| 1 [2:166] | Ith tabarraa allatheenaittubiAAoo mina allatheena ittabaAAoo waraawoo alAAathabawataqattaAAat bihimu al-asbabu |  إذ تبرأ الذين اتبعوا من الذين اتبعوا ورأوا العذاب وتقطعت بهم الأسبابإِذْ تَبَرَّأَ الَّذِينَ اتُّبِعُواْ مِنَ الَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُواْ وَرَأَوُاْ الْعَذَابَ وَتَقَطَّعَتْ بِهِمُ الأَسْبَابُ | |||||
| Words | |إذ - When| تبرأ - will disown| الذين - those who| اتبعوا - were followed| من - [from]| الذين - those who| اتبعوا - followed| ورأوا - and they will see| العذاب - the punishment,| وتقطعت - [and] will be cut off| بهم - for them| الأسباب - the relations.| | ||||||
| 2 [2:167] | Waqala allatheena ittabaAAoolaw anna lana karratan fanatabarraa minhum kamatabarraoo minna kathalika yureehimu AllahuaAAmalahum hasaratin AAalayhim wamahum bikharijeena mina alnnari | وقال الذين اتبعوا لو أن لنا كرة فنتبرأ منهم كما تبرءوا منا كذلك يريهم الله أعمالهم حسرات عليهم وما هم بخارجين من النار وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُواْ لَوْ أَنَّ لَنَا كَرَّةً فَنَتَبَرَّأَ مِنْهُمْ كَمَا تَبَرَّؤُواْ مِنَّا كَذَلِكَ يُرِيهِمُ اللّهُ أَعْمَالَهُمْ حَسَرَاتٍ عَلَيْهِمْ وَمَا هُم بِخَارِجِينَ مِنَ النَّارِ | |||||
| Words | |وقال - And said| الذين - those who| اتبعوا - followed,| لو - "(Only) if| أن - [that]| لنا - for us| كرة - a return,| فنتبرأ - then we will disown| منهم - [from] them| كما - as| تبرءوا - they disown| منا - [from] us."| كذلك - Thus| يريهم - will show them| الله - Allah| أعمالهم - their deeds| حسرات - (as) regrets| عليهم - for them.| وما - And not| هم - they| بخارجين - will come out| من - from| النار - the Fire.| | ||||||
| 3 [2:170] | Wa-itha qeela lahumu ittabiAAoo maanzala Allahu qaloo bal nattabiAAu ma alfaynaAAalayhi abaana awa law kana abaohumla yaAAqiloona shay-an wala yahtadoona | وإذا قيل لهم اتبعوا ما أنزل الله قالوا بل نتبع ما ألفينا عليه آباءنا أولو كان آباؤهم لا يعقلون شيئا ولا يهتدون وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ اتَّبِعُوا مَا أَنزَلَ اللّهُ قَالُواْ بَلْ نَتَّبِعُ مَا أَلْفَيْنَا عَلَيْهِ آبَاءَنَا أَوَلَوْ كَانَ آبَاؤُهُمْ لاَ يَعْقِلُونَ شَيْئاً وَلاَ يَهْتَدُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| قيل - it is said| لهم - to them,| اتبعوا - "Follow| ما - what| أنزل - has revealed| الله - Allah,"| قالوا - they said,| بل - "Nay| نتبع - we follow| ما - what| ألفينا - we found| عليه - [on it]| آباءنا - our forefathers (following)".| أولو - Even though| كان - [were]| آباؤهم - their forefathers| لا - (did) not| يعقلون - understand| شيئا - anything| ولا - and not| يهتدون - were they guided?| | ||||||
| 4 [7:3] | IttabiAAoo ma onzila ilaykum minrabbikum wala tattabiAAoo min doonihi awliyaaqaleelan ma tathakkaroona | اتبعوا ما أنزل إليكم من ربكم ولا تتبعوا من دونه أولياء قليلا ما تذكرون اتَّبِعُواْ مَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكُم مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَلاَ تَتَّبِعُواْ مِن دُونِهِ أَوْلِيَاءَ قَلِيلاً مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |اتبعوا - Follow| ما - what| أنزل - has been revealed| إليكم - to you| من - from| ربكم - your Lord,| ولا - and (do) not| تتبعوا - follow| من - from| دونه - beside Him| أولياء - any allies.| قليلا - Little| ما - (is) what| تذكرون - you remember.| | ||||||
| 5 [29:12] | Waqala allatheena kafaroolillatheena amanoo ittabiAAoo sabeelanawalnahmil khatayakum wama hum bihamileenamin khatayahum min shay-in innahum lakathiboona | وقال الذين كفروا للذين آمنوا اتبعوا سبيلنا ولنحمل خطاياكم وما هم بحاملين من خطاياهم من شيء إنهم لكاذبون وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّبِعُوا سَبِيلَنَا وَلْنَحْمِلْ خَطَايَاكُمْ وَمَا هُم بِحَامِلِينَ مِنْ خَطَايَاهُم مِّن شَيْءٍ إِنَّهُمْ لَكَاذِبُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وقال - And said,| الذين - those who| كفروا - disbelieve| للذين - to those who| آمنوا - believe,| اتبعوا - "Follow| سبيلنا - our way,| ولنحمل - and we will carry| خطاياكم - your sins."| وما - But not| هم - they| بحاملين - (are) going to carry| من - of| خطاياهم - their sins| من - any| شيء - thing.| إنهم - Indeed, they| لكاذبون - (are) surely liars.| | ||||||
