| 1 [2:8] | Wamina alnnasi man yaqoolu amannabiAllahi wabialyawmi al-akhiri wamahum bimu/mineena |  ومن الناس من يقول آمنا بالله وباليوم الآخر وما هم بمؤمنينوَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَّقُولُ آمَنَّا بِاللّهِ وَبِالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ وَمَا هُم بِمُؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ومن - And of| الناس - the people| من - (are some) who| يقول - say,| آمنا - "We believed| بالله - in Allah| وباليوم - and in the Day| الآخر - [the] Last,"| وما - but not| هم - they| بمؤمنين - (are) believers (at all).| | ||||||
| 2 [2:13] | Wa-itha qeela lahum aminoo kamaamana alnnasu qaloo anu/minu kamaamana alssufahao ala innahum humu alssufahaowalakin la yaAAlamoona | وإذا قيل لهم آمنوا كما آمن الناس قالوا أنؤمن كما آمن السفهاء ألا إنهم هم السفهاء ولكن لا يعلمون وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ آمِنُواْ كَمَا آمَنَ النَّاسُ قَالُواْ أَنُؤْمِنُ كَمَا آمَنَ السُّفَهَاءُ أَلَا إِنَّهُمْ هُمُ السُّفَهَاءُ وَلَـكِن لاَّ يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| قيل - it is said| لهم - to them,| آمنوا - "Believe| كما - as| آمن - believed| الناس - the people,"| قالوا - they say,| أنؤمن - "Should we believe| كما - as| آمن - believed| السفهاء - the fools?"| ألا - Beware,| إنهم - certainly they| هم - themselves| السفهاء - (are) the fools| ولكن - [and] but| لا - not| يعلمون - they know.| | ||||||
| 3 [2:21] | Ya ayyuha alnnasuoAAbudoo rabbakumu allathee khalaqakum waallatheenamin qablikum laAAallakum tattaqoona | يا أيها الناس اعبدوا ربكم الذي خلقكم والذين من قبلكم لعلكم تتقون يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اعْبُدُواْ رَبَّكُمُ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ وَالَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ | |||||
| Words | |يا - O| أيها - O| الناس - mankind!| اعبدوا - worship| ربكم - your Lord,| الذي - the One Who| خلقكم - created you| والذين - and those| من - from| قبلكم - before you,| لعلكم - so that you may| تتقون - become righteous.| | ||||||
| 4 [2:24] | Fa-in lam tafAAaloo walan tafAAaloo faittaqooalnnara allatee waqooduha alnnasuwaalhijaratu oAAiddat lilkafireena | فإن لم تفعلوا ولن تفعلوا فاتقوا النار التي وقودها الناس والحجارة أعدت للكافرين فَإِن لَّمْ تَفْعَلُواْ وَلَن تَفْعَلُواْ فَاتَّقُواْ النَّارَ الَّتِي وَقُودُهَا النَّاسُ وَالْحِجَارَةُ أُعِدَّتْ لِلْكَافِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |فإن - But if| لم - not| تفعلوا - you do,| ولن - and never| تفعلوا - will you do,| فاتقوا - then fear| النار - the Fire| التي - whose| وقودها - [its] fuel| الناس - (is) [the] men| والحجارة - and [the] stones,| أعدت - prepared| للكافرين - for the disbelievers.| | ||||||
| 5 [2:44] | Ata/muroona alnnasa bialbirriwatansawna anfusakum waantum tatloona alkitaba afalataAAqiloona | أتأمرون الناس بالبر وتنسون أنفسكم وأنتم تتلون الكتاب أفلا تعقلون أَتَأْمُرُونَ النَّاسَ بِالْبِرِّ وَتَنْسَوْنَ أَنفُسَكُمْ وَأَنْـتُمْ تَتْلُونَ الْكِتَابَ أَفَلاَ تَعْقِلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |أتأمرون - Do you order| الناس - [the] people| بالبر - [the] righteousness| وتنسون - and you forget| أنفسكم - yourselves,| وأنتم - while you| تتلون - [you] recite| الكتاب - the Book?| أفلا - Then, will not| تعقلون - you use reason?| | ||||||
