| 1 [20:108] | Yawma-ithin yattabiAAoona alddaAAiyala AAiwaja lahu wakhashaAAati al-aswatu lilrrahmanifala tasmaAAu illa hamsan |  يومئذ يتبعون الداعي لا عوج له وخشعت الأصوات للرحمن فلا تسمع إلا همسايَوْمَئِذٍ يَتَّبِعُونَ الدَّاعِيَ لَا عِوَجَ لَهُ وَخَشَعَتِ الْأَصْوَاتُ لِلرَّحْمَنِ فَلَا تَسْمَعُ إِلَّا هَمْسًا | |||||
| Words | |يومئذ - On that Day| يتبعون - they will follow| الداعي - the caller,| لا - no| عوج - deviation| له - from it.| وخشعت - And (will be) humbled| الأصوات - the voices| للرحمن - for the Most Gracious,| فلا - so not| تسمع - you will hear| إلا - except| همسا - a faint sound.| | ||||||
| 2 [31:19] | Waiqsid fee mashyika waoghdudmin sawtika inna ankara al-aswati lasawtualhameeri | واقصد في مشيك واغضض من صوتك إن أنكر الأصوات لصوت الحمير وَاقْصِدْ فِي مَشْيِكَ وَاغْضُضْ مِن صَوْتِكَ إِنَّ أَنكَرَ الْأَصْوَاتِ لَصَوْتُ الْحَمِيرِ | |||||
| Words | |واقصد - And be moderate| في - in| مشيك - your pace| واغضض - and lower| من - [of]| صوتك - your voice.| إن - Indeed,| أنكر - (the) harshest| الأصوات - (of all) sounds| لصوت - (is) surely (the) voice| الحمير - (of) the donkeys."| | ||||||
