| 1 [2:19] | Aw kasayyibin mina alssama-ifeehi thulumatun waraAAdun wabarqunyajAAaloona asabiAAahum fee athanihim mina alssawaAAiqihathara almawti waAllahu muheetunbialkafireena |  أو كصيب من السماء فيه ظلمات ورعد وبرق يجعلون أصابعهم في آذانهم من الصواعق حذر الموت والله محيط بالكافرينأَوْ كَصَيِّبٍ مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ فِيهِ ظُلُمَاتٌ وَّرَعْدٌ وَّبَرْقٌ يَجْعَلُونَ أَصَابِعَهُمْ فِي آذَانِهِم مِّنَ الصَّوَاعِقِ حَذَرَ الْمَوْتِ وَاللّهُ مُحِيطٌ بِالْكَافِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |أو - Or| كصيب - like a rainstorm| من - from| السماء - the sky| فيه - in it (are)| ظلمات - darkness[es],| ورعد - and thunder,| وبرق - and lightning.| يجعلون - They put| أصابعهم - their fingers| في - in| آذانهم - their ears| من - from| الصواعق - the thunderclaps| حذر - (in) fear (of)| الموت - [the] death.| والله - And Allah| محيط - (is) [the One Who] encompasses| بالكافرين - the disbelievers.| | ||||||
| 2 [9:49] | Waminhum man yaqoolu i/than lee walataftinnee ala fee alfitnati saqatoo wa-innajahannama lamuheetatun bialkafireena | ومنهم من يقول ائذن لي ولا تفتني ألا في الفتنة سقطوا وإن جهنم لمحيطة بالكافرين وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَقُولُ ائْذَن لِّي وَلاَ تَفْتِنِّي أَلاَ فِي الْفِتْنَةِ سَقَطُواْ وَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمُحِيطَةٌ بِالْكَافِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ومنهم - And among them| من - (is he) who| يقول - says,| ائذن - "Grant me leave| لي - "Grant me leave| ولا - and (do) not| تفتني - put me to trial."| ألا - Surely,| في - in| الفتنة - the trial| سقطوا - they have fallen.| وإن - And indeed,| جهنم - Hell| لمحيطة - (will) surely surround| بالكافرين - the disbelievers.| | ||||||
| 3 [29:54] | YastaAAjiloonaka bialAAathabiwa-inna jahannama lamuheetatun bialkafireena | يستعجلونك بالعذاب وإن جهنم لمحيطة بالكافرين يَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ بِالْعَذَابِ وَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمُحِيطَةٌ بِالْكَافِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |يستعجلونك - They ask you to hasten| بالعذاب - the punishment.| وإن - And indeed,| جهنم - Hell,| لمحيطة - will surely, encompass| بالكافرين - the disbelievers| | ||||||