| 6 [2:94] | Qul in kanat lakumu alddarual-akhiratu AAinda Allahi khalisatanmin dooni alnnasi fatamannawoo almawta in kuntum sadiqeena | قل إن كانت لكم الدار الآخرة عند الله خالصة من دون الناس فتمنوا الموت إن كنتم صادقين قُلْ إِنْ كَانَتْ لَكُمُ الدَّارُ الْآخِرَةُ عِنْدَ اللّهِ خَالِصَةً مِّنْ دُونِ النَّاسِ فَتَمَنَّوُاْ الْمَوْتَ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ | |||||
| Words | |قل - Say,| إن - "If -| كانت - is| لكم - for you| الدار - the home| الآخرة - (of) the Hereafter| عند - with| الله - Allah| خالصة - exclusively,| من - from| دون - excluding| الناس - the mankind,| فتمنوا - then wish| الموت - (for) [the] death,| إن - if| كنتم - you are| صادقين - truthful."| | ||||||
| 7 [2:96] | Walatajidannahum ahrasa alnnasiAAala hayatin wamina allatheenaashrakoo yawaddu ahaduhum law yuAAammaru alfa sanatin wamahuwa bimuzahzihihi mina alAAathabi anyuAAammara waAllahu baseerun bimayaAAmaloona | ولتجدنهم أحرص الناس على حياة ومن الذين أشركوا يود أحدهم لو يعمر ألف سنة وما هو بمزحزحه من العذاب أن يعمر والله بصير بما يعملون وَلَتَجِدَنَّهُمْ أَحْرَصَ النَّاسِ عَلَى حَيَاةٍ وَمِنَ الَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُواْ يَوَدُّ أَحَدُهُمْ لَوْ يُعَمَّرُ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ وَمَا هُوَ بِمُزَحْزِحِهِ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ أَنْ يُّعَمَّرَ وَاللّهُ بَصِيرٌ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولتجدنهم - And surely you will find them| أحرص - (the) most greedy| الناس - (of) [the] mankind| على - for| حياة - life,| ومن - and (greedier) than| الذين - those who| أشركوا - associate[d] partners (with Allah).| يود - Loves| أحدهم - (each) one of them| لو - if| يعمر - he could be granted a life| ألف - (of) a thousand| سنة - year(s).| وما - But not| هو - it| بمزحزحه - (will) remove him| من - from| العذاب - the punishment| أن - that| يعمر - he should be granted life.| والله - And Allah| بصير - (is) All-Seer| بما - of what| يعملون - they do.| | ||||||
| 8 [2:102] | WaittabaAAoo ma tatloo alshshayateenuAAala mulki sulaymana wama kafara sulaymanuwalakinna alshshayateena kafarooyuAAallimoona alnnasa alssihra wamaonzila AAala almalakayni bibabila harootawamaroota wama yuAAallimani min ahadinhatta yaqoola innama nahnufitnatun fala takfur fayataAAallamoona minhuma mayufarriqoona bihi bayna almar-i wazawjihi wama hum bidarreenabihi min ahadin illa bi-ithni AllahiwayataAAallamoona ma yadurruhum walayanfaAAuhum walaqad AAalimoo lamani ishtarahu malahu fee al-akhirati min khalaqin walabi/sa masharaw bihi anfusahum law kanoo yaAAlamoona | واتبعوا ما تتلو الشياطين على ملك سليمان وما كفر سليمان ولكن الشياطين كفروا يعلمون الناس السحر وما أنزل على الملكين ببابل هاروت وماروت وما يعلمان من أحد حتى يقولا إنما نحن فتنة فلا تكفر فيتعلمون منهما ما يفرقون به بين المرء وزوجه وما هم بضارين به من أحد إلا بإذن الله ويتعلمون ما يضرهم ولا ينفعهم ولقد علموا لمن اشتراه ما له في الآخرة من خلاق ولبئس ما شروا به أنفسهم لو كانوا يعلمون وَاتَّبَعُواْ مَا تَتْلُواْ الشَّيَاطِينُ عَلَى مُلْكِ سُلَيْمَانَ وَمَا كَفَرَ سُلَيْمَانُ وَلَـكِنَّ الشَّيَاطِينَ كَفَرُواْ يُعَلِّمُونَ النَّاسَ السِّحْرَ وَمَا أُنزِلَ عَلَى الْمَلَكَيْنِ بِبَابِلَ هَارُوتَ وَمَارُوتَ وَمَا يُعَلِّمَانِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ حَتَّى يَقُولاَ إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ فِتْنَةٌ فَلاَ تَكْفُرْ فَيَتَعَلَّمُونَ مِنْهُمَا مَا يُفَرِّقُونَ بِهِ بَيْنَ الْمَرْءِ وَزَوْجِهِ وَمَا هُم بِضَآرِّينَ بِهِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِ اللّهِ وَيَتَعَلَّمُونَ مَا يَضُرُّهُمْ وَلاَ يَنفَعُهُمْ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمُواْ لَمَنِ اشْتَرَاهُ مَا لَهُ فِي الآخِرَةِ مِنْ خَلاَقٍ وَلَبِئْسَ مَا شَرَوْاْ بِهِ أَنفُسَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُواْ يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |واتبعوا - And they followed| ما - what| تتلو - recite(d)| الشياطين - the devils| على - over| ملك - (the) kingdom| سليمان - (of) Sulaiman.| وما - And not| كفر - disbelieved| سليمان - Sulaiman| ولكن - [and] but| الشياطين - the devils| كفروا - disbelieved,| يعلمون - they teach| الناس - the people| السحر - [the] magic| وما - and what| أنزل - was sent down| على - to| الملكين - the two angels| ببابل - in Babylon,| هاروت - Harut| وماروت - and Marut.| وما - And not| يعلمان - they both teach| من - any| أحد - one| حتى - unless| يقولا - they [both] say,| إنما - "Only| نحن - we| فتنة - (are) a trial,| فلا - so (do) not| تكفر - disbelieve."| فيتعلمون - But they learn| منهما - from those two| ما - what| يفرقون - [they] causes separation| به - with it| بين - between| المرء - the man| وزوجه - and his spouse.| وما - And not| هم - they (could)| بضارين - at all [be those who] harm| به - with it| من - any| أحد - one| إلا - except| بإذن - by permission| الله - (of) Allah.| ويتعلمون - And they learn| ما - what| يضرهم - harms them| ولا - and not| ينفعهم - profits them.| ولقد - And indeed| علموا - they knew| لمن - that whoever| اشتراه - buys it,| ما - not| له - for him| في - in| الآخرة - the Hereafter| من - any| خلاق - share.| ولبئس - And surely evil| ما - (is) what| شروا - they sold| به - with it| أنفسهم - themselves,| لو - if| كانوا - they were| يعلمون - (to) know.| | ||||||
| 9 [2:142] | Sayaqoolu alssufahao mina alnnasima wallahum AAan qiblatihimu allatee kanooAAalayha qul lillahi almashriqu waalmaghribuyahdee man yashao ila siratinmustaqeemin | سيقول السفهاء من الناس ما ولاهم عن قبلتهم التي كانوا عليها قل لله المشرق والمغرب يهدي من يشاء إلى صراط مستقيم سَيَقُولُ السُّفَهَاءُ مِنَ النَّاسِ مَا وَلاَّهُمْ عَن قِبْلَتِهِمُ الَّتِي كَانُواْ عَلَيْهَا قُل لِّلّهِ الْمَشْرِقُ وَالْمَغْرِبُ يَهْدِي مَن يَشَاءُ إِلَى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ | |||||
| Words | |سيقول - Will say| السفهاء - the foolish ones| من - from| الناس - the people,| ما - "What| ولاهم - (has) turned them| عن - from| قبلتهم - their direction of prayer| التي - which| كانوا - they were used to| عليها - [on it]."| قل - Say,| لله - "For Allah| المشرق - (is) the east| والمغرب - and the west.| يهدي - He guides| من - whom| يشاء - He wills| إلى - to| صراط - a path| مستقيم - straight."| | ||||||
