| 1 [5:118] | In tuAAaththibhum fa-innahum AAibadukawa-in taghfir lahum fa-innaka anta alAAazeezu alhakeemu |  إن تعذبهم فإنهم عبادك وإن تغفر لهم فإنك أنت العزيز الحكيمإِن تُعَذِّبْهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ عِبَادُكَ وَإِن تَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ فَإِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ | |||||
| Words | |إن - If| تعذبهم - You punish them,| فإنهم - then indeed they| عبادك - (are) Your slaves,| وإن - and if| تغفر - You forgive| لهم - [for] them| فإنك - then indeed You,| أنت - You| العزيز - (are) the All-Mighty,| الحكيم - the All-Wise."| | ||||||
| 2 [7:23] | Qala rabbana thalamnaanfusana wa-in lam taghfir lana watarhamnalanakoonanna mina alkhasireena | قالا ربنا ظلمنا أنفسنا وإن لم تغفر لنا وترحمنا لنكونن من الخاسرين قَالاَ رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَا أَنفُسَنَا وَإِن لَّمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |قالا - Both of them said,| ربنا - "Our Lord| ظلمنا - we have wronged| أنفسنا - ourselves,| وإن - and if| لم - not| تغفر - You forgive| لنا - [for] us| وترحمنا - and have mercy (on) us,| لنكونن - surely, we will be| من - among| الخاسرين - the losers."| | ||||||
| 3 [11:47] | Qala rabbi innee aAAoothu bikaan as-alaka ma laysa lee bihi AAilmun wa-illataghfir lee watarhamnee akun mina alkhasireena | قال رب إني أعوذ بك أن أسألك ما ليس لي به علم وإلا تغفر لي وترحمني أكن من الخاسرين قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ أَسْأَلَكَ مَا لَيْسَ لِي بِهِ عِلْمٌ وَإِلاَّ تَغْفِرْ لِي وَتَرْحَمْنِي أَكُن مِّنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| رب - "O my Lord!| إني - Indeed, I| أعوذ - seek refuge| بك - in You,| أن - that| أسألك - I (should) ask You| ما - what| ليس - not| لي - I have| به - of it| علم - knowledge.| وإلا - And unless| تغفر - You forgive| لي - me| وترحمني - and You have mercy on me,| أكن - I will be| من - among| الخاسرين - the losers."| | ||||||
