | ||||||
| 5 [2:250] | Walamma barazoo lijalootawajunoodihi qaloo rabbana afrigh AAalayna sabranwathabbit aqdamana waonsurnaAAala alqawmi alkafireena | ولما برزوا لجالوت وجنوده قالوا ربنا أفرغ علينا صبرا وثبت أقدامنا وانصرنا على القوم الكافرين وَلَمَّا بَرَزُواْ لِجَالُوتَ وَجُنُودِهِ قَالُواْ رَبَّنَا أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا وَثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَنَا وَانصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ولما - And when| برزوا - they went forth| لجالوت - to (face) Jalut| وجنوده - and his troops| قالوا - they said,| ربنا - "Our Lord!| أفرغ - Pour| علينا - on us| صبرا - patience| وثبت - and make firm| أقدامنا - our feet,| وانصرنا - and help us| على - against| القوم - the people| الكافرين - (who are) disbelieving."| | ||||||
| 6 [2:286] | La yukallifu Allahu nafsanilla wusAAaha laha ma kasabatwaAAalayha ma iktasabat rabbana latu-akhithna in naseena aw akhta/narabbana wala tahmil AAalayna isrankama hamaltahu AAala allatheena minqablina rabbana wala tuhammilnama la taqata lana bihi waoAAfuAAanna waighfir lana wairhamnaanta mawlana faonsurna AAalaalqawmi alkafireena | لا يكلف الله نفسا إلا وسعها لها ما كسبت وعليها ما اكتسبت ربنا لا تؤاخذنا إن نسينا أو أخطأنا ربنا ولا تحمل علينا إصرا كما حملته على الذين من قبلنا ربنا ولا تحملنا ما لا طاقة لنا به واعف عنا واغفر لنا وارحمنا أنت مولانا فانصرنا على القوم الكافرين لاَ يُكَلِّفُ اللّهُ نَفْسًا إِلاَّ وُسْعَهَا لَهَا مَا كَسَبَتْ وَعَلَيْهَا مَا اكْتَسَبَتْ رَبَّنَا لاَ تُؤَاخِذْنَا إِن نَّسِينَا أَوْ أَخْطَأْنَا رَبَّنَا وَلاَ تَحْمِلْ عَلَيْنَا إِصْرًا كَمَا حَمَلْتَهُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِنَا رَبَّنَا وَلاَ تُحَمِّلْنَا مَا لاَ طَاقَةَ لَنَا بِهِ وَاعْفُ عَنَّا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَآ أَنتَ مَوْلاَنَا فَانصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |لا - (Does) not| يكلف - burden| الله - Allah| نفسا - any soul| إلا - except| وسعها - its capacity,| لها - for it| ما - what| كسبت - it earned,| وعليها - and against it| ما - what| اكتسبت - it earned.| ربنا - "Our Lord!| لا - (Do) not| تؤاخذنا - take us to task| إن - if| نسينا - we forget| أو - or| أخطأنا - we err.| ربنا - Our Lord!| ولا - And (do) not| تحمل - lay| علينا - upon us| إصرا - a burden| كما - like that| حملته - (which) You laid [it]| على - on| الذين - those who| من - (were) from| قبلنا - before us.| ربنا - Our Lord!| ولا - [And] (do) not| تحملنا - lay on us| ما - what| لا - not| طاقة - (the) strength| لنا - we have| به - [of it] (to bear).| واعف - And pardon| عنا - [from] us,| واغفر - and forgive| لنا - [for] us| وارحمنا - and have mercy on us.| أنت - You (are)| مولانا - our Protector,| فانصرنا - so help us| على - against| القوم - the people -| الكافرين - [the] disbelievers.| | ||||||
| 7 [3:75] | Wamin ahli alkitabi man in ta/manhubiqintarin yu-addihi ilayka waminhum man in ta/manhubideenarin la yu-addihi ilayka illa madumta AAalayhi qa-iman thalika bi-annahum qaloolaysa AAalayna fee al-ommiyyeena sabeelun wayaqooloonaAAala Allahi alkathiba wahum yaAAlamoona | ومن أهل الكتاب من إن تأمنه بقنطار يؤده إليك ومنهم من إن تأمنه بدينار لا يؤده إليك إلا ما دمت عليه قائما ذلك بأنهم قالوا ليس علينا في الأميين سبيل ويقولون على الله الكذب وهم يعلمون وَمِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ مَنْ إِن تَأْمَنْهُ بِقِنطَارٍ يُؤَدِّهِ إِلَيْكَ وَمِنْهُم مَّنْ إِن تَأْمَنْهُ بِدِينَارٍ لاَّ يُؤَدِّهِ إِلَيْكَ إِلاَّ مَا دُمْتَ عَلَيْهِ قَآئِمًا ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَالُواْ لَيْسَ عَلَيْنَا فِي الأُمِّيِّينَ سَبِيلٌ وَيَقُولُونَ عَلَى اللّهِ الْكَذِبَ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ومن - And from| أهل - (the) People| الكتاب - (of) the Book| من - (is he) who,| إن - if| تأمنه - you entrust him| بقنطار - with a great amount of wealth| يؤده - he will return it| إليك - to you.