| 1 [2:217] | Yas-aloonaka AAani alshshahri alharamiqitalin feehi qul qitalun feehi kabeerun wasaddunAAan sabeeli Allahi wakufrun bihi waalmasjidi alharamiwa-ikhraju ahlihi minhu akbaru AAinda Allahi waalfitnatuakbaru mina alqatli wala yazaloona yuqatiloonakumhatta yaruddookum AAan deenikum ini istataAAoowaman yartadid minkum AAan deenihi fayamut wahuwa kafirunfaola-ika habitat aAAmaluhum fee alddunyawaal-akhirati waola-ika as-habualnnari hum feeha khalidoona |  يسألونك عن الشهر الحرام قتال فيه قل قتال فيه كبير وصد عن سبيل الله وكفر به والمسجد الحرام وإخراج أهله منه أكبر عند الله والفتنة أكبر من القتل ولا يزالون يقاتلونكم حتى يردوكم عن دينكم إن استطاعوا ومن يرتدد منكم عن دينه فيمت وهو كافر فأولئك حبطت أعمالهم في الدنيا والآخرة وأولئك أصحاب النار هم فيها خالدونيَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الشَّهْرِ الْحَرَامِ قِتَالٍ فِيهِ قُلْ قِتَالٌ فِيهِ كَبِيرٌ وَصَدٌّ عَن سَبِيلِ اللّهِ وَكُفْرٌ بِهِ وَالْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَإِخْرَاجُ أَهْلِهِ مِنْهُ أَكْبَرُ عِندَ اللّهِ وَالْفِتْنَةُ أَكْبَرُ مِنَ الْقَتْلِ وَلاَ يَزَالُونَ يُقَاتِلُونَكُمْ حَتَّىَ يَرُدُّوكُمْ عَن دِينِكُمْ إِنِ اسْتَطَاعُواْ وَمَن يَرْتَدِدْ مِنكُمْ عَن دِينِهِ فَيَمُتْ وَهُوَ كَافِرٌ فَأُوْلَـئِكَ حَبِطَتْ أَعْمَالُهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ وَأُوْلَـئِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ | |||||
| Words | |يسألونك - They ask you| عن - about| الشهر - the month| الحرام - [the] sacred -| قتال - (concerning) fighting| فيه - in it.| قل - Say,| قتال - "Fighting| فيه - therein| كبير - (is) a great (sin);| وصد - but hindering (people)| عن - from| سبيل - (the) way| الله - (of) Allah,| وكفر - and disbelief| به - in Him| والمسجد - and (preventing access to) Al-Masjid| الحرام - Al-Haraam,| وإخراج - and driving out| أهله - its people| منه - from it,| أكبر - (is) greater (sin)| عند - near| الله - Allah.| والفتنة - And [the] oppression| أكبر - (is) greater| من - than| القتل - [the] killing."| ولا - And not| يزالون - they will cease| يقاتلونكم - (to) fight with you| حتى - until| يردوكم - they turn you away| عن - from| دينكم - your religion,| إن - if| استطاعوا - they are able.| ومن - And whoever| يرتدد - turns away| منكم - among you| عن - from| دينه - his religion,| فيمت - then dies| وهو - while he| كافر - (is) a disbeliever| فأولئك - for those| حبطت - became worthless| أعمالهم - their deeds| في - in| الدنيا - the world| والآخرة - and the Hereafter.| وأولئك - And those| أصحاب - (are) companions| النار - (of) the Fire,| هم - they| فيها - in it| خالدون - (will) abide forever.| | ||||||
| 2 [18:97] | Fama istaAAoo an yathharoohuwama istataAAoo lahu naqban | فما اسطاعوا أن يظهروه وما استطاعوا له نقبا فَمَا اسْطَاعُوا أَن يَظْهَرُوهُ وَمَا اسْتَطَاعُواْ لَهُ نَقْبًا | |||||
| Words | |فما - So not| اسطاعوا - they were able| أن - to| يظهروه - scale it| وما - and not| استطاعوا - they were able| له - in it| نقبا - (to do) any penetration.| | ||||||
| 3 [36:67] | Walaw nashao lamasakhnahumAAala makanatihim fama istataAAoo mudiyyanwala yarjiAAoona | ولو نشاء لمسخناهم على مكانتهم فما استطاعوا مضيا ولا يرجعون وَلَوْ نَشَاءُ لَمَسَخْنَاهُمْ عَلَى مَكَانَتِهِمْ فَمَا اسْتَطَاعُوا مُضِيًّا وَلَا يَرْجِعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولو - And if| نشاء - We willed| لمسخناهم - surely, We (would have) transformed them| على - in| مكانتهم - their places| فما - then not| استطاعوا - they would have been able| مضيا - to proceed| ولا - and not| يرجعون - return.| | ||||||
| 4 [51:45] | Fama istataAAoo min qiyaminwama kanoo muntasireena | فما استطاعوا من قيام وما كانوا منتصرين فَمَا اسْتَطَاعُوا مِن قِيَامٍ وَمَا كَانُوا مُنتَصِرِينَ | |||||
