| 1 [2:251] | Fahazamoohum bi-ithni Allahiwaqatala dawoodu jaloota waatahu Allahualmulka waalhikmata waAAallamahu mimma yashaowalawla dafAAu Allahi alnnasa baAAdahumbibaAAdin lafasadati al-ardu walakinna Allahathoo fadlin AAala alAAalameena |  فهزموهم بإذن الله وقتل داوود جالوت وآتاه الله الملك والحكمة وعلمه مما يشاء ولولا دفع الله الناس بعضهم ببعض لفسدت الأرض ولكن الله ذو فضل على العالمينفَهَزَمُوهُم بِإِذْنِ اللّهِ وَقَتَلَ دَاوُدُ جَالُوتَ وَآتَاهُ اللّهُ الْمُلْكَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَعَلَّمَهُ مِمَّا يَشَاءُ وَلَوْلاَ دَفْعُ اللّهِ النَّاسَ بَعْضَهُمْ بِبَعْضٍ لَّفَسَدَتِ الأَرْضُ وَلَـكِنَّ اللّهَ ذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |فهزموهم - So they defeated them| بإذن - by (the) permission| الله - (of) Allah,| وقتل - and killed| داوود - Dawood| جالوت - Jalut,| وآتاه - and gave him| الله - Allah| الملك - the kingdom| والحكمة - and the wisdom| وعلمه - and taught him| مما - that which| يشاء - He willed.| ولولا - And if not| دفع - (for the) repelling| الله - (by) Allah,| الناس - [the] people -| بعضهم - some of them| ببعض - with others,| لفسدت - certainly (would have) corrupted| الأرض - the Earth,| ولكن - [and] but| الله - Allah| ذو - (is) Possessor| فضل - (of) bounty| على - to| العالمين - the worlds.| | ||||||
| 2 [4:163] | Inna awhayna ilaykakama awhayna ila noohin waalnnabiyyeenamin baAAdihi waawhayna ila ibraheemawa-ismaAAeela wa-ishaqa wayaAAqooba waal-asbatiwaAAeesa waayyooba wayoonusa waharoona wasulaymanawaatayna dawooda zabooran | إنا أوحينا إليك كما أوحينا إلى نوح والنبيين من بعده وأوحينا إلى إبراهيم وإسماعيل وإسحاق ويعقوب والأسباط وعيسى وأيوب ويونس وهارون وسليمان وآتينا داوود زبورا إِنَّا أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ كَمَا أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَى نُوحٍ وَالنَّبِيِّينَ مِن بَعْدِهِ وَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ وَإْسْحَقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ وَالْأَسْبَاطِ وَعِيسَى وَأَيُّوبَ وَيُونُسَ وَهَارُونَ وَسُلَيْمَانَ وَآتَيْنَا دَاوُودَ زَبُورًا | |||||

| 3 [5:78] | LuAAina allatheena kafaroo min baneeisra-eela AAala lisani dawoodawaAAeesa ibni maryama thalika bima AAasawwakanoo yaAAtadoona | لعن الذين كفروا من بني إسرائيل على لسان داوود وعيسى ابن مريم ذلك بما عصوا وكانوا يعتدون لُعِنَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِن بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ عَلَى لِسَانِ دَاوُودَ وَعِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ ذَلِكَ بِمَا عَصَوا وَّكَانُواْ يَعْتَدُونَ | |||||

