| 1 [2:41] | Waaminoo bima anzaltu musaddiqanlima maAAakum wala takoonoo awwala kafirinbihi wala tashtaroo bi-ayatee thamananqaleelan wa-iyyaya faittaqooni |  وآمنوا بما أنزلت مصدقا لما معكم ولا تكونوا أول كافر به ولا تشتروا بآياتي ثمنا قليلا وإياي فاتقونوَآمِنُواْ بِمَا أَنزَلْتُ مُصَدِّقاً لِّمَا مَعَكُمْ وَلاَ تَكُونُواْ أَوَّلَ كَافِرٍ بِهِ وَلاَ تَشْتَرُواْ بِآيَاتِي ثَمَناً قَلِيلاً وَّإِيَّايَ فَاتَّقُونِ | |||||

| 2 [2:148] | Walikullin wijhatun huwa muwalleehafaistabiqoo alkhayrati aynama takoonoo ya/tibikumu Allahu jameeAAan inna Allaha AAalakulli shay-in qadeerun | ولكل وجهة هو موليها فاستبقوا الخيرات أين ما تكونوا يأت بكم الله جميعا إن الله على كل شيء قدير وَلِكُلٍّ وِجْهَةٌ هُوَ مُوَلِّيهَا فَاسْتَبِقُواْ الْخَيْرَاتِ أَيْنَ مَا تَكُونُواْ يَأْتِ بِكُمُ اللّهُ جَمِيعًا إِنَّ اللّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ | |||||
| Words | |ولكل - And for everyone| وجهة - (is) a direction -| هو - he| موليها - turns towards it,| فاستبقوا - so race| الخيرات - (to) the good.| أين - Wherever| ما - that| تكونوا - you will be| يأت - will bring| بكم - you| الله - (by) Allah| جميعا - together.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| على - (is) on| كل - every| شيء - thing| قدير - All-Powerful.| | ||||||
| 3 [2:151] | Kama arsalna feekum rasoolanminkum yatloo AAalaykum ayatinawayuzakkeekum wayuAAallimukumu alkitaba waalhikmatawayuAAallimukum ma lam takoonoo taAAlamoona | كما أرسلنا فيكم رسولا منكم يتلو عليكم آياتنا ويزكيكم ويعلمكم الكتاب والحكمة ويعلمكم ما لم تكونوا تعلمون كَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا فِيكُمْ رَسُولاً مِّنكُمْ يَتْلُو عَلَيْكُمْ آيَاتِنَا وَيُزَكِّيكُمْ وَيُعَلِّمُكُمُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَيُعَلِّمُكُم مَّا لَمْ تَكُونُواْ تَعْلَمُونَ | |||||

| 4 [2:239] | Fa-in khiftum farijalan aw rukbananfa-itha amintum faothkuroo Allaha kamaAAallamakum ma lam takoonoo taAAlamoona | فإن خفتم فرجالا أو ركبانا فإذا أمنتم فاذكروا الله كما علمكم ما لم تكونوا تعلمون فَإنْ خِفْتُمْ فَرِجَالاً أَوْ رُكْبَانًا فَإِذَا أَمِنتُمْ فَاذْكُرُواْ اللّهَ كَمَا عَلَّمَكُم مَّا لَمْ تَكُونُواْ تَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |فإن - And if| خفتم - you fear| فرجالا - then (pray) on foot| أو - or| ركبانا - riding.| فإذا - Then when| أمنتم - you are secure| فاذكروا - then remember| الله - Allah| كما - as| علمكم - He (has) taught you| ما - what| لم - not| تكونوا - you were| تعلمون - knowing.| | ||||||
| 5 [3:105] | Wala takoonoo kaallatheenatafarraqoo waikhtalafoo min baAAdi ma jaahumualbayyinatu waola-ika lahum AAathabun AAatheemun | ولا تكونوا كالذين تفرقوا واختلفوا من بعد ما جاءهم البينات وأولئك لهم عذاب عظيم وَلاَ تَكُونُواْ كَالَّذِينَ تَفَرَّقُواْ وَاخْتَلَفُواْ مِن بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَهُمُ الْبَيِّنَاتُ وَأُوْلَـئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |ولا - And (do) not| تكونوا - be| كالذين - like those who| تفرقوا - became divided| واختلفوا - and differed| من - from| بعد - after| ما - what| جاءهم - came to them -| البينات - the clear proofs.| وأولئك - And those| لهم - for them| عذاب - (is) a punishment| عظيم - great.| | ||||||