| 10 [2:143] | Wakathalika jaAAalnakumommatan wasatan litakoonoo shuhadaa AAala alnnasiwayakoona alrrasoolu AAalaykum shaheedan wamajaAAalna alqiblata allatee kunta AAalayha illalinaAAlama man yattabiAAu alrrasoola mimman yanqalibu AAalaAAaqibayhi wa-in kanat lakabeeratan illa AAalaallatheena hada Allahu wama kanaAllahu liyudeeAAa eemanakum inna Allahabialnnasi laraoofun raheemun | وكذلك جعلناكم أمة وسطا لتكونوا شهداء على الناس ويكون الرسول عليكم شهيدا وما جعلنا القبلة التي كنت عليها إلا لنعلم من يتبع الرسول ممن ينقلب على عقبيه وإن كانت لكبيرة إلا على الذين هدى الله وما كان الله ليضيع إيمانكم إن الله بالناس لرءوف رحيم وَكَذَلِكَ جَعَلْنَاكُمْ أُمَّةً وَسَطًا لِّتَكُونُواْ شُهَدَاءَ عَلَى النَّاسِ وَيَكُونَ الرَّسُولُ عَلَيْكُمْ شَهِيدًا وَمَا جَعَلْنَا الْقِبْلَةَ الَّتِي كُنتَ عَلَيْهَا إِلاَّ لِنَعْلَمَ مَن يَتَّبِعُ الرَّسُولَ مِمَّن يَنقَلِبُ عَلَى عَقِبَيْهِ وَإِن كَانَتْ لَكَبِيرَةً إِلاَّ عَلَى الَّذِينَ هَدَى اللّهُ وَمَا كَانَ اللّهُ لِيُضِيعَ إِيمَانَكُمْ إِنَّ اللّهَ بِالنَّاسِ لَرَؤُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |وكذلك - And thus| جعلناكم - We made you| أمة - a community| وسطا - (of the) middle way| لتكونوا - so that you will be| شهداء - witnesses| على - over| الناس - the mankind,| ويكون - and will be| الرسول - the Messenger| عليكم - on you| شهيدا - a witness.| وما - And not| جعلنا - We made| القبلة - the direction of prayer| التي - which| كنت - you were used to| عليها - [on it]| إلا - except| لنعلم - that We make evident| من - (he) who| يتبع - follows| الرسول - the Messenger| ممن - from (he) who| ينقلب - turns back| على - on| عقبيه - his heels.| وإن - And indeed,| كانت - it was| لكبيرة - certainly a great (test)| إلا - except| على - for| الذين - those whom| هدى - guided| الله - (by) Allah.| وما - And not| كان - will| الله - Allah| ليضيع - let go waste| إيمانكم - your faith.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| بالناس - (is) to [the] mankind| لرءوف - Full of Kindness,| رحيم - Most Merciful.| | ||||||
| 11 [2:164] | Inna fee khalqi alssamawatiwaal-ardi waikhtilafi allayli waalnnahariwaalfulki allatee tajree fee albahri bimayanfaAAu alnnasa wama anzala Allahumina alssama-i min ma-in faahyabihi al-arda baAAda mawtiha wabaththa feehamin kulli dabbatin watasreefi alrriyahiwaalssahabi almusakhkhari bayna alssama-iwaal-ardi laayatin liqawminyaAAqiloona | إن في خلق السماوات والأرض واختلاف الليل والنهار والفلك التي تجري في البحر بما ينفع الناس وما أنزل الله من السماء من ماء فأحيا به الأرض بعد موتها وبث فيها من كل دابة وتصريف الرياح والسحاب المسخر بين السماء والأرض لآيات لقوم يعقلون إِنَّ فِي خَلْقِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَاخْتِلاَفِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَالْفُلْكِ الَّتِي تَجْرِي فِي الْبَحْرِ بِمَا يَنفَعُ النَّاسَ وَمَا أَنزَلَ اللّهُ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مِن مَّاءٍ فَأَحْيَا بِهِ الْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا وَبَثَّ فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ دَآبَّةٍ وَتَصْرِيفِ الرِّيَاحِ وَالسَّحَابِ الْمُسَخِّرِ بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالأَرْضِ لَآيَاتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |إن - Indeed,| في - in| خلق - (the) creation| السماوات - (of) the