| 4 [6:84] | Wawahabna lahu ishaqawayaAAqooba kullan hadayna wanoohan hadaynamin qablu wamin thurriyyatihi dawooda wasulaymanawaayyooba wayoosufa wamoosa waharoona wakathalikanajzee almuhsineena | ووهبنا له إسحاق ويعقوب كلا هدينا ونوحا هدينا من قبل ومن ذريته داوود وسليمان وأيوب ويوسف وموسى وهارون وكذلك نجزي المحسنين وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ إِسْحَقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ كُلاًّ هَدَيْنَا وَنُوحًا هَدَيْنَا مِن قَبْلُ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِهِ دَاوُودَ وَسُلَيْمَانَ وَأَيُّوبَ وَيُوسُفَ وَمُوسَى وَهَارُونَ وَكَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ووهبنا - And We bestowed| له - to him| إسحاق - Isaac| ويعقوب - and Yaqub,| كلا - all| هدينا - We guided.| ونوحا - And Nuh,| هدينا - We guided| من - from| قبل - before;| ومن - and of| ذريته - his descendents,| داوود - Dawood| وسليمان - and Sulaiman| وأيوب - and Ayyub| ويوسف - and Yusuf| وموسى - and Musa| وهارون - and Harun.| وكذلك - And thus| نجزي - We reward| المحسنين - the good-doers.| | ||||||
| 5 [17:55] | Warabbuka aAAlamu biman fee alssamawatiwaal-ardi walaqad faddalna baAAdaalnnabiyyeena AAala baAAdin waataynadawooda zabooran | وربك أعلم بمن في السماوات والأرض ولقد فضلنا بعض النبيين على بعض وآتينا داوود زبورا وَرَبُّكَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَن فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَلَقَدْ فَضَّلْنَا بَعْضَ النَّبِيِّينَ عَلَى بَعْضٍ وَآتَيْنَا دَاوُودَ زَبُورًا | |||||
| Words | |وربك - And your Lord| أعلم - (is) most knowing| بمن - of whoever| في - (is) in| السماوات - the heavens| والأرض - and the earth.| ولقد - And verily| فضلنا - We have preferred| بعض - some| النبيين - (of) the Prophets| على - to| بعض - others.| وآتينا - And We gave| داوود - Dawood| زبورا - Zaboor.| | ||||||
| 6 [21:79] | Fafahhamnaha sulaymanawakullan atayna hukman waAAilman wasakhkharnamaAAa dawooda aljibala yusabbihna waalttayrawakunna faAAileena | ففهمناها سليمان وكلا آتينا حكما وعلما وسخرنا مع داوود الجبال يسبحن والطير وكنا فاعلين فَفَهَّمْنَاهَا سُلَيْمَانَ وَكُلًّا آتَيْنَا حُكْمًا وَعِلْمًا وَسَخَّرْنَا مَعَ دَاوُودَ الْجِبَالَ يُسَبِّحْنَ وَالطَّيْرَ وَكُنَّا فَاعِلِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ففهمناها - And We gave understanding of it| سليمان - (to) Sulaiman,| وكلا - and (to) each| آتينا - We gave| حكما - judgment| وعلما - and knowledge.| وسخرنا - And We subjected| مع - with| داوود - Dawud| الجبال - the mountains| يسبحن - (to) glorify Our praises| والطير - and the birds.| وكنا - And We were| فاعلين - the Doers.| | ||||||
| 7 [27:15] | Walaqad atayna dawoodawasulaymana AAilman waqala alhamdulillahi allathee faddalana AAalakatheerin min AAibadihi almu/mineena | ولقد آتينا داوود وسليمان علما وقالا الحمد لله الذي فضلنا على كثير من عباده المؤمنين وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا دَاوُودَ وَسُلَيْمَانَ عِلْمًا وَقَالَا الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي فَضَّلَنَا عَلَى كَثِيرٍ مِّنْ عِبَادِهِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And verily,| آتينا - We gave| داوود - Dawood| وسليمان - and Sulaiman| علما - knowledge,| وقالا - and they said,| الحمد - "Praise be| لله - to Allah| الذي - the One Who| فضلنا - has favored us| على - over| كثير - many| من - of| عباده - His servants| المؤمنين - the believers."| | ||||||
