| 1 [17:88] | Qul la-ini ijtamaAAati al-insu waaljinnuAAala an ya/too bimithli hatha alqur-ani laya/toona bimithlihi walaw kana baAAduhum libaAAdinthaheeran |  قل لئن اجتمعت الإنس والجن على أن يأتوا بمثل هذا القرآن لا يأتون بمثله ولو كان بعضهم لبعض ظهيراقُل لَّئِنِ اجْتَمَعَتِ الْإِنسُ وَالْجِنُّ عَلَى أَن يَأْتُواْ بِمِثْلِ هَـذَا الْقُرْآنِ لاَ يَأْتُونَ بِمِثْلِهِ وَلَوْ كَانَ بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ ظَهِيرًا | |||||
| Words | |قل - Say,| لئن - "If| اجتمعت - gathered| الإنس - the mankind| والجن - and the jinn| على - to| أن - [that]| يأتوا - bring| بمثل - the like| هذا - (of) this| القرآن - Quran,| لا - not| يأتون - they (could) bring| بمثله - the like of it,| ولو - even if| كان - were| بعضهم - some of them| لبعض - to some others| ظهيرا - assistants."| | ||||||
| 2 [25:55] | WayaAAbudoona min dooni Allahi mala yanfaAAuhum wala yadurruhum wakanaalkafiru AAala rabbihi thaheeran | ويعبدون من دون الله ما لا ينفعهم ولا يضرهم وكان الكافر على ربه ظهيرا وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنفَعُهُمْ وَلَا يَضُرُّهُمْ وَكَانَ الْكَافِرُ عَلَى رَبِّهِ ظَهِيرًا | |||||
| Words | |ويعبدون - But they worship| من - besides Allah| دون - besides Allah| الله - besides Allah| ما - what| لا - not profits them| ينفعهم - not profits them| ولا - and not| يضرهم - harms them,| وكان - and is| الكافر - the disbeliever| على - against| ربه - his Lord| ظهيرا - a helper.| | ||||||
| 3 [28:17] | Qala rabbi bima anAAamtaAAalayya falan akoona thaheeran lilmujrimeena | قال رب بما أنعمت علي فلن أكون ظهيرا للمجرمين قَالَ رَبِّ بِمَا أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيَّ فَلَنْ أَكُونَ ظَهِيرًا لِّلْمُجْرِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| رب - "My Lord!| بما - Because| أنعمت - You have favored| علي - [on] me,| فلن - so not| أكون - I will be| ظهيرا - a supporter| للمجرمين - (of) the criminals."| | ||||||
| 4 [28:86] | Wama kunta tarjoo an yulqailayka alkitabu illa rahmatan min rabbikafala takoonanna thaheeran lilkafireena | وما كنت ترجو أن يلقى إليك الكتاب إلا رحمة من ربك فلا تكونن ظهيرا للكافرين وَمَا كُنتَ تَرْجُواْ أَن يُلْقَى إِلَيْكَ الْكِتَابُ إِلَّا رَحْمَةً مِّن رَّبِّكَ فَلَا تَكُونَنَّ ظَهِيرًا لِّلْكَافِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وما - And not| كنت - you were| ترجو - expecting| أن - that| يلقى - would be sent down| إليك - to you| الكتاب - the Book,| إلا - except| رحمة - (as) a mercy| من - from| ربك - your Lord.| فلا - So (do) not| تكونن - be| ظهيرا - an assistant| للكافرين - to the disbelievers.| | ||||||