heavens| والأرض - and the earth,| واختلاف - and alternation| الليل - of the night| والنهار - and the day,| والفلك - and the ships| التي - which| تجري - sail| في - in| البحر - the sea| بما - with what| ينفع - benefits| الناس - [the] people,| وما - and what| أنزل - (has) sent down| الله - Allah| من - from| السماء - the sky| من - [of]| ماء - water,| فأحيا - giving life| به - thereby| الأرض - (to) the earth| بعد - after| موتها - its death,| وبث - and dispersing| فيها - therein| من - [of]| كل - every| دابة - moving creature,| وتصريف - and directing| الرياح - (of) the winds| والسحاب - and the clouds| المسخر - [the] controlled| بين - between| السماء - the sky| والأرض - and the earth,| لآيات - surely (are) Signs| لقوم - for a people| يعقلون - who use their intellect.| | ||||||
| 12 [2:165] | Wamina alnnasi man yattakhithumin dooni Allahi andadan yuhibboonahum kahubbiAllahi waallatheena amanoo ashaddu hubbanlillahi walaw yara allatheena thalamooith yarawna alAAathaba anna alquwwata lillahijameeAAan waanna Allaha shadeedu alAAathabi | ومن الناس من يتخذ من دون الله أندادا يحبونهم كحب الله والذين آمنوا أشد حبا لله ولو يرى الذين ظلموا إذ يرون العذاب أن القوة لله جميعا وأن الله شديد العذاب وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَن يَتَّخِذُ مِن دُونِ اللّهِ أَندَاداً يُحِبُّونَهُمْ كَحُبِّ اللّهِ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ أَشَدُّ حُبًّا لِّلّهِ وَلَوْ يَرَى الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ إِذْ يَرَوْنَ الْعَذَابَ أَنَّ الْقُوَّةَ لِلّهِ جَمِيعاً وَأَنَّ اللّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعَذَابِ | |||||
| Words | |ومن - And among| الناس - the mankind| من - who| يتخذ - takes| من - from| دون - besides| الله - Allah| أندادا - equals.| يحبونهم - They love them| كحب - as (they should) love| الله - Allah.| والذين - And those who| آمنوا - believe[d]| أشد - (are) stronger| حبا - (in) love| لله - for Allah.| ولو - And if| يرى - would see| الذين - those who| ظلموا - wronged,| إذ - when| يرون - they will see| العذاب - the punishment| أن - that| القوة - the power| لله - (belongs) to Allah| جميعا - all| وأن - and [that]| الله - Allah| شديد - (is) severe| العذاب - (in) [the] punishment.| | ||||||
| 13 [2:168] | Ya ayyuha alnnasukuloo mimma fee al-ardi halalan tayyibanwala tattabiAAoo khutuwati alshshaytaniinnahu lakum AAaduwwun mubeenun | يا أيها الناس كلوا مما في الأرض حلالا طيبا ولا تتبعوا خطوات الشيطان إنه لكم عدو مبين يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ كُلُواْ مِمَّا فِي الأَرْضِ حَلاَلاً طَيِّباً وَلاَ تَتَّبِعُواْ خُطُوَاتِ الشَّيْطَانِ إِنَّهُ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِينٌ | |||||
| Words | |يا - O| أيها - O| الناس - mankind!| كلوا - Eat| مما - of what| في - (is) in| الأرض - the earth| حلالا - lawful| طيبا - (and) good.| ولا - And (do) not| تتبعوا - follow| خطوات - (the) footsteps (of)| الشيطان - the Shaitaan.| إنه - Indeed, he| لكم - (is) to you| عدو - an enemy| مبين - clear.| | ||||||