| 8 [27:16] | Wawaritha sulaymanu dawoodawaqala ya ayyuha alnnasuAAullimna mantiqa alttayri waooteenamin kulli shay-in inna hatha lahuwa alfadlualmubeenu | وورث سليمان داوود وقال يا أيها الناس علمنا منطق الطير وأوتينا من كل شيء إن هذا لهو الفضل المبين وَوَرِثَ سُلَيْمَانُ دَاوُودَ وَقَالَ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ عُلِّمْنَا مَنطِقَ الطَّيْرِ وَأُوتِينَا مِن كُلِّ شَيْءٍ إِنَّ هَذَا لَهُوَ الْفَضْلُ الْمُبِينُ | |||||
| Words | |وورث - And inherited| سليمان - Sulaiman| داوود - Dawood.| وقال - And he said,| يا - O| أيها - "O| الناس - people!| علمنا - We have been taught| منطق - (the) language| الطير - (of) the birds,| وأوتينا - and we have been given| من - from| كل - every| شيء - thing.| إن - Indeed,| هذا - this| لهو - surely, it| الفضل - (is) the favor| المبين - evident."| | ||||||
| 9 [34:10] | Walaqad atayna dawoodaminna fadlan ya jibalu awwibeemaAAahu waalttayra waalanna lahu alhadeeda | ولقد آتينا داوود منا فضلا يا جبال أوبي معه والطير وألنا له الحديد وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا دَاوُودَ مِنَّا فَضْلًا يَا جِبَالُ أَوِّبِي مَعَهُ وَالطَّيْرَ وَأَلَنَّا لَهُ الْحَدِيدَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And certainly,| آتينا - We gave| داوود - Dawood| منا - from Us| فضلا - Bounty.| يا - O| جبال - "O mountains!| أوبي - Repeat praises| معه - with him,| والطير - and the birds."| وألنا - And We made pliable| له - for him| الحديد - [the] iron,| | ||||||
| 10 [34:13] | YaAAmaloona lahu ma yashao minmahareeba watamatheela wajifanin kaaljawabiwaqudoorin rasiyatin iAAmaloo ala dawoodashukran waqaleelun min AAibadiya alshshakooru | يعملون له ما يشاء من محاريب وتماثيل وجفان كالجواب وقدور راسيات اعملوا آل داوود شكرا وقليل من عبادي الشكور يَعْمَلُونَ لَهُ مَا يَشَاءُ مِن مَّحَارِيبَ وَتَمَاثِيلَ وَجِفَانٍ كَالْجَوَابِ وَقُدُورٍ رَّاسِيَاتٍ اعْمَلُوا آلَ دَاوُودَ شُكْرًا وَقَلِيلٌ مِّنْ عِبَادِيَ الشَّكُورُ | |||||
| Words | |يعملون - They worked| له - for him| ما - what| يشاء - he willed| من - of| محاريب - elevated chambers| وتماثيل - and statues| وجفان - and bowls| كالجواب - like reservoirs| وقدور - and cooking-pots| راسيات - fixed.| اعملوا - "Work,| آل - O family| داوود - (of) Dawood!| شكرا - (in) gratitude."| وقليل - But few| من - of| عبادي - My slaves| الشكور - (are) grateful.| | ||||||
| 11 [38:17] | Isbir AAala mayaqooloona waothkur AAabdana dawooda thaal-aydi innahu awwabun | اصبر على ما يقولون واذكر عبدنا داوود ذا الأيد إنه أواب اصْبِرْ عَلَى مَا يَقُولُونَ وَاذْكُرْ عَبْدَنَا دَاوُودَ ذَا الْأَيْدِ إِنَّهُ أَوَّابٌ | |||||
| Words | |اصبر - Be patient| على - over| ما - what| يقولون - they say,| واذكر - and remember| عبدنا - Our slave,| داوود - Dawood,| ذا - the possessor of strength.| الأيد - the possessor of strength.| إنه - Indeed, he (was)| أواب - repeatedly turning.| | ||||||
