| 1 [28:82] | Waasbaha allatheenatamannaw makanahu bial-amsi yaqooloona waykaannaAllaha yabsutu alrrizqa liman yashaomin AAibadihi wayaqdiru lawla an manna AllahuAAalayna lakhasafa bina waykaannahu la yuflihualkafiroona |  وأصبح الذين تمنوا مكانه بالأمس يقولون ويكأن الله يبسط الرزق لمن يشاء من عباده ويقدر لولا أن من الله علينا لخسف بنا ويكأنه لا يفلح الكافرونوَأَصْبَحَ الَّذِينَ تَمَنَّوْا مَكَانَهُ بِالْأَمْسِ يَقُولُونَ وَيْكَأَنَّ اللَّهَ يَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لِمَن يَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ وَيَقْدِرُ لَوْلَا أَن مَّنَّ اللَّهُ عَلَيْنَا لَخَسَفَ بِنَا وَيْكَأَنَّهُ لَا يُفْلِحُ الْكَافِرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وأصبح - And began,| الذين - those who| تمنوا - (had) wished| مكانه - his position| بالأمس - the day before| يقولون - (to) say,| ويكأن - "Ah! That| الله - Allah| يبسط - extends| الرزق - the provision| لمن - for whom| يشاء - He wills| من - of| عباده - His slaves,| ويقدر - and restricts it.| لولا - If not| أن - that| من - Allah had favored| الله - Allah had favored| علينا - [to] us| لخسف - He would have caused it to swallow us.| بنا - He would have caused it to swallow us.| ويكأنه - Ah! That| لا - not| يفلح - will succeed| الكافرون - the disbelievers."| | ||||||
| 2 [49:17] | Yamunnoona AAalayka an aslamoo qul latamunnoo AAalayya islamakum bali Allahu yamunnuAAalaykum an hadakum lil-eemani in kuntum sadiqeena | يمنون عليك أن أسلموا قل لا تمنوا علي إسلامكم بل الله يمن عليكم أن هداكم للإيمان إن كنتم صادقين يَمُنُّونَ عَلَيْكَ أَنْ أَسْلَمُوا قُل لَّا تَمُنُّوا عَلَيَّ إِسْلَامَكُم بَلِ اللَّهُ يَمُنُّ عَلَيْكُمْ أَنْ هَدَاكُمْ لِلْإِيْمَانِ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ | |||||
| Words | |يمنون - They consider (it) a favor| عليك - to you| أن - that| أسلموا - they have accepted Islam.| قل - Say,| لا - "(Do) not| تمنوا - consider a favor| علي - on me -| إسلامكم - your Islam.| بل - Nay,| الله - Allah| يمن - has conferred a favor| عليكم - upon you| أن - that| هداكم - He has guided you| للإيمان - to the faith,| إن - if| كنتم - you are| صادقين - truthful.| | ||||||
