| 1 [2:256] | La ikraha fee alddeeniqad tabayyana alrrushdu mina alghayyi faman yakfur bialttaghootiwayu/min biAllahi faqadi istamsaka bialAAurwatialwuthqa la infisama laha waAllahusameeAAun AAaleemun |  لا إكراه في الدين قد تبين الرشد من الغي فمن يكفر بالطاغوت ويؤمن بالله فقد استمسك بالعروة الوثقى لا انفصام لها والله سميع عليملاَ إِكْرَاهَ فِي الدِّينِ قَد تَّبَيَّنَ الرُّشْدُ مِنَ الْغَيِّ فَمَنْ يَكْفُرْ بِالطَّاغُوتِ وَيُؤْمِن بِاللّهِ فَقَدِ اسْتَمْسَكَ بِالْعُرْوَةِ الْوُثْقَىَ لاَ انفِصَامَ لَهَا وَاللّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |لا - (There is) no| إكراه - compulsion| في - in| الدين - the religion.| قد - Surely| تبين - has become distinct| الرشد - the right (path)| من - from| الغي - the wrong.| فمن - Then whoever| يكفر - disbelieves| بالطاغوت - in false deities| ويؤمن - and believes| بالله - in Allah,| فقد - then surely| استمسك - he grasped| بالعروة - the handhold -| الوثقى - [the] firm,| لا - (which) not| انفصام - (will) break| لها - [for it].| والله - And Allah| سميع - (is) All-Hearing,| عليم - All-Knowing.| | ||||||
| 2 [31:22] | Waman yuslim wajhahu ila Allahiwahuwa muhsinun faqadi istamsaka bialAAurwatialwuthqa wa-ila Allahi AAaqibatual-omoori | ومن يسلم وجهه إلى الله وهو محسن فقد استمسك بالعروة الوثقى وإلى الله عاقبة الأمور وَمَن يُسْلِمْ وَجْهَهُ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَهُوَ مُحْسِنٌ فَقَدِ اسْتَمْسَكَ بِالْعُرْوَةِ الْوُثْقَى وَإِلَى اللَّهِ عَاقِبَةُ الْأُمُورِ | |||||
| Words | |ومن - And whoever| يسلم - submits| وجهه - his face| إلى - to| الله - Allah| وهو - while he| محسن - (is) a good-doer,| فقد - then indeed,| استمسك - he has grasped| بالعروة - the handhold| الوثقى - the most trustworthy.| وإلى - And to| الله - Allah| عاقبة - (is the) end| الأمور - (of) the matters.| | ||||||