| 12 [38:22] | Ith dakhaloo AAala dawoodafafaziAAa minhum qaloo la takhaf khasmanibagha baAAduna AAala baAAdinfaohkum baynana bialhaqqi walatushtit waihdina ila sawa-ialssirati | إذ دخلوا على داوود ففزع منهم قالوا لا تخف خصمان بغى بعضنا على بعض فاحكم بيننا بالحق ولا تشطط واهدنا إلى سواء الصراط إِذْ دَخَلُوا عَلَى دَاوُودَ فَفَزِعَ مِنْهُمْ قَالُوا لَا تَخَفْ خَصْمَانِ بَغَى بَعْضُنَا عَلَى بَعْضٍ فَاحْكُم بَيْنَنَا بِالْحَقِّ وَلَا تُشْطِطْ وَاهْدِنَا إِلَى سَوَاءِ الصِّرَاطِ | |||||
| Words | |إذ - When| دخلوا - they entered| على - upon| داوود - Dawood| ففزع - and he was afraid| منهم - of them,| قالوا - they said,| لا - "(Do) not| تخف - fear.| خصمان - (We are) two litigants,| بغى - has wronged| بعضنا - one of us| على - to| بعض - another,| فاحكم - so judge| بيننا - between us| بالحق - in truth| ولا - and (do) not| تشطط - be unjust| واهدنا - and guide us| إلى - to| سواء - an even| الصراط - [the] path.| | ||||||
| 13 [38:24] | Qala laqad thalamakabisu-ali naAAjatika ila niAAajihi wa-innakatheeran mina alkhulata-i layabghee baAAduhum AAalabaAAdin illa allatheena amanoowaAAamiloo alssalihati waqaleelun mahum wathanna dawoodu annama fatannahufaistaghfara rabbahu wakharra rakiAAan waanaba | قال لقد ظلمك بسؤال نعجتك إلى نعاجه وإن كثيرا من الخلطاء ليبغي بعضهم على بعض إلا الذين آمنوا وعملوا الصالحات وقليل ما هم وظن داوود أنما فتناه فاستغفر ربه وخر راكعا وأناب قَالَ لَقَدْ ظَلَمَكَ بِسُؤَالِ نَعْجَتِكَ إِلَى نِعَاجِهِ وَإِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنَ الْخُلَطَاءِ لَيَبْغِي بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَقَلِيلٌ مَّا هُمْ وَظَنَّ دَاوُودُ أَنَّمَا فَتَنَّاهُ فَاسْتَغْفَرَ رَبَّهُ وَخَرَّ رَاكِعًا وَأَنَابَ | |||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| لقد - "Certainly,| ظلمك - he has wronged you| بسؤال - by demanding| نعجتك - your ewe| إلى - to| نعاجه - his ewes.| وإن - And indeed,| كثيرا - many| من - of| الخلطاء - the partners| ليبغي - certainly oppress| بعضهم - some of them| على - [on]| بعض - another| إلا - except| الذين - those who| آمنوا - believe| وعملوا - and do| الصالحات - righteous deeds| وقليل - and few| ما - (are) they."| هم - (are) they."| وظن - And became certain| داوود - Dawood| أنما - that| فتناه - We (had) tried him,| فاستغفر - and he asked forgiveness| ربه - (of) his Lord| وخر - and fell down| راكعا - bowing| وأناب - and turned in repentance.| | ||||||
| 14 [38:26] | Ya dawoodu inna jaAAalnakakhaleefatan fee al-ardi faohkum bayna alnnasibialhaqqi wala tattabiAAi alhawa fayudillakaAAan sabeeli Allahi inna allatheena yadilloonaAAan sabeeli Allahi lahum AAathabun shadeedun bimanasoo yawma alhisabi | يا داوود إنا جعلناك خليفة في الأرض فاحكم بين الناس بالحق ولا تتبع الهوى فيضلك عن سبيل الله إن الذين يضلون عن سبيل الله لهم عذاب شديد بما نسوا يوم الحساب يَا دَاوُودُ إِنَّا جَعَلْنَاكَ خَلِيفَةً فِي الْأَرْضِ فَاحْكُم بَيْنَ النَّاسِ بِالْحَقِّ وَلَا تَتَّبِعِ الْهَوَى فَيُضِلَّكَ عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَضِلُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌ بِمَا نَسُوا يَوْمَ الْحِسَابِ | |||||