| ومنهم - And from them| من - (is he) who,| إن - if| تأمنه - you entrust him| بدينار - with a single coin| لا - not| يؤده - he will return it| إليك - to you| إلا - except| ما - that| دمت - you keep constantly| عليه - over him| قائما - standing.| ذلك - That| بأنهم - (is) because they| قالوا - said,| ليس - "Not| علينا - on us| في - concerning| الأميين - the unlettered people| سبيل - any [way] (accountability)."| ويقولون - And they say| على - about| الله - Allah| الكذب - the lie| وهم - while they| يعلمون - know.| | ||||||
| 8 [3:84] | Qul amanna biAllahiwama onzila AAalayna wama onzila AAalaibraheema wa-ismaAAeela wa-ishaqawayaAAqooba waal-asbati wama ootiya moosawaAAeesa waalnnabiyyoona min rabbihim lanufarriqu bayna ahadin minhum wanahnu lahumuslimoona | قل آمنا بالله وما أنزل علينا وما أنزل على إبراهيم وإسماعيل وإسحاق ويعقوب والأسباط وما أوتي موسى وعيسى والنبيون من ربهم لا نفرق بين أحد منهم ونحن له مسلمون قُلْ آمَنَّا بِاللّهِ وَمَا أُنزِلَ عَلَيْنَا وَمَا أُنزِلَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ وَإِسْحَقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ وَالأَسْبَاطِ وَمَا أُوتِيَ مُوسَى وَعِيسَى وَالنَّبِيُّونَ مِن رَّبِّهِمْ لاَ نُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَ أَحَدٍ مِّنْهُمْ وَنَحْنُ لَهُ مُسْلِمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |قل - Say,| آمنا - "We believed| بالله - in Allah| وما - and what| أنزل - (is) revealed| علينا - on us| وما - and what| أنزل - was revealed| على - on| إبراهيم - Ibrahim,| وإسماعيل - and Ishmael,| وإسحاق - and Isaac,| ويعقوب - and Yaqub,| والأسباط - and the descendents| وما - and what| أوتي - was given| موسى - (to) Musa,| وعيسى - and Isa,| والنبيون - and the Prophets| من - from| ربهم - their Lord.| لا - Not| نفرق - we make distinction| بين - between| أحد - any| منهم - of them| ونحن - and we| له - to Him| مسلمون - (are) submissive.| | ||||||
| 9 [4:77] | Alam tara ila allatheena qeelalahum kuffoo aydiyakum waaqeemoo alssalatawaatoo alzzakata falamma kutibaAAalayhimu alqitalu itha fareequn minhum yakhshawnaalnnasa kakhashyati Allahi aw ashaddakhashyatan waqaloo rabbana lima katabta AAalaynaalqitala lawla akhkhartana ila ajalinqareebin qul mataAAu alddunya qaleelun waal-akhiratukhayrun limani ittaqa wala tuthlamoonafateelan | ألم تر إلى الذين قيل لهم كفوا أيديكم وأقيموا الصلاة وآتوا الزكاة فلما كتب عليهم القتال إذا فريق منهم يخشون الناس كخشية الله أو أشد خشية وقالوا ربنا لم كتبت علينا القتال لولا أخرتنا إلى أجل قريب قل متاع الدنيا قليل والآخرة خير لمن اتقى ولا تظلمون فتيلا أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ قِيلَ لَهُمْ كُفُّواْ أَيْدِيَكُمْ وَأَقِيمُواْ الصَّلاَةَ وَآتُواْ الزَّكَاةَ فَلَمَّا كُتِبَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقِتَالُ إِذَا فَرِيقٌ مِّنْهُمْ يَخْشَوْنَ النَّاسَ كَخَشْيَةِ اللّهِ أَوْ أَشَدَّ خَشْيَةً وَقَالُواْ رَبَّنَا لِمَ كَتَبْتَ عَلَيْنَا الْقِتَالَ لَوْلاَ أَخَّرْتَنَا إِلَى أَجَلٍ قَرِيبٍ قُلْ مَتَاعُ الدُّنْيَا قَلِيلٌ وَالْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لِّمَنِ اتَّقَى وَلاَ تُظْلَمُونَ فَتِيلاً | |||||