| 6 [3:156] | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoola takoonoo kaallatheena kafaroo waqalooli-ikhwanihim itha daraboo fee al-ardiaw kanoo ghuzzan law kanoo AAindana mamatoo wama qutiloo liyajAAala Allahu thalikahasratan fee quloobihim waAllahu yuhyeewayumeetu waAllahu bima taAAmaloona baseerun | يا أيها الذين آمنوا لا تكونوا كالذين كفروا وقالوا لإخوانهم إذا ضربوا في الأرض أو كانوا غزى لو كانوا عندنا ما ماتوا وما قتلوا ليجعل الله ذلك حسرة في قلوبهم والله يحيي ويميت والله بما تعملون بصير يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ لاَ تَكُونُواْ كَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَقَالُواْ لِإِخْوَانِهِمْ إِذَا ضَرَبُواْ فِي الْأَرْضِ أَوْ كَانُواْ غُزًّى لَّوْ كَانُواْ عِندَنَا مَا مَاتُواْ وَمَا قُتِلُواْ لِيَجْعَلَ اللّهُ ذَلِكَ حَسْرَةً فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ وَاللّهُ يُحْيِـي وَيُمِيتُ وَاللّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ | |||||
| Words | |يا - O| أيها - O you| الذين - who| آمنوا - believe[d]!| لا - (Do) not| تكونوا - be| كالذين - like those who| كفروا - disbelieved| وقالوا - and they said| لإخوانهم - about their brothers| إذا - when| ضربوا - they traveled| في - in| الأرض - the earth| أو - or| كانوا - they were| غزى - fighting,| لو - "If| كانوا - they had been| عندنا - with us,| ما - not| ماتوا - they (would have) died| وما - and not| قتلوا - they (would have) been killed."| ليجعل - So makes| الله - Allah| ذلك - that| حسرة - a regret| في - in| قلوبهم - their hearts.| والله - And Allah| يحيي - gives life| ويميت - and causes death,| والله - and Allah| بما - of what| تعملون - you do| بصير - (is) All-Seer.| | ||||||
| 7 [4:23] | Hurrimat AAalaykum ommahatukumwabanatukum waakhawatukum waAAammatukum wakhalatukumwabanatu al-akhi wabanatu al-okhti waommahatukumuallatee ardaAAnakum waakhawatukum mina alrradaAAatiwaommahatu nisa-ikum waraba-ibukumu allateefee hujoorikum min nisa-ikumu allateedakhaltum bihinna fa-in lam takoonoo dakhaltum bihinna falajunaha AAalaykum wahala-ilu abna-ikumuallatheena min aslabikum waan tajmaAAoobayna al-okhtayni illa ma qad salafa inna Allahakana ghafooran raheeman | حرمت عليكم أمهاتكم وبناتكم وأخواتكم وعماتكم وخالاتكم وبنات الأخ وبنات الأخت وأمهاتكم اللاتي أرضعنكم وأخواتكم من الرضاعة وأمهات نسائكم وربائبكم اللاتي في حجوركم من نسائكم اللاتي دخلتم بهن فإن لم تكونوا دخلتم بهن فلا جناح عليكم وحلائل أبنائكم الذين من أصلابكم وأن تجمعوا بين الأختين إلا ما قد سلف إن الله كان غفورا رحيما حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْكُمْ أُمَّهَاتُكُمْ وَبَنَاتُكُمْ وَأَخَوَاتُكُمْ وَعَمَّاتُكُمْ وَخَالاَتُكُمْ وَبَنَاتُ الْأَخِ وَبَنَاتُ الْأُخْتِ وَأُمَّهَاتُكُمُ اللاَّتِي أَرْضَعْنَكُمْ وَأَخَوَاتُكُم مِّنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ وَأُمَّهَاتُ نِسَآئِكُمْ وَرَبَائِبُكُمُ اللاَّتِي فِي حُجُورِكُم مِّن نِّسَآئِكُمُ اللاَّتِي دَخَلْتُم بِهِنَّ فَإِن لَّمْ تَكُونُواْ دَخَلْتُم بِهِنَّ فَلاَ جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَحَلاَئِلُ أَبْنَائِكُمُ الَّذِينَ مِنْ أَصْلاَبِكُمْ وَأَن تَجْمَعُواْ بَيْنَ الْأُخْتَيْنِ إَلاَّ مَا قَدْ سَلَفَ إِنَّ اللّهَ كَانَ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا | |||||
