| 1 [3:111] | Lan yadurrookum illa athanwa-in yuqatilookum yuwallookumu al-adbara thumma layunsaroona |  لن يضروكم إلا أذى وإن يقاتلوكم يولوكم الأدبار ثم لا ينصرونلَن يَضُرُّوكُمْ إِلاَّ أَذًى وَإِن يُقَاتِلُوكُمْ يُوَلُّوكُمُ الْأَدْبَارَ ثُمَّ لاَ يُنصَرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |لن - Never| يضروكم - will they harm you| إلا - except| أذى - a hurt.| وإن - And if| يقاتلوكم - they fight you,| يولوكم - they will turn (towards) you| الأدبار - the backs,| ثم - then| لا - not| ينصرون - they will be helped.| | ||||||
| 2 [8:15] | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanooitha laqeetumu allatheena kafaroo zahfan falatuwalloohumu al-adbara | يا أيها الذين آمنوا إذا لقيتم الذين كفروا زحفا فلا تولوهم الأدبار يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ إِذَا لَقِيتُمُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ زَحْفاً فَلاَ تُوَلُّوهُمُ الْأَدْبَارَ | |||||
| Words | |يا - O| أيها - O you| الذين - who| آمنوا - believe!| إذا - When| لقيتم - you meet| الذين - those who| كفروا - disbelieve| زحفا - advancing,| فلا - then (do) not| تولوهم - turn to them| الأدبار - the backs.| | ||||||
| 3 [33:15] | Walaqad kanoo AAahadoo Allahamin qablu la yuwalloona al-adbara wakanaAAahdu Allahi mas-oolan | ولقد كانوا عاهدوا الله من قبل لا يولون الأدبار وكان عهد الله مسئولا وَلَقَدْ كَانُوا عَاهَدُوا اللَّهَ مِن قَبْلُ لَا يُوَلُّونَ الْأَدْبَارَ وَكَانَ عَهْدُ اللَّهِ مَسْؤُولًا | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And certainly| كانوا - they had| عاهدوا - promised| الله - Allah| من - before,| قبل - before,| لا - not| يولون - they would turn| الأدبار - their backs.| وكان - And is| عهد - (the) promise| الله - (to) Allah| مسئولا - to be questioned.| | ||||||
| 4 [48:22] | Walaw qatalakumu allatheenakafaroo lawallawoo al-adbara thumma la yajidoonawaliyyan wala naseeran | ولو قاتلكم الذين كفروا لولوا الأدبار ثم لا يجدون وليا ولا نصيرا وَلَوْ قَاتَلَكُمُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَوَلَّوُا الْأَدْبَارَ ثُمَّ لَا يَجِدُونَ وَلِيًّا وَلَا نَصِيرًا | |||||
| Words | |ولو - And if,| قاتلكم - fight you,| الذين - those who| كفروا - disbelieve,| لولوا - surely they would turn| الأدبار - the backs.| ثم - Then| لا - not| يجدون - they would find| وليا - any protector| ولا - and not| نصيرا - any helper.| | ||||||
| 5 [59:12] | La-in okhrijoo la yakhrujoonamaAAahum wala-in qootiloo la yansuroonahum wala-innasaroohum layuwallunna al-adbara thumma layunsaroona | لئن أخرجوا لا يخرجون معهم ولئن قوتلوا لا ينصرونهم ولئن نصروهم ليولن الأدبار ثم لا ينصرون لَئِنْ أُخْرِجُوا لَا يَخْرُجُونَ مَعَهُمْ وَلَئِن قُوتِلُوا لَا يَنصُرُونَهُمْ وَلَئِن نَّصَرُوهُمْ لَيُوَلُّنَّ الْأَدْبَارَ ثُمَّ لَا يُنصَرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |لئن - If| أخرجوا - they are expelled,| لا - not| يخرجون - they will leave| معهم - with them,| ولئن - and if| قوتلوا - they are fought| لا - not| ينصرونهم - they will help them.| ولئن - And if| نصروهم - they help them,| ليولن - certainly they will turn| الأدبار - (their) backs;| ثم - then| لا - not| ينصرون - they will be helped.| | ||||||
