| 1 [2:23] | Wa-in kuntum fee raybin mimma nazzalnaAAala AAabdina fa/too bisooratin min mithlihi waodAAooshuhadaakum min dooni Allahi in kuntum sadiqeena |  وإن كنتم في ريب مما نزلنا على عبدنا فأتوا بسورة من مثله وادعوا شهداءكم من دون الله إن كنتم صادقينوَإِنْ كُنتُمْ فِي رَيْبٍ مِّمَّا نَزَّلْنَا عَلَى عَبْدِنَا فَأْتُواْ بِسُورَةٍ مِّن مِّثْلِهِ وَادْعُواْ شُهَدَاءَكُم مِّن دُونِ اللّهِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وإن - And if| كنتم - you are| في - in| ريب - doubt| مما - about what| نزلنا - We have revealed| على - to| عبدنا - Our slave,| فأتوا - then produce| بسورة - a chapter| من - [of]| مثله - like it| وادعوا - and call| شهداءكم - your witnesses| من - from| دون - other than| الله - Allah| إن - if| كنتم - you are| صادقين - truthful.| | ||||||
| 2 [8:41] | WaiAAlamoo annama ghanimtummin shay-in faanna lillahi khumusahu walilrrasooliwalithee alqurba waalyatama waalmasakeeniwaibni alssabeeli in kuntum amantum biAllahiwama anzalna AAala AAabdina yawmaalfurqani yawma iltaqa aljamAAani waAllahuAAala kulli shay-in qadeerun | واعلموا أنما غنمتم من شيء فأن لله خمسه وللرسول ولذي القربى واليتامى والمساكين وابن السبيل إن كنتم آمنتم بالله وما أنزلنا على عبدنا يوم الفرقان يوم التقى الجمعان والله على كل شيء قدير وَاعْلَمُواْ أَنَّمَا غَنِمْتُم مِّن شَيْءٍ فَأَنَّ لِلّهِ خُمُسَهُ وَلِلرَّسُولِ وَلِذِي الْقُرْبَى وَالْيَتَامَى وَالْمَسَاكِينِ وَابْنِ السَّبِيلِ إِن كُنتُمْ آمَنتُمْ بِاللّهِ وَمَا أَنزَلْنَا عَلَى عَبْدِنَا يَوْمَ الْفُرْقَانِ يَوْمَ الْتَقَى الْجَمْعَانِ وَاللّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ | |||||
| Words | |واعلموا - And know| أنما - that what| غنمتم - you obtain (as) spoils of war| من - of| شيء - anything,| فأن - then that,| لله - for Allah| خمسه - (is) one fifth of it| وللرسول - and for the Messenger| ولذي - and for the| القربى - near relatives,| واليتامى - and the orphans| والمساكين - and the needy| وابن - and the| السبيل - wayfarer,| إن - if| كنتم - you| آمنتم - believe| بالله - in Allah,| وما - and (in) what| أنزلنا - We sent down| على - to| عبدنا - Our slave| يوم - (on the) day| الفرقان - (of) the criterion,| يوم - (the) day| التقى - (when) met| الجمعان - the two forces.| والله - And Allah| على - (is) on| كل - every| شيء - thing| قدير - All-Powerful.| | ||||||
| 3 [16:35] | Waqala allatheena ashrakoo lawshaa Allahu ma AAabadna min doonihimin shay-in nahnu wala abaonawala harramna min doonihi min shay-in kathalikafaAAala allatheena min qablihim fahal AAala alrrusuliilla albalaghu almubeenu | وقال الذين أشركوا لو شاء الله ما عبدنا من دونه من شيء نحن ولا آباؤنا ولا حرمنا من دونه من شيء كذلك فعل الذين من قبلهم فهل على الرسل إلا البلاغ المبين وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُواْ لَوْ شَاءَ اللّهُ مَا عَبَدْنَا مِن دُونِهِ مِن شَيْءٍ نَّحْنُ وَلاَ آبَاؤُنَا وَلاَ حَرَّمْنَا مِن دُونِهِ مِن شَيْءٍ كَذَلِكَ فَعَلَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ فَهَلْ عَلَى الرُّسُلِ إِلاَّ الْبَلاغُ الْمُبِينُ | |||||
| Words | |وقال - And said| الذين - those who| أشركوا - associate partners (with Allah),| لو - "If| شاء - Allah (had) willed| الله - Allah (had) willed| ما - not| عبدنا - we (would) have worshipped| من - other than Him| دونه - other than Him| من - any| شيء - thing,| نحن - we| ولا - and not| آباؤنا - our forefathers| ولا - and not| حرمنا - we (would) have forbidden| من - other than Him| دونه - other than Him| من - anything."| شيء - anything."| كذلك - Thus| فعل - did| الذين - those who| من - (were) before them.| قبلهم - (were) before them.| فهل - Then is (there)| على - on| الرسل - the messengers| إلا - except| البلاغ - the conveyance| المبين - clear?| | ||||||
| 4 [38:17] | Isbir AAala mayaqooloona waothkur AAabdana dawooda thaal-aydi innahu awwabun | اصبر على ما يقولون واذكر عبدنا داوود ذا الأيد إنه أواب اصْبِرْ عَلَى مَا يَقُولُونَ وَاذْكُرْ عَبْدَنَا دَاوُودَ ذَا الْأَيْدِ إِنَّهُ أَوَّابٌ | |||||
| Words | |اصبر - Be patient| على - over| ما - what| يقولون - they say,| واذكر - and remember| عبدنا - Our slave,| داوود - Dawood,| ذا - the possessor of strength.| الأيد - the possessor of strength.| إنه - Indeed, he (was)| أواب - repeatedly turning.| | ||||||
| 5 [38:41] | Waothkur AAabdanaayyooba ith nada rabbahu annee massaniya alshshaytanubinusbin waAAathabin | واذكر عبدنا أيوب إذ نادى ربه أني مسني الشيطان بنصب وعذاب وَاذْكُرْ عَبْدَنَا أَيُّوبَ إِذْ نَادَى رَبَّهُ أَنِّي مَسَّنِيَ الشَّيْطَانُ بِنُصْبٍ وَعَذَابٍ | |||||
| Words | |واذكر - And remember| عبدنا - Our slave| أيوب - Ayyub,| إذ - when| نادى - he called| ربه - his Lord,| أني - "That [I],| مسني - (has) touched me| الشيطان - Shaitaan| بنصب - with distress| وعذاب - and suffering."| | ||||||
| 6 [54:9] | Kaththabat qablahum qawmu noohinfakaththaboo AAabdana waqaloo majnoonun waizdujira | كذبت قبلهم قوم نوح فكذبوا عبدنا وقالوا مجنون وازدجر كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ فَكَذَّبُوا عَبْدَنَا وَقَالُوا مَجْنُونٌ وَازْدُجِرَ | |||||
| Words | |كذبت - Denied| قبلهم - before them| قوم - (the) people| نوح - (of) Nuh,| فكذبوا - and they denied| عبدنا - Our slave| وقالوا - and said,| مجنون - "A madman,"| وازدجر - and he was repelled.| | ||||||
