| 1 [5:2] | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoola tuhilloo shaAAa-ira Allahi walaalshshahra alharama wala alhadya walaalqala-ida wala ammeena albayta alharamayabtaghoona fadlan min rabbihim waridwananwa-itha halaltum faistadoo walayajrimannakum shanaanu qawmin an saddookum AAanialmasjidi alharami an taAAtadoo wataAAawanooAAala albirri waalttaqwa wala taAAawanooAAala al-ithmi waalAAudwani waittaqooAllaha inna Allaha shadeedu alAAiqabi |  يا أيها الذين آمنوا لا تحلوا شعائر الله ولا الشهر الحرام ولا الهدي ولا القلائد ولا آمين البيت الحرام يبتغون فضلا من ربهم ورضوانا وإذا حللتم فاصطادوا ولا يجرمنكم شنآن قوم أن صدوكم عن المسجد الحرام أن تعتدوا وتعاونوا على البر والتقوى ولا تعاونوا على الإثم والعدوان واتقوا الله إن الله شديد العقابيَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ لاَ تُحِلُّواْ شَعَآئِرَ اللّهِ وَلاَ الشَّهْرَ الْحَرَامَ وَلاَ الْهَدْيَ وَلاَ الْقَلآئِدَ وَلاَ آمِّينَ الْبَيْتَ الْحَرَامَ يَبْتَغُونَ فَضْلاً مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ وَرِضْوَانًا وَإِذَا حَلَلْتُمْ فَاصْطَادُواْ وَلاَ يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ شَنَآنُ قَوْمٍ أَن صَدُّوكُمْ عَنِ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ أَن تَعْتَدُواْ وَتَعَاوَنُواْ عَلَى الْـبِـرِّ وَالتَّقْوَى وَلاَ تَعَاوَنُواْ عَلَى الْإِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ وَاتَّقُواْ اللّهَ إِنَّ اللّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ | |||||
| Words | |يا - O| أيها - O| الذين - you (who)| آمنوا - believe!| لا - (Do) not| تحلوا - violate| شعائر - (the) rites| الله - (of) Allah,| ولا - and not| الشهر - the month,| الحرام - the sacred,| ولا - and not| الهدي - the sacrificial animals| ولا - and not| القلائد - the garlanded| ولا - and not| آمين - (those) coming| البيت - (to) the House,| الحرام - the Sacred,| يبتغون - seeking| فضلا - Bounty| من - of| ربهم - their Lord| ورضوانا - and good pleasure.| وإذا - And when| حللتم - you come out of Ihram| فاصطادوا - then (you may) hunt.| ولا - And let not| يجرمنكم - incite you| شنآن - (the) hatred| قوم - (for) a people| أن - as| صدوكم - they stopped you| عن - from| المسجد - Al-Masjid| الحرام - Al-Haraam| أن - that| تعتدوا - you commit transgression.| وتعاونوا - And help one another| على - in| البر - [the] righteousness| والتقوى - and [the] piety,| ولا - but (do) not| تعاونوا - help one another| على - in| الإثم - [the] sin| والعدوان - and [the] transgression.| واتقوا - And fear| الله - Allah;| إن - indeed,| الله - Allah| شديد - (is) severe| العقاب - (in) [the] punishment.| | ||||||
| 2 [5:62] | Watara katheeran minhum yusariAAoonafee al-ithmi waalAAudwani waaklihimu alssuhtalabi/sa ma kanoo yaAAmaloona | وترى كثيرا منهم يسارعون في الإثم والعدوان وأكلهم السحت لبئس ما كانوا يعملون وَتَرَى كَثِيرًا مِّنْهُمْ يُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْإِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ وَأَكْلِهِمُ السُّحْتَ لَبِئْسَ مَا كَانُواْ يَعْمَلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وترى - And you see| كثيرا - many| منهم - of them| يسارعون - hastening| في - into| الإثم - [the] sin| والعدوان - and [the] transgression| وأكلهم - and eating| السحت - the forbidden.| لبئس - Surely evil| ما - (is) what| كانوا - they were| يعملون - doing.| | ||||||
| 3 [5:63] | Lawla yanhahumu alrrabbaniyyoonawaal-ahbaru AAan qawlihimu al-ithmawaaklihimu alssuhta labi/sa ma kanooyasnaAAoona | لولا ينهاهم الربانيون والأحبار عن قولهم الإثم وأكلهم السحت لبئس ما كانوا يصنعون لَوْلاَ يَنْهَاهُمُ الرَّبَّانِيُّونَ وَالْأَحْبَارُ عَن قَوْلِهِمُ الْإِثْمَ وَأَكْلِهِمُ السُّحْتَ لَبِئْسَ مَا كَانُواْ يَصْنَعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |لولا - Why (do) not| ينهاهم - forbid them,| الربانيون - the Rabbis| والأحبار - and the religious scholars| عن - from| قولهم - their saying| الإثم - the sinful| وأكلهم - and their eating| السحت - (of) the forbidden?| لبئس - Surely, evil| ما - (is) what| كانوا - they used to| يصنعون - do.| | ||||||