| 14 [2:188] | Wala ta/kuloo amwalakumbaynakum bialbatili watudloo biha ilaalhukkami lita/kuloo fareeqan min amwali alnnasibial-ithmi waantum taAAlamoona | ولا تأكلوا أموالكم بينكم بالباطل وتدلوا بها إلى الحكام لتأكلوا فريقا من أموال الناس بالإثم وأنتم تعلمون وَلاَ تَأْكُلُواْ أَمْوَالَكُم بَيْنَكُم بِالْبَاطِلِ وَتُدْلُواْ بِهَا إِلَى الْحُكَّامِ لِتَأْكُلُواْ فَرِيقًا مِّنْ أَمْوَالِ النَّاسِ بِالْإِثْمِ وَأَنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولا - And (do) not| تأكلوا - eat| أموالكم - your properties| بينكم - among yourselves| بالباطل - wrongfully| وتدلوا - and present| بها - [with] it| إلى - to| الحكام - the authorities| لتأكلوا - so that you may eat| فريقا - a portion| من - from| أموال - (the) wealth| الناس - (of) the people| بالإثم - sinfully| وأنتم - while you| تعلمون - know.| | ||||||
| 15 [2:199] | Thumma afeedoo min haythu afadaalnnasu waistaghfiroo Allaha inna Allahaghafoorun raheemun | ثم أفيضوا من حيث أفاض الناس واستغفروا الله إن الله غفور رحيم ثُمَّ أَفِيضُواْ مِنْ حَيْثُ أَفَاضَ النَّاسُ وَاسْتَغْفِرُواْ اللّهَ إِنَّ اللّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |ثم - Then| أفيضوا - depart| من - from| حيث - wherever| أفاض - depart| الناس - the people| واستغفروا - and ask forgiveness| الله - (of) Allah.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| غفور - (is) Oft-Forgiving,| رحيم - Most Merciful.| | ||||||
| 16 [2:200] | Fa-itha qadaytum manasikakumfaothkuroo Allaha kathikrikum abaakumaw ashadda thikran famina alnnasi manyaqoolu rabbana atina fee alddunyawama lahu fee al-akhirati min khalaqin | فإذا قضيتم مناسككم فاذكروا الله كذكركم آباءكم أو أشد ذكرا فمن الناس من يقول ربنا آتنا في الدنيا وما له في الآخرة من خلاق فَإِذَا قَضَيْتُم مَّنَاسِكَكُمْ فَاذْكُرُواْ اللّهَ كَذِكْرِكُمْ آبَاءَكُمْ أَوْ أَشَدَّ ذِكْرًا فَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَن يَقُولُ رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَمَا لَهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ مِنْ خَلاَقٍ | |||||
| Words | |فإذا - Then when| قضيتم - you complete[d]| مناسككم - your acts of worship| فاذكروا - then remember| الله - Allah| كذكركم - as you remember| آباءكم - your forefathers| أو - or| أشد - (with) greater| ذكرا - remembrance.| فمن - And from| الناس - the people| من - who| يقول - say,| ربنا - "Our Lord!| آتنا - Grant us| في - in| الدنيا - the world."| وما - And not| له - for him| في - in| الآخرة - the Hereafter| من - [of]| خلاق - any share.| | ||||||
| 17 [2:204] | Wamina alnnasi man yuAAjibukaqawluhu fee alhayati alddunyawayushhidu Allaha AAala ma fee qalbihiwahuwa aladdu alkhisami | ومن الناس من يعجبك قوله في الحياة الدنيا ويشهد الله على ما في قلبه وهو ألد الخصام وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَن يُعْجِبُكَ قَوْلُهُ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَيُشْهِدُ اللّهَ عَلَى مَا فِي قَلْبِهِ وَهُوَ أَلَدُّ الْخِصَامِ | |||||
| Words | |ومن - And of| الناس - the people| من - (is the one) who| يعجبك - pleases you| قوله - (with) his speech| في - in| الحياة - the life| الدنيا - (of) the world,| ويشهد - and he calls to witness| الله - Allah| على - on| ما - what| في - (is) in| قلبه - his heart,| وهو - and he| ألد - (is) the most quarrelsome| الخصام - (of) opponents.| | ||||||
