| 1 [2:118] | Waqala allatheena layaAAlamoona lawla yukallimuna Allahu awta/teena ayatun kathalika qala allatheenamin qablihim mithla qawlihim tashabahat quloobuhum qadbayyanna al-ayati liqawmin yooqinoona |  وقال الذين لا يعلمون لولا يكلمنا الله أو تأتينا آية كذلك قال الذين من قبلهم مثل قولهم تشابهت قلوبهم قد بينا الآيات لقوم يوقنونوَقَالَ الَّذِينَ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ لَوْلاَ يُكَلِّمُنَا اللّهُ أَوْ تَأْتِينَا آيَةٌ كَذَلِكَ قَالَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّثْلَ قَوْلِهِمْ تَشَابَهَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ قَدْ بَيَّنَّا الآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يُوقِنُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وقال - And said| الذين - those who| لا - (do) not| يعلمون - know,| لولا - "Why not| يكلمنا - speaks to us| الله - Allah| أو - or| تأتينا - comes to us| آية - a sign?"| كذلك - Like that| قال - said| الذين - those| من - from| قبلهم - before them| مثل - similar| قولهم - their saying.| تشابهت - Became alike| قلوبهم - their hearts.| قد - Indeed,| بينا - We have made clear| الآيات - the signs| لقوم - for people| يوقنون - (who) firmly believe.| | ||||||
| 2 [7:129] | Qaloo ootheena minqabli an ta/tiyana wamin baAAdi ma ji/tana qalaAAasa rabbukum an yuhlika AAaduwwakum wayastakhlifakum feeal-ardi fayanthura kayfa taAAmaloona | قالوا أوذينا من قبل أن تأتينا ومن بعد ما جئتنا قال عسى ربكم أن يهلك عدوكم ويستخلفكم في الأرض فينظر كيف تعملون قَالُواْ أُوذِينَا مِن قَبْلِ أَن تَأْتِيَنَا وَمِن بَعْدِ مَا جِئْتَنَا قَالَ عَسَى رَبُّكُمْ أَن يُهْلِكَ عَدُوَّكُمْ وَيَسْتَخْلِفَكُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرَ كَيْفَ تَعْمَلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |قالوا - They said,| أوذينا - "We have been harmed| من - from| قبل - before| أن - [that]| تأتينا - you came to us| ومن - from| بعد - and after| ما - [what]| جئتنا - you have come to us."| قال - He said,| عسى - "Perhaps| ربكم - your Lord| أن - [that]| يهلك - will destroy| عدوكم - your enemy| ويستخلفكم - and make you successors| في - in| الأرض - the earth,| فينظر - then see| كيف - how| تعملون - you will do."| | ||||||
| 3 [15:7] | Law ma ta/teena bialmala-ikatiin kunta mina alssadiqeena | لو ما تأتينا بالملائكة إن كنت من الصادقين لَّوْ مَا تَأْتِينَا بِالْمَلَائِكَةِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ | |||||
| Words | |لو - Why| ما - not| تأتينا - you bring to us| بالملائكة - the Angels,| إن - if| كنت - you are| من - of| الصادقين - the truthful?"| | ||||||
| 4 [34:3] | Waqala allatheena kafaroo lata/teena alssaAAatu qul bala warabbeelata/tiyannakum AAalimi alghaybi la yaAAzubu AAanhumithqalu tharratin fee alssamawatiwala fee al-ardi wala asgharu min thalikawala akbaru illa fee kitabin mubeenin | وقال الذين كفروا لا تأتينا الساعة قل بلى وربي لتأتينكم عالم الغيب لا يعزب عنه مثقال ذرة في السماوات ولا في الأرض ولا أصغر من ذلك ولا أكبر إلا في كتاب مبين وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَا تَأْتِينَا السَّاعَةُ قُلْ بَلَى وَرَبِّي لَتَأْتِيَنَّكُمْ عَالِمِ الْغَيْبِ لَا يَعْزُبُ عَنْهُ مِثْقَالُ ذَرَّةٍ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَلَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا أَصْغَرُ مِن ذَلِكَ وَلَا أَكْبَرُ إِلَّا فِي كِتَابٍ مُّبِينٍ | |||||
| Words | |وقال - But say| الذين - those who| كفروا - disbelieve,| لا - "Not| تأتينا - will come to us| الساعة - the Hour."| قل - Say,| بلى - "Nay,| وربي - by my Lord| لتأتينكم - surely it will come to you.| عالم - (He is the) Knower| الغيب - (of) the unseen."| لا - Not| يعزب - escapes| عنه - from Him| مثقال - (the) weight| ذرة - (of) an atom| في - in| السماوات - the heavens| ولا - and not| في - in| الأرض - the earth| ولا - and not| أصغر - smaller| من - than| ذلك - that| ولا - and not| أكبر - greater,| إلا - but| في - (is) in| كتاب - a Record| مبين - Clear.| | ||||||