| 4 [6:120] | Watharoo thahiraal-ithmi wabatinahu inna allatheena yaksiboonaal-ithma sayujzawna bima kanoo yaqtarifoona | وذروا ظاهر الإثم وباطنه إن الذين يكسبون الإثم سيجزون بما كانوا يقترفون وَذَرُواْ ظَاهِرَ الْإِثْمِ وَبَاطِنَهُ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَكْسِبُونَ الْإِثْمَ سَيُجْزَوْنَ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَقْتَرِفُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وذروا - Forsake| ظاهر - open| الإثم - [the] sins| وباطنه - and the secret.| إن - Indeed,| الذين - those who| يكسبون - earn| الإثم - [the] sin| سيجزون - they will be recompensed| بما - for what| كانوا - they used to| يقترفون - commit.| | ||||||
| 5 [24:11] | Inna allatheena jaoo bial-ifkiAAusbatun minkum la tahsaboohu sharran lakumbal huwa khayrun lakum likulli imri-in minhum ma iktasabamina al-ithmi waallathee tawalla kibrahuminhum lahu AAathabun AAatheemun | إن الذين جاءوا بالإفك عصبة منكم لا تحسبوه شرا لكم بل هو خير لكم لكل امرئ منهم ما اكتسب من الإثم والذي تولى كبره منهم له عذاب عظيم إِنَّ الَّذِينَ جَاؤُوا بِالْإِفْكِ عُصْبَةٌ مِّنكُمْ لَا تَحْسَبُوهُ شَرًّا لَّكُم بَلْ هُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ لِكُلِّ امْرِئٍ مِّنْهُم مَّا اكْتَسَبَ مِنَ الْإِثْمِ وَالَّذِي تَوَلَّى كِبْرَهُ مِنْهُمْ لَهُ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |إن - Indeed,| الذين - those who| جاءوا - brought| بالإفك - the lie| عصبة - (are) a group| منكم - among you.| لا - (Do) not| تحسبوه - think it| شرا - bad| لكم - for you;| بل - nay,| هو - it| خير - (is) good| لكم - for you.| لكل - For every| امرئ - person| منهم - among them| ما - (is) what| اكتسب - he earned| من - of| الإثم - the sin,| والذي - and the one who| تولى - took upon himself a greater share of it| كبره - took upon himself a greater share of it| منهم - among them -| له - for him| عذاب - (is) a punishment| عظيم - great.| | ||||||
| 6 [42:37] | Waallatheena yajtaniboona kaba-iraal-ithmi waalfawahisha wa-itha ma ghadiboohum yaghfiroona | والذين يجتنبون كبائر الإثم والفواحش وإذا ما غضبوا هم يغفرون وَالَّذِينَ يَجْتَنِبُونَ كَبَائِرَ الْإِثْمِ وَالْفَوَاحِشَ وَإِذَا مَا غَضِبُوا هُمْ يَغْفِرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |والذين - And those who| يجتنبون - avoid| كبائر - (the) greater| الإثم - sins| والفواحش - and the immoralities,| وإذا - and when| ما - and when| غضبوا - they are angry,| هم - they| يغفرون - forgive,| | ||||||
| 7 [53:32] | Allatheena yajtaniboona kaba-iraal-ithmi waalfawahisha illa allamama innarabbaka wasiAAu almaghfirati huwa aAAlamu bikum ithanshaakum mina al-ardi wa-ith antum ajinnatun feebutooni ommahatikum fala tuzakkoo anfusakumhuwa aAAlamu bimani ittaqa | الذين يجتنبون كبائر الإثم والفواحش إلا اللمم إن ربك واسع المغفرة هو أعلم بكم إذ أنشأكم من الأرض وإذ أنتم أجنة في بطون أمهاتكم فلا تزكوا أنفسكم هو أعلم بمن اتقى الَّذِينَ يَجْتَنِبُونَ كَبَائِرَ الْإِثْمِ وَالْفَوَاحِشَ إِلَّا اللَّمَمَ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ وَاسِعُ الْمَغْفِرَةِ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِكُمْ إِذْ أَنشَأَكُم مِّنَ الْأَرْضِ وَإِذْ أَنتُمْ أَجِنَّةٌ فِي بُطُونِ أُمَّهَاتِكُمْ فَلَا تُزَكُّوا أَنفُسَكُمْ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنِ اتَّقَى | |||||
| Words | |الذين - Those who| يجتنبون - avoid| كبائر - great| الإثم - sins| والفواحش - and the immoralities| إلا - except| اللمم - the small faults;| إن - indeed,| ربك - your Lord| واسع - (is) vast| المغفرة - (in) forgiveness.| هو - He| أعلم - (is) most knowing about you| بكم - (is) most knowing about you| إذ - when| أنشأكم - He produced you| من - from| الأرض - the earth| وإذ - and when| أنتم - you (were)| أجنة - fetuses| في - in| بطون - (the) wombs| أمهاتكم - (of) your mothers.| فلا - So (do) not| تزكوا - ascribe purity| أنفسكم - (to) yourselves.| هو - He| أعلم - knows best| بمن - (he) who| اتقى - fears.| | ||||||