| Words | |حرمت - Forbidden| عليكم - to you| أمهاتكم - (are) your mothers| وبناتكم - and your daughters| وأخواتكم - and your sisters| وعماتكم - and your father's sisters| وخالاتكم - and your mother's sisters| وبنات - and daughters| الأخ - (of) brothers,| وبنات - and daughters| الأخت - (of) sisters| وأمهاتكم - and (the) mothers| اللاتي - who| أرضعنكم - nursed you| وأخواتكم - and your sisters| من - from| الرضاعة - the nursing| وأمهات - and mothers| نسائكم - (of) your wives| وربائبكم - and your step daughters| اللاتي - who| في - (are) in| حجوركم - your guardianship| من - of| نسائكم - your women| اللاتي - whom| دخلتم - you had relations| بهن - with them,| فإن - but if| لم - not| تكونوا - you had| دخلتم - relations| بهن - with them,| فلا - then (there is) no| جناح - sin| عليكم - on you.| وحلائل - And wives| أبنائكم - (of) your sons,| الذين - those who| من - (are) from| أصلابكم - your loins| وأن - and that| تجمعوا - you gather together| بين - [between]| الأختين - two sisters| إلا - except| ما - what| قد - has| سلف - passed before.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| كان - is| غفورا - Oft-Forgiving,| رحيما - Most-Merciful.| | ||||||
| 8 [4:78] | Aynama takoonoo yudrikkumu almawtuwalaw kuntum fee buroojin mushayyadatin wa-in tusibhum hasanatunyaqooloo hathihi min AAindi Allahi wa-in tusibhumsayyi-atun yaqooloo hathihi min AAindika qul kullun minAAindi Allahi famali haola-i alqawmila yakadoona yafqahoona hadeethan | أينما تكونوا يدرككم الموت ولو كنتم في بروج مشيدة وإن تصبهم حسنة يقولوا هذه من عند الله وإن تصبهم سيئة يقولوا هذه من عندك قل كل من عند الله فمال هؤلاء القوم لا يكادون يفقهون حديثا أَيْنَمَا تَكُونُواْ يُدْرِككُّمُ الْمَوْتُ وَلَوْ كُنتُمْ فِي بُرُوجٍ مُّشَيَّدَةٍ وَإِن تُصِبْهُمْ حَسَنَةٌ يَقُولُواْ هَـذِهِ مِنْ عِندِ اللّهِ وَإِن تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةٌ يَقُولُواْ هَـذِهِ مِنْ عِندِكَ قُلْ كُلٌّ مِّنْ عِندِ اللّهِ فَمَا لِهَـؤُلاَءِ الْقَوْمِ لاَ يَكَادُونَ يَفْقَهُونَ حَدِيثًا | |||||
| Words | |أينما - Wherever| تكونوا - you be| يدرككم - will overtake you| الموت - [the] death| ولو - even if| كنتم - you are| في - in| بروج - towers| مشيدة - lofty.| وإن - And if| تصبهم - befalls them| حسنة - any good| يقولوا - they say,| هذه - "This| من - (is)| عند - from| الله - Allah."| وإن - And if| تصبهم - befalls them| سيئة - any evil| يقولوا - they say,| هذه - "This| من - (is)| عندك - (from) you."| قل - Say,| كل - "All| من - (is)| عند - from| الله - Allah."| فمال - So what (is wrong)| هؤلاء - (with) these| القوم - [the] people,| لا - not| يكادون - do they seem| يفقهون - (to) understand| حديثا - any statement.| | ||||||
| 9 [4:104] | Wala tahinoo fee ibtigha-ialqawmi in takoonoo ta/lamoona fa-innahum ya/lamoona kamata/lamoona watarjoona mina Allahi ma layarjoona wakana Allahu AAaleeman hakeeman | ولا تهنوا في ابتغاء القوم إن تكونوا تألمون فإنهم يألمون كما تألمون وترجون من الله ما لا يرجون وكان الله عليما حكيما وَلاَ تَهِنُواْ فِي ابْتِغَاءِ الْقَوْمِ إِن تَكُونُواْ تَأْلَمُونَ فَإِنَّهُمْ يَأْلَمُونَ كَمَا تَأْلَمُونَ وَتَرْجُونَ مِنَ اللّهِ مَا لاَ يَرْجُونَ وَكَانَ اللّهُ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا | |||||