| 18 [2:207] | Wamina alnnasi man yashreenafsahu ibtighaa mardati Allahi waAllahuraoofun bialAAibadi | ومن الناس من يشري نفسه ابتغاء مرضات الله والله رءوف بالعباد وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَن يَشْرِي نَفْسَهُ ابْتِغَاءَ مَرْضَاتِ اللّهِ وَاللّهُ رَؤُوفٌ بِالْعِبَادِ | |||||
| Words | |ومن - And of| الناس - the people| من - (is the one) who| يشري - sells| نفسه - his own self| ابتغاء - seeking| مرضات - pleasure| الله - (of) Allah.| والله - And Allah| رءوف - (is) full of Kindness| بالعباد - to His servants.| | ||||||
| 19 [2:213] | Kana alnnasu ommatan wahidatanfabaAAatha Allahu alnnabiyyeena mubashshireenawamunthireena waanzala maAAahumu alkitaba bialhaqqiliyahkuma bayna alnnasi feemaikhtalafoo feehi wama ikhtalafa feehi illa allatheenaootoohu min baAAdi ma jaat-humu albayyinatubaghyan baynahum fahada Allahu allatheena amanoolima ikhtalafoo feehi mina alhaqqi bi-ithnihiwaAllahu yahdee man yashao ila siratinmustaqeemin | كان الناس أمة واحدة فبعث الله النبيين مبشرين ومنذرين وأنزل معهم الكتاب بالحق ليحكم بين الناس فيما اختلفوا فيه وما اختلف فيه إلا الذين أوتوه من بعد ما جاءتهم البينات بغيا بينهم فهدى الله الذين آمنوا لما اختلفوا فيه من الحق بإذنه والله يهدي من يشاء إلى صراط مستقيم كَانَ النَّاسُ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً فَبَعَثَ اللّهُ النَّبِيِّينَ مُبَشِّرِينَ وَمُنذِرِينَ وَأَنزَلَ مَعَهُمُ الْكِتَابَ بِالْحَقِّ لِيَحْكُمَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ فِيمَا اخْتَلَفُواْ فِيهِ وَمَا اخْتَلَفَ فِيهِ إِلاَّ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوهُ مِن بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَتْهُمُ الْبَيِّنَاتُ بَغْيًا بَيْنَهُمْ فَهَدَى اللّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ لِمَا اخْتَلَفُواْ فِيهِ مِنَ الْحَقِّ بِإِذْنِهِ وَاللّهُ يَهْدِي مَن يَشَاءُ إِلَى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ | |||||
| Words | |كان - Was| الناس - mankind| أمة - a community| واحدة - single,| فبعث - then raised up| الله - Allah| النبيين - [the] Prophets| مبشرين - (as) bearers of glad tidings| ومنذرين - and (as) warners,| وأنزل - and sent down| معهم - with them| الكتاب - the Book| بالحق - in [the] truth| ليحكم - to judge| بين - between| الناس - [the] people| فيما - in what| اختلفوا - they differed| فيه - [in it].| وما - And (did) not| اختلف - differ[ed]| فيه - in it| إلا - except| الذين - those who| أوتوه - were given it| من - from| بعد - after| ما - [what]| جاءتهم - came to them| البينات - the clear proofs,| بغيا - (out of) jealousy| بينهم - among themselves.| فهدى - And guided| الله - Allah| الذين - those who| آمنوا - believe[d]| لما - regarding what| اختلفوا - they differed| فيه - [in it]| من - of| الحق - the Truth| بإذنه - with His permission.| والله - And Allah| يهدي - guides| من - whom| يشاء - He wills| إلى - to| صراط - a path| مستقيم - straight.| | ||||||
| 20 [2:224] | Wala tajAAaloo Allaha AAurdatanli-aymanikum an tabarroo watattaqoo watuslihoobayna alnnasi waAllahu sameeAAunAAaleemun | ولا تجعلوا الله عرضة لأيمانكم أن تبروا وتتقوا وتصلحوا بين الناس والله سميع عليم وَلاَ تَجْعَلُواْ اللّهَ عُرْضَةً لِّأَيْمَانِكُمْ أَن تَبَرُّواْ وَتَتَّقُواْ وَتُصْلِحُواْ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ وَاللّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ | |||||