| Words | |ألم - Have not| تر - you seen| إلى - [towards]| الذين - those who| قيل - (when) it was said| لهم - to them,| كفوا - "Restrain| أيديكم - your hands| وأقيموا - and establish| الصلاة - the prayer| وآتوا - and give| الزكاة - the zakah?"| فلما - Then when| كتب - was ordained| عليهم - on them| القتال - the fighting,| إذا - then| فريق - a group| منهم - of them| يخشون - [they] fear| الناس - the people| كخشية - as (they) fear| الله - Allah| أو - or| أشد - more intense| خشية - fear,| وقالوا - and they said,| ربنا - "Our Lord| لم - why| كتبت - have You ordained| علينا - upon us| القتال - [the] fighting?| لولا - Why not| أخرتنا - You postpone (it for) us| إلى - to| أجل - a term,| قريب - near."| قل - Say,| متاع - "Enjoyment| الدنيا - (of) the world| قليل - (is) little| والآخرة - and the Hereafter| خير - (is) better| لمن - for whoever| اتقى - fears (Allah)| ولا - and not| تظلمون - you will be wronged| فتيلا - (even as much as) a hair on a date-seed."| | ||||||
| 10 [5:112] | Ith qala alhawariyyoonaya AAeesa ibna maryama hal yastateeAAurabbuka an yunazzila AAalayna ma-idatan mina alssama-iqala ittaqoo Allaha in kuntum mu/mineena | إذ قال الحواريون يا عيسى ابن مريم هل يستطيع ربك أن ينزل علينا مائدة من السماء قال اتقوا الله إن كنتم مؤمنين إِذْ قَالَ الْحَوَارِيُّونَ يَا عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ هَلْ يَسْتَطِيعُ رَبُّكَ أَن يُنَزِّلَ عَلَيْنَا مَآئِدَةً مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ قَالَ اتَّقُواْ اللّهَ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |إذ - When| قال - said| الحواريون - the disciples,| يا - O| عيسى - "O Isa,| ابن - son| مريم - (of) Maryam!| هل - Is| يستطيع - able| ربك - your Lord| أن - to| ينزل - send down| علينا - to us| مائدة - a table spread| من - from| السماء - the heaven?"| قال - He said,| اتقوا - "Fear| الله - Allah,| إن - if| كنتم - you are| مؤمنين - believers."| | ||||||
| 11 [5:114] | Qala AAeesa ibnu maryama allahummarabbana anzil AAalayna ma-idatan mina alssama-itakoonu lana AAeedan li-awwalina waakhirinawaayatan minka waorzuqna waanta khayru alrraziqeena | قال عيسى ابن مريم اللهم ربنا أنزل علينا مائدة من السماء تكون لنا عيدا لأولنا وآخرنا وآية منك وارزقنا وأنت خير الرازقين قَالَ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا أَنزِلْ عَلَيْنَا مَآئِدَةً مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ تَكُونُ لَنَا عِيداً لِّأَوَّلِنَا وَآخِرِنَا وَآيَةً مِّنكَ وَارْزُقْنَا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الرَّازِقِينَ | |||||

| 12 [6:157] | Aw taqooloo law anna onzila AAalaynaalkitabu lakunna ahda minhum faqad jaakumbayyinatun min rabbikum wahudan warahmatun faman athlamumimman kaththaba bi-ayati Allahi wasadafaAAanha sanajzee allatheena yasdifoona AAan ayatinasoo-a alAAathabi bima kanoo yasdifoona | أو تقولوا لو أنا أنزل علينا الكتاب لكنا أهدى منهم فقد جاءكم بينة من ربكم وهدى ورحمة فمن أظلم ممن كذب بآيات الله وصدف عنها سنجزي الذين يصدفون عن آياتنا سوء العذاب بما كانوا يصدفون أَوْ تَقُولُواْ لَوْ أَنَّا أُنزِلَ عَلَيْنَا الْكِتَابُ لَكُنَّا أَهْدَى مِنْهُمْ فَقَدْ جَاءَكُم بَيِّنَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةٌ فَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّن كَذَّبَ بِآيَاتِ اللّهِ وَصَدَفَ عَنْهَا سَنَجْزِي الَّذِينَ يَصْدِفُونَ عَنْ آيَاتِنَا سُوءَ الْعَذَابِ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَصْدِفُونَ | |||||
