| 1 [7:142] | WawaAAadna moosa thalatheenalaylatan waatmamnaha biAAashrin fatamma meeqaturabbihi arbaAAeena laylatan waqala moosa li-akheehiharoona okhlufnee fee qawmee waaslih walatattabiAA sabeela almufsideena |  وواعدنا موسى ثلاثين ليلة وأتممناها بعشر فتم ميقات ربه أربعين ليلة وقال موسى لأخيه هارون اخلفني في قومي وأصلح ولا تتبع سبيل المفسدينوَوَاعَدْنَا مُوسَى ثَلاَثِينَ لَيْلَةً وَأَتْمَمْنَاهَا بِعَشْرٍ فَتَمَّ مِيقَاتُ رَبِّهِ أَرْبَعِينَ لَيْلَةً وَقَالَ مُوسَى لِأَخِيهِ هَارُونَ اخْلُفْنِي فِي قَوْمِي وَأَصْلِحْ وَلاَ تَتَّبِعْ سَبِيلَ الْمُفْسِدِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وواعدنا - And We appointed| موسى - (for) Musa| ثلاثين - thirty| ليلة - nights| وأتممناها - and We completed them| بعشر - with ten (more),| فتم - so was completed| ميقات - (the) set term| ربه - (of) his Lord| أربعين - (of) forty| ليلة - night(s).| وقال - And said| موسى - Musa| لأخيه - to his brother| هارون - Harun,| اخلفني - "Take my place| في - in| قومي - my people,| وأصلح - and do right| ولا - and (do) not| تتبع - follow| سبيل - (the) way| المفسدين - (of) the corrupters."| | ||||||
| 2 [11:13] | Am yaqooloona iftarahu qul fa/toobiAAashri suwarin mithlihi muftarayatin waodAAoomani istataAAtum min dooni Allahi in kuntum sadiqeena | أم يقولون افتراه قل فأتوا بعشر سور مثله مفتريات وادعوا من استطعتم من دون الله إن كنتم صادقين أَمْ يَقُولُونَ افْتَرَاهُ قُلْ فَأْتُواْ بِعَشْرِ سُوَرٍ مِّثْلِهِ مُفْتَرَيَاتٍ وَادْعُواْ مَنِ اسْتَطَعْتُم مِّن دُونِ اللّهِ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ | |||||
| Words | |أم - Or| يقولون - they say,| افتراه - "He has fabricated it."| قل - Say,| فأتوا - "Then bring| بعشر - ten| سور - Surahs| مثله - like it| مفتريات - fabricated,| وادعوا - and call| من - whoever| استطعتم - you can| من - besides Allah| دون - besides Allah| الله - besides Allah| إن - if| كنتم - you are| صادقين - truthful."| | ||||||