| Words | |ولا - And (do) not| تهنوا - be weak| في - in| ابتغاء - pursuit| القوم - (of) the people.| إن - If| تكونوا - you are| تألمون - suffering,| فإنهم - then indeed, they| يألمون - are (also) suffering| كما - like what| تألمون - you are suffering,| وترجون - while you (have) hope| من - from| الله - Allah| ما - what| لا - not| يرجون - they hope.| وكان - And is| الله - Allah| عليما - All-Knowing,| حكيما - All-Wise.| | ||||||
| 10 [8:21] | Wala takoonoo kaallatheenaqaloo samiAAna wahum la yasmaAAoona | ولا تكونوا كالذين قالوا سمعنا وهم لا يسمعون وَلاَ تَكُونُواْ كَالَّذِينَ قَالُوا سَمِعْنَا وَهُمْ لاَ يَسْمَعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولا - And (do) not| تكونوا - be| كالذين - like those who| قالوا - say,| سمعنا - "We heard,"| وهم - while they| لا - (do) not| يسمعون - hear.| | ||||||
| 11 [8:47] | Wala takoonoo kaallatheenakharajoo min diyarihim bataran wari-aa alnnasiwayasuddoona AAan sabeeli Allahi waAllahubima yaAAmaloona muheetun | ولا تكونوا كالذين خرجوا من ديارهم بطرا ورئاء الناس ويصدون عن سبيل الله والله بما يعملون محيط وَلاَ تَكُونُواْ كَالَّذِينَ خَرَجُواْ مِن دِيَارِهِم بَطَرًا وَرِئَاءَ النَّاسِ وَيَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ اللّهِ وَاللّهُ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ مُحِيطٌ | |||||
| Words | |ولا - And (do) not| تكونوا - be| كالذين - like those who| خرجوا - came forth| من - from| ديارهم - their homes| بطرا - boastfully| ورئاء - and showing off| الناس - (to) the people,| ويصدون - and hinder (them)| عن - from| سبيل - (the) way| الله - (of) Allah.| والله - And Allah| بما - of what| يعملون - they do| محيط - (is) All-Encompassing.| | ||||||
| 12 [14:44] | Waanthiri alnnasa yawmaya/teehimu alAAathabu fayaqoolu allatheena thalamoorabbana akhkhirna ila ajalin qareebin nujibdaAAwataka wanattabiAAi alrrusula awa lam takoonooaqsamtum min qablu ma lakum min zawalin | وأنذر الناس يوم يأتيهم العذاب فيقول الذين ظلموا ربنا أخرنا إلى أجل قريب نجب دعوتك ونتبع الرسل أولم تكونوا أقسمتم من قبل ما لكم من زوال وَأَنذِرِ النَّاسَ يَوْمَ يَأْتِيهِمُ الْعَذَابُ فَيَقُولُ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ رَبَّنَا أَخِّرْنَا إِلَى أَجَلٍ قَرِيبٍ نُّجِبْ دَعْوَتَكَ وَنَتَّبِعِ الرُّسُلَ أَوَلَمْ تَكُونُواْ أَقْسَمْتُم مِّن قَبْلُ مَا لَكُم مِّن زَوَالٍ | |||||
| Words | |وأنذر - And warn| الناس - the mankind| يوم - (of) a Day| يأتيهم - (when) will come to them| العذاب - the punishment,| فيقول - then will say| الذين - those who| ظلموا - did wrong,| ربنا - "Our Lord!| أخرنا - Respite us| إلى - for| أجل - a term| قريب - short;| نجب - we will answer| دعوتك - Your call| ونتبع - and we will follow| الرسل - the Messengers."| أولم - "Had not| تكونوا - you| أقسمتم - sworn| من - before| قبل - before| ما - not| لكم - for you| من - any| زوال - end?| | ||||||