| Words | |أو - Or| تقولوا - you say,| لو - "If| أنا - [that]| أنزل - was revealed| علينا - to us| الكتاب - the Book| لكنا - surely we (would) have been| أهدى - better guided| منهم - than them.| فقد - So verily| جاءكم - has come to you| بينة - clear proofs| من - from| ربكم - your Lord| وهدى - and a Guidance| ورحمة - and a Mercy.| فمن - Then who| أظلم - (is) more unjust| ممن - than (he) who| كذب - denies| بآيات - [with] (the) Verses| الله - (of) Allah,| وصدف - and turns away| عنها - from them?| سنجزي - We will recompense| الذين - those who| يصدفون - turn away| عن - from| آياتنا - Our Signs| سوء - (with) an evil| العذاب - punishment| بما - because| كانوا - they used to| يصدفون - turn away.| | ||||||
| 13 [7:39] | Waqalat oolahum li-okhrahumfama kana lakum AAalayna min fadlinfathooqoo alAAathaba bima kuntum taksiboona | وقالت أولاهم لأخراهم فما كان لكم علينا من فضل فذوقوا العذاب بما كنتم تكسبون وَقَالَتْ أُولاَهُمْ لِأُخْرَاهُمْ فَمَا كَانَ لَكُمْ عَلَيْنَا مِن فَضْلٍ فَذُوقُواْ الْعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَكْسِبُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وقالت - And (will) say| أولاهم - (the) first of them| لأخراهم - to (the) last of them,| فما - "Then not| كان - is| لكم - for you| علينا - upon us| من - any| فضل - superiority,| فذوقوا - so taste| العذاب - the punishment| بما - for what| كنتم - you used to| تكسبون - earn."| | ||||||
| 14 [7:50] | Wanada as-habu alnarias-haba aljannati an afeedoo AAalaynamina alma-i aw mimma razaqakumu Allahu qalooinna Allaha harramahuma AAala alkafireena | ونادى أصحاب النار أصحاب الجنة أن أفيضوا علينا من الماء أو مما رزقكم الله قالوا إن الله حرمهما على الكافرين وَنَادَى أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ أَصْحَابَ الْجَنَّةِ أَنْ أَفِيضُواْ عَلَيْنَا مِنَ الْمَاءِ أَوْ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ اللّهُ قَالُواْ إِنَّ اللّهَ حَرَّمَهُمَا عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ | |||||

| 15 [7:126] | Wama tanqimu minna illaan amanna bi-ayati rabbinalamma jaatna rabbana afrigh AAalaynasabran watawaffana muslimeena | وما تنقم منا إلا أن آمنا بآيات ربنا لما جاءتنا ربنا أفرغ علينا صبرا وتوفنا مسلمين وَمَا تَنقِمُ مِنَّا إِلاَّ أَنْ آمَنَّا بِآيَاتِ رَبِّنَا لَمَّا جَاءَتْنَا رَبَّنَا أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا وَتَوَفَّنَا مُسْلِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وما - And not| تنقم - you take revenge| منا - from us| إلا - except| أن - that| آمنا - we believed| بآيات - in (the) Signs| ربنا - (of) our Lord| لما - when| جاءتنا - they came to us.| ربنا - Our Lord!| أفرغ - Pour| علينا - upon us| صبرا - patience| وتوفنا - and cause us to die| مسلمين - (as) Muslims."| | ||||||
| 16 [8:32] | Wa-ith qaloo allahummain kana hatha huwa alhaqqa min AAindika faamtirAAalayna hijaratan mina alssama-iawi i/tina biAAathabin aleemin | وإذ قالوا اللهم إن كان هذا هو الحق من عندك فأمطر علينا حجارة من السماء أو ائتنا بعذاب أليم وَإِذْ قَالُواْ اللَّهُمَّ إِن كَانَ هَـذَا هُوَ الْحَقَّ مِنْ عِندِكَ فَأَمْطِرْ عَلَيْنَا حِجَارَةً مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ أَوِ ائْتِنَا بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| قالوا - they said,| اللهم - "O Allah!| إن - If| كان - was| هذا - this| هو - [it]| الحق - the truth| من - [of]| عندك - from You| فأمطر - then (send) rain| علينا - upon us| حجارة - (of) stones| من - from| السماء - the sky| أو - or| ائتنا - bring (upon) us| بعذاب - a punishment| أليم - painful."| | ||||||
