| 1 [2:125] | Wa-ith jaAAalna albayta mathabatanlilnnasi waamnan waittakhithoo minmaqami ibraheema musallan waAAahidnaila ibraheema wa-ismaAAeela an tahhirabaytiya liltta-ifeena waalAAakifeenawaalrrukkaAAi alssujoodi |  وإذ جعلنا البيت مثابة للناس وأمنا واتخذوا من مقام إبراهيم مصلى وعهدنا إلى إبراهيم وإسماعيل أن طهرا بيتي للطائفين والعاكفين والركع السجودوَإِذْ جَعَلْنَا الْبَيْتَ مَثَابَةً لِّلنَّاسِ وَأَمْناً وَاتَّخِذُواْ مِن مَّقَامِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مُصَلًّى وَعَهِدْنَا إِلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ أَن طَهِّرَا بَيْتِيَ لِلطَّائِفِينَ وَالْعَاكِفِينَ وَالرُّكَّعِ السُّجُودِ | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| جعلنا - We made| البيت - the House| مثابة - a place of return| للناس - for mankind| وأمنا - and (a place of) security| واتخذوا - and (said), "Take| من - [from]| مقام - (the) standing place| إبراهيم - (of) Ibrahim,| مصلى - (as) a place of prayer."| وعهدنا - And We made a covenant| إلى - with| إبراهيم - Ibrahim| وإسماعيل - and Ishmael| أن - [that],| طهرا - "[You both] purify| بيتي - My House| للطائفين - for those who circumambulate| والعاكفين - and those who seclude themselves for devotion and prayer| والركع - and those who bow down| السجود - and those who prostrate."| | ||||||
| 2 [22:26] | Wa-ith bawwa/na li-ibraheemamakana albayti an la tushrik bee shay-an watahhirbaytiya liltta-ifeena waalqa-imeenawaalrrukkaAAi alssujoodi | وإذ بوأنا لإبراهيم مكان البيت أن لا تشرك بي شيئا وطهر بيتي للطائفين والقائمين والركع السجود وَإِذْ بَوَّأْنَا لِإِبْرَاهِيمَ مَكَانَ الْبَيْتِ أَن لَّا تُشْرِكْ بِي شَيْئًا وَطَهِّرْ بَيْتِيَ لِلطَّائِفِينَ وَالْقَائِمِينَ وَالرُّكَّعِ السُّجُودِ | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| بوأنا - We assigned| لإبراهيم - to Ibrahim| مكان - (the) site| البيت - (of) the House,| أن - "That| لا - (do) not| تشرك - associate| بي - with Me| شيئا - anything| وطهر - and purify| بيتي - My House| للطائفين - for those who circumambulate| والقائمين - and those who stand| والركع - and those who bow,| السجود - (and) those who prostrate.| | ||||||
| 3 [48:29] | Muhammadun rasoolu Allahi waallatheenamaAAahu ashiddao AAala alkuffari ruhamaobaynahum tarahum rukkaAAan sujjadan yabtaghoona fadlanmina Allahi waridwanan seemahum feewujoohihim min athari alssujoodi thalika mathaluhumfee alttawrati wamathaluhum fee al-injeelikazarAAin akhraja shat-ahu faazarahu faistaghlathafaistawa AAala sooqihi yuAAjibu alzzurraAAaliyagheetha bihimu alkuffara waAAada Allahuallatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihatiminhum maghfiratan waajran AAatheeman | محمد رسول الله والذين معه أشداء على الكفار رحماء بينهم تراهم ركعا سجدا يبتغون فضلا من الله ورضوانا سيماهم في وجوههم من أثر السجود ذلك مثلهم في التوراة ومثلهم في الإنجيل كزرع أخرج شطأه فآزره فاستغلظ فاستوى على سوقه يعجب الزراع ليغيظ بهم الكفار وعد الله الذين آمنوا وعملوا الصالحات منهم مغفرة وأجرا عظيما مُّحَمَّدٌ رَّسُولُ اللَّهِ وَالَّذِينَ مَعَهُ أَشِدَّاءُ عَلَى الْكُفَّارِ رُحَمَاءُ بَيْنَهُمْ تَرَاهُمْ رُكَّعًا سُجَّدًا يَبْتَغُونَ فَضْلًا مِّنَ اللَّهِ وَرِضْوَانًا سِيمَاهُمْ فِي وُجُوهِهِم مِّنْ أَثَرِ السُّجُودِ ذَلِكَ مَثَلُهُمْ فِي التَّوْرَاةِ وَمَثَلُهُمْ فِي الْإِنجِيلِ كَزَرْعٍ أَخْرَجَ شَطْأَهُ فَآزَرَهُ فَاسْتَغْلَظَ فَاسْتَوَى عَلَى سُوقِهِ يُعْجِبُ الزُّرَّاعَ لِيَغِيظَ بِهِمُ الْكُفَّارَ وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ مِنْهُم مَّغْفِرَةً وَأَجْرًا عَظِيمًا | |||||
| Words | |محمد - Muhammad| رسول - (is the) Messenger of Allah,| الله - (is the) Messenger of Allah,| والذين - and those who| معه - (are) with him| أشداء - (are) firm| على - against| الكفار - the disbelievers| رحماء - and merciful| بينهم - among themselves.| تراهم - You see them| ركعا - bowing| سجدا - and prostrating,| يبتغون - seeking| فضلا - Bounty| من - from Allah| الله - from Allah| ورضوانا - and pleasure.| سيماهم - Their mark| في - (is) on| وجوههم - their faces| من - from| أثر - (the) trace| السجود - (of) the prostration.| ذلك - That| مثلهم - (is) their similitude| في - in| التوراة - the Taurah.| ومثلهم - And their similitude| في - in| الإنجيل - the Injeel,| كزرع - (is) like a seed| أخرج - (which) sends forth| شطأه - its shoot| فآزره - then strengthens it,| فاستغلظ - then it becomes thick| فاستوى - and it stands| على - upon| سوقه - its stem| يعجب - delighting| الزراع - the sowers| ليغيظ - that He (may) enrage| بهم - by them| الكفار - the disbelievers.| وعد - Allah has promised| الله - Allah has promised| الذين - those who| آمنوا - believe| وعملوا - and do| الصالحات - righteous deeds| منهم - among them,| مغفرة - forgiveness| وأجرا - and a reward| عظيما - great.| | ||||||
| 4 [50:40] | Wamina allayli fasabbihhu waadbaraalssujoodi | ومن الليل فسبحه وأدبار السجود وَمِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْهُ وَأَدْبَارَ السُّجُودِ | |||||
| Words | |ومن - And of| الليل - the night| فسبحه - glorify Him| وأدبار - and after| السجود - the prostration.| | ||||||
| 5 [68:42] | Yawma yukshafu AAan saqin wayudAAawnaila alssujoodi fala yastateeAAoona | يوم يكشف عن ساق ويدعون إلى السجود فلا يستطيعون يَوْمَ يُكْشَفُ عَن سَاقٍ وَيُدْعَوْنَ إِلَى السُّجُودِ فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |يوم - (The) Day| يكشف - will be uncovered| عن - from| ساق - the shin| ويدعون - and they will be called| إلى - to| السجود - prostrate,| فلا - but not| يستطيعون - they will be able,| | ||||||
| 6 [68:43] | KhashiAAatan absaruhumtarhaquhum thillatun waqad kanoo yudAAawna ilaalssujoodi wahum salimoona | خاشعة أبصارهم ترهقهم ذلة وقد كانوا يدعون إلى السجود وهم سالمون خَاشِعَةً أَبْصَارُهُمْ تَرْهَقُهُمْ ذِلَّةٌ وَقَدْ كَانُوا يُدْعَوْنَ إِلَى السُّجُودِ وَهُمْ سَالِمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |خاشعة - Humbled,| أبصارهم - their eyes,| ترهقهم - will cover them| ذلة - humiliation.| وقد - And indeed,| كانوا - they were| يدعون - called| إلى - to| السجود - prostrate| وهم - while they| سالمون - (were) sound.| | ||||||