| 13 [16:7] | Watahmilu athqalakum ilabaladin lam takoonoo baligheehi illa bishiqqial-anfusi inna rabbakum laraoofun raheemun | وتحمل أثقالكم إلى بلد لم تكونوا بالغيه إلا بشق الأنفس إن ربكم لرءوف رحيم وَتَحْمِلُ أَثْقَالَكُمْ إِلَى بَلَدٍ لَّمْ تَكُونُواْ بَالِغِيهِ إِلاَّ بِشِقِّ الْأَنفُسِ إِنَّ رَبَّكُمْ لَرَؤُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |وتحمل - And they carry| أثقالكم - your loads| إلى - to| بلد - a land| لم - not| تكونوا - you could| بالغيه - reach it| إلا - except| بشق - with great trouble| الأنفس - (to) yourselves.| إن - Indeed,| ربكم - your Lord| لرءوف - surely is Most Kind,| رحيم - Most Merciful.| | ||||||
| 14 [16:92] | Wala takoonoo kaallatee naqadatghazlaha min baAAdi quwwatin ankathan tattakhithoonaaymanakum dakhalan baynakum an takoona ommatun hiya arbamin ommatin innama yablookumu Allahu bihiwalayubayyinanna lakum yawma alqiyamati ma kuntumfeehi takhtalifoona | ولا تكونوا كالتي نقضت غزلها من بعد قوة أنكاثا تتخذون أيمانكم دخلا بينكم أن تكون أمة هي أربى من أمة إنما يبلوكم الله به وليبينن لكم يوم القيامة ما كنتم فيه تختلفون وَلاَ تَكُونُواْ كَالَّتِي نَقَضَتْ غَزْلَهَا مِن بَعْدِ قُوَّةٍ أَنكَاثًا تَتَّخِذُونَ أَيْمَانَكُمْ دَخَلاً بَيْنَكُمْ أَن تَكُونَ أُمَّةٌ هِيَ أَرْبَى مِنْ أُمَّةٍ إِنَّمَا يَبْلُوكُمُ اللّهُ بِهِ وَلَيُبَيِّنَنَّ لَكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مَا كُنتُمْ فِيهِ تَخْتَلِفُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولا - And (do) not| تكونوا - be| كالتي - like her who| نقضت - untwists| غزلها - her spun yarn| من - after| بعد - after| قوة - strength| أنكاثا - (into) untwisted strands;| تتخذون - you take| أيمانكم - your oaths| دخلا - (as) a deception| بينكم - between you,| أن - because| تكون - is| أمة - a community| هي - [it]| أربى - more numerous| من - than| أمة - (another) community.| إنما - Only,| يبلوكم - Allah tests you| الله - Allah tests you| به - by it.| وليبينن - And He will make clear| لكم - to you| يوم - (on) the Day| القيامة - (of) the Resurrection,| ما - what| كنتم - you used (to)| فيه - in it| تختلفون - differ.| | ||||||
| 15 [17:25] | Rabbukum aAAlamu bima fee nufoosikumin takoonoo saliheena fa-innahu kana lil-awwabeenaghafooran | ربكم أعلم بما في نفوسكم إن تكونوا صالحين فإنه كان للأوابين غفورا رَّبُّكُمْ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا فِي نُفُوسِكُمْ إِن تَكُونُواْ صَالِحِينَ فَإِنَّهُ كَانَ لِلْأَوَّابِينَ غَفُورًا | |||||
| Words | |ربكم - Your Lord| أعلم - (is) most knowing| بما - of what| في - (is) in| نفوسكم - yourselves.| إن - If| تكونوا - you are| صالحين - righteous,| فإنه - then indeed, He| كان - is| للأوابين - to those who often turn (to Him)| غفورا - Most Forgiving.| | ||||||
| 16 [26:181] | Awfoo alkayla wala takoonoo minaalmukhsireena | أوفوا الكيل ولا تكونوا من المخسرين أَوْفُوا الْكَيْلَ وَلَا تَكُونُوا مِنَ الْمُخْسِرِينَ | |||||

| 18 [33:69] | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoola takoonoo kaallatheena athaw moosafabarraahu Allahu mimma qaloo wakanaAAinda Allahi wajeehan | يا أيها الذين آمنوا لا تكونوا كالذين آذوا موسى فبرأه الله مما قالوا وكان عند الله وجيها يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ آذَوْا مُوسَى فَبَرَّأَهُ اللَّهُ مِمَّا قَالُوا وَكَانَ عِندَ اللَّهِ وَجِيهًا | |||||

| 19 [36:62] | Walaqad adalla minkum jibillankatheeran afalam takoonoo taAAqiloona | ولقد أضل منكم جبلا كثيرا أفلم تكونوا تعقلون وَلَقَدْ أَضَلَّ مِنكُمْ جِبِلًّا كَثِيرًا أَفَلَمْ تَكُونُوا تَعْقِلُونَ | |||||