| 6 [31:21] | Wa-itha qeela lahumu ittabiAAoo maanzala Allahu qaloo bal nattabiAAu ma wajadnaAAalayhi abaana awa law kana alshshaytanuyadAAoohum ila AAathabi alssaAAeeri | وإذا قيل لهم اتبعوا ما أنزل الله قالوا بل نتبع ما وجدنا عليه آباءنا أولو كان الشيطان يدعوهم إلى عذاب السعير وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ اتَّبِعُوا مَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ قَالُوا بَلْ نَتَّبِعُ مَا وَجَدْنَا عَلَيْهِ آبَاءَنَا أَوَلَوْ كَانَ الشَّيْطَانُ يَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَى عَذَابِ السَّعِيرِ | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| قيل - it is said| لهم - to them,| اتبعوا - "Follow| ما - what| أنزل - Allah (has) revealed,"| الله - Allah (has) revealed,"| قالوا - they say,| بل - "Nay,| نتبع - we will follow| ما - what| وجدنا - we found| عليه - on it| آباءنا - our forefathers."| أولو - Even if| كان - Shaitaan was| الشيطان - Shaitaan was| يدعوهم - (to) call them| إلى - to| عذاب - (the) punishment| السعير - (of) the Blaze!| | ||||||
| 7 [36:20] | Wajaa min aqsa almadeenatirajulun yasAAa qala ya qawmi ittabiAAooalmursaleena | وجاء من أقصى المدينة رجل يسعى قال يا قوم اتبعوا المرسلين وَجَاءَ مِنْ أَقْصَى الْمَدِينَةِ رَجُلٌ يَسْعَى قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اتَّبِعُوا الْمُرْسَلِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وجاء - And came| من - from| أقصى - (the) farthest end| المدينة - (of) the city| رجل - a man| يسعى - running.| قال - He said,| يا - O| قوم - "O my People!| اتبعوا - Follow| المرسلين - the Messengers.| | ||||||
| 8 [36:21] | IttabiAAoo man la yas-alukum ajranwahum muhtadoona | اتبعوا من لا يسألكم أجرا وهم مهتدون اتَّبِعُوا مَن لاَّ يَسْأَلُكُمْ أَجْرًا وَهُم مُّهْتَدُونَ | |||||
| Words | |اتبعوا - Follow| من - (those) who| لا - (do) not| يسألكم - ask (of) you| أجرا - any payment,| وهم - and they| مهتدون - (are) rightly guided.| | ||||||
| 9 [47:3] | Thalika bi-anna allatheenakafaroo ittabaAAoo albatila waanna allatheena amanooittabaAAoo alhaqqa min rabbihim kathalika yadribuAllahu lilnnasi amthalahum | ذلك بأن الذين كفروا اتبعوا الباطل وأن الذين آمنوا اتبعوا الحق من ربهم كذلك يضرب الله للناس أمثالهم ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا اتَّبَعُوا الْبَاطِلَ وَأَنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّبَعُوا الْحَقَّ مِن رَّبِّهِمْ كَذَلِكَ يَضْرِبُ اللَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ أَمْثَالَهُمْ | |||||
| Words | |ذلك - That| بأن - (is) because| الذين - those who| كفروا - disbelieve| اتبعوا - follow| الباطل - falsehood| وأن - and that| الذين - those who| آمنوا - believe| اتبعوا - follow| الحق - (the) truth| من - from| ربهم - their Lord.| كذلك - Thus| يضرب - Allah presents| الله - Allah presents| للناس - to the people| أمثالهم - their similitudes.| | ||||||
| 10 [47:28] | Thalika bi-annahumu ittabaAAoo maaskhata Allaha wakarihoo ridwanahufaahbata aAAmalahum | ذلك بأنهم اتبعوا ما أسخط الله وكرهوا رضوانه فأحبط أعمالهم ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمُ اتَّبَعُوا مَا أَسْخَطَ اللَّهَ وَكَرِهُوا رِضْوَانَهُ فَأَحْبَطَ أَعْمَالَهُمْ | |||||
| Words | |ذلك - That| بأنهم - (is) because they| اتبعوا - followed| ما - what| أسخط - angered| الله - Allah| وكرهوا - and hated| رضوانه - His pleasure,| فأحبط - so He made worthless| أعمالهم - their deeds.| | ||||||