| 17 [10:103] | Thumma nunajjee rusulana waallatheenaamanoo kathalika haqqan AAalaynanunjee almu/mineena | ثم ننجي رسلنا والذين آمنوا كذلك حقا علينا ننج المؤمنين ثُمَّ نُنَجِّي رُسُلَنَا وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ كَذَلِكَ حَقًّا عَلَيْنَا نُنجِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ثم - Then| ننجي - We will save| رسلنا - Our Messengers| والذين - and those who| آمنوا - believe.| كذلك - Thus,| حقا - (it is) an obligation| علينا - upon Us| ننج - (that) We save| المؤمنين - the believers.| | ||||||
| 18 [11:27] | Faqala almalao allatheenakafaroo min qawmihi ma naraka illa basharanmithlana wama naraka ittabaAAaka illaallatheena hum arathiluna badiya alrra/yiwama nara lakum AAalayna min fadlinbal nathunnukum kathibeena | فقال الملأ الذين كفروا من قومه ما نراك إلا بشرا مثلنا وما نراك اتبعك إلا الذين هم أراذلنا بادي الرأي وما نرى لكم علينا من فضل بل نظنكم كاذبين فَقَالَ الْمَلَأُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِن قِوْمِهِ مَا نَرَاكَ إِلاَّ بَشَرًا مِّثْلَنَا وَمَا نَرَاكَ اتَّبَعَكَ إِلاَّ الَّذِينَ هُمْ أَرَاذِلُنَا بَادِيَ الرَّأْيِ وَمَا نَرَى لَكُمْ عَلَيْنَا مِن فَضْلٍ بَلْ نَظُنُّكُمْ كَاذِبِينَ | |||||
| Words | |فقال - So said| الملأ - the chiefs| الذين - (of) those who| كفروا - disbelieved| من - from| قومه - his people,| ما - "Not| نراك - we see you| إلا - but| بشرا - a man| مثلنا - like us,| وما - and not| نراك - we see you| اتبعك - followed [you]| إلا - except| الذين - those who| هم - [they]| أراذلنا - (are) the lowest of us| بادي - immature in opinion.| الرأي - immature in opinion.| وما - And not| نرى - we see| لكم - in you| علينا - over us| من - any| فضل - merit;| بل - nay,| نظنكم - we think you| كاذبين - (are) liars."| | ||||||
| 19 [11:91] | Qaloo ya shuAAaybu manafqahu katheeran mimma taqoolu wa-inna lanarakafeena daAAeefan walawla rahtukalarajamnaka wama anta AAalayna biAAazeezin | قالوا يا شعيب ما نفقه كثيرا مما تقول وإنا لنراك فينا ضعيفا ولولا رهطك لرجمناك وما أنت علينا بعزيز قَالُواْ يَا شُعَيْبُ مَا نَفْقَهُ كَثِيرًا مِّمَّا تَقُولُ وَإِنَّا لَنَرَاكَ فِينَا ضَعِيفًا وَلَوْلاَ رَهْطُكَ لَرَجَمْنَاكَ وَمَا أَنتَ عَلَيْنَا بِعَزِيزٍ | |||||
| Words | |قالوا - They said,| يا - O| شعيب - "O Shuaib!| ما - Not| نفقه - we understand| كثيرا - much| مما - of what| تقول - you say,| وإنا - and indeed, we| لنراك - surely [we] see you| فينا - among us| ضعيفا - weak.| ولولا - And if not| رهطك - for your family| لرجمناك - surely we would have stoned you,| وما - and you are not| أنت - and you are not| علينا - against us| بعزيز - mighty."| | ||||||
| 20 [12:38] | WaittabaAAtu millata aba-eeibraheema wa-ishaqa wayaAAqooba ma kanalana an nushrika biAllahi min shay-in thalikamin fadli Allahi AAalayna waAAala alnnasiwalakinna akthara alnnasi layashkuroona | واتبعت ملة آبائي إبراهيم وإسحاق ويعقوب ما كان لنا أن نشرك بالله من شيء ذلك من فضل الله علينا وعلى الناس ولكن أكثر الناس لا يشكرون وَاتَّبَعْتُ مِلَّةَ آبَآئِـي إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْحَقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ مَا كَانَ لَنَا أَن نُّشْرِكَ بِاللّهِ مِن شَيْءٍ ذَلِكَ مِن فَضْلِ اللّهِ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى النَّاسِ وَلَـكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لاَ يَشْكُرُونَ | |||||
