| Words | |إن - Indeed,| الذين - those who| كفروا - disbelieve[d],| سواء - (it) is same| عليهم - to them| أأنذرتهم - whether you warn them| أم - or| لم - not| تنذرهم - you warn them,| لا - not| يؤمنون - they believe.| | ||||||
| 2 [2:20] | Yakadu albarqu yakhtafu absarahumkullama adaa lahum mashaw feehi wa-itha athlamaAAalayhim qamoo walaw shaa Allahu lathahababisamAAihim waabsarihim inna Allaha AAalakulli shay-in qadeerun | يكاد البرق يخطف أبصارهم كلما أضاء لهم مشوا فيه وإذا أظلم عليهم قاموا ولو شاء الله لذهب بسمعهم وأبصارهم إن الله على كل شيء قدير يَكَادُ الْبَرْقُ يَخْطَفُ أَبْصَارَهُمْ كُلَّمَا أَضَاءَ لَهُم مَّشَوْاْ فِيهِ وَإِذَا أَظْلَمَ عَلَيْهِمْ قَامُواْ وَلَوْ شَاء اللّهُ لَذَهَبَ بِسَمْعِهِمْ وَأَبْصَارِهِمْ إِنَّ اللَّه عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ | |||||
| Words | |يكاد - Almost| البرق - the lightning| يخطف - snatches away| أبصارهم - their sight.| كلما - Whenever| أضاء - it flashes| لهم - for them| مشوا - they walk| فيه - in it,| وإذا - and when| أظلم - it darkens| عليهم - on them| قاموا - they stand (still).| ولو - And if| شاء - had willed| الله - Allah,| لذهب - He would certainly have taken away| بسمعهم - their hearing,| وأبصارهم - and their sight.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| على - (is) on| كل - every| شيء - thing| قدير - All-Powerful.| | ||||||
| 3 [2:23] | Wa-in kuntum fee raybin mimma nazzalnaAAala AAabdina fa/too bisooratin min mithlihi waodAAooshuhadaakum min dooni Allahi in kuntum sadiqeena | وإن كنتم في ريب مما نزلنا على عبدنا فأتوا بسورة من مثله وادعوا شهداءكم من دون الله إن كنتم صادقين وَإِنْ كُنتُمْ فِي رَيْبٍ مِّمَّا نَزَّلْنَا عَلَى عَبْدِنَا فَأْتُواْ بِسُورَةٍ مِّن مِّثْلِهِ وَادْعُواْ شُهَدَاءَكُم مِّن دُونِ اللّهِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وإن - And if| كنتم - you are| في - in| ريب - doubt| مما - about what| نزلنا - We have revealed| على - to| عبدنا - Our slave,| فأتوا - then produce| بسورة - a chapter| من - [of]| مثله - like it| وادعوا - and call| شهداءكم - your witnesses| من - from| دون - other than| الله - Allah| إن - if| كنتم - you are| صادقين - truthful.| | ||||||
| 4 [2:26] | Inna Allaha la yastahyeean yadriba mathalan ma baAAoodatan famafawqaha faamma allatheena amanoofayaAAlamoona annahu alhaqqu min rabbihim waammaallatheena kafaroo fayaqooloona matha aradaAllahu bihatha mathalan yudillu bihikatheeran wayahdee bihi katheeran wama yudillu bihiilla alfasiqeena | إن الله لا يستحيي أن يضرب مثلا ما بعوضة فما فوقها فأما الذين آمنوا فيعلمون أنه الحق من ربهم وأما الذين كفروا فيقولون ماذا أراد الله بهذا مثلا يضل به كثيرا ويهدي به كثيرا وما يضل به إلا الفاسقين إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يَسْتَحْيِي أَن يَّضْرِبَ مَثَلاً مَّا بَعُوضَةً فَمَا فَوْقَهَا فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ فَيَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّهُ الْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّهِمْ وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ فَيَقُولُونَ مَاذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ بِهَـذَا مَثَلاً يُضِلُّ بِهِ كَثِيراً وَّيَهْدِي بِهِ كَثِيراً وَمَا يُضِلُّ بِهِ إِلاَّ الْفَاسِقِينَ | |||||
| Words | |إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| لا - (is) not| يستحيي - ashamed| أن - to| يضرب - set forth| مثلا - an example| ما - (like) even| بعوضة - (of) a mosquito| فما - and (even) something| فوقها - above it.| فأما - Then as for| الذين - those who| آمنوا - believed,| فيعلمون - [thus] they will know| أنه - that it| الحق - (is) the truth| من - from| ربهم - their Lord.| وأما - And as for| الذين - those who| كفروا - disbelieved| فيقولون - [thus] they will say| ماذا - what| أراد - (did) intend| الله - Allah| بهذا - by this| مثلا - example?| يضل - He lets go astray| به - by it| كثيرا - many| ويهدي - and He guides| به - by it| كثيرا - many.| وما - And not| يضل - He lets go astray| به - by it| إلا - except| الفاسقين - the defiantly disobedient.| | ||||||
| 5 [2:31] | WaAAallama adama al-asmaakullaha thumma AAaradahum AAala almala-ikatifaqala anbi-oonee bi-asma-i haola-iin kuntum sadiqeena | وعلم آدم الأسماء كلها ثم عرضهم على الملائكة فقال أنبئوني بأسماء هؤلاء إن كنتم صادقين وَعَلَّمَ آدَمَ الأَسْمَاءَ كُلَّهَا ثُمَّ عَرَضَهُمْ عَلَى الْمَلاَئِكَةِ فَقَالَ أَنْبِئُونِي بِأَسْمَاءِ هَـؤُلَاءِ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وعلم - And He taught| آدم - Adam| الأسماء - the names -| كلها - all of them.| ثم - Then| عرضهم - He displayed them| على - to| الملائكة - the angels,| فقال - then He said,| أنبئوني - "Inform Me| بأسماء - of (the) names| هؤلاء - (of) these,| إن - if| كنتم - you are| صادقين - truthful."| | ||||||
| 6 [2:62] | Inna allatheena amanoo waallatheenahadoo waalnnasara waalssabi-eenaman amana biAllahi waalyawmi al-akhiriwaAAamila salihan falahum ajruhum AAinda rabbihimwala khawfun AAalayhim wala hum yahzanoona | إن الذين آمنوا والذين هادوا والنصارى والصابئين من آمن بالله واليوم الآخر وعمل صالحا فلهم أجرهم عند ربهم ولا خوف عليهم ولا هم يحزنون إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ وَالَّذِينَ هَادُواْ وَالنَّصَارَى وَالصَّابِئِينَ مَنْ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحاً فَلَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ وَلاَ خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلاَ هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ | |||||
| Words | |إن - Indeed,| الذين - those who| آمنوا - believed| والذين - and those who| هادوا - became Jews| والنصارى - and the Christians| والصابئين - and the Sabians -| من - who| آمن - believed| بالله - in Allah| واليوم - and the Day| الآخر - [the] Last| وعمل - and did| صالحا - righteous deeds,| فلهم - so for them| أجرهم - their reward| عند - (is) with| ربهم - their Lord| ولا - and no| خوف - fear| عليهم - on them| ولا - and not| هم - they| يحزنون - will grieve.| | ||||||
| 7 [2:67] | Wa-ith qala moosaliqawmihi inna Allaha ya/murukum an tathbahoobaqaratan qaloo atattakhithuna huzuwan qalaaAAoothu biAllahi an akoona mina aljahileena | وإذ قال موسى لقومه إن الله يأمركم أن تذبحوا بقرة قالوا أتتخذنا هزوا قال أعوذ بالله أن أكون من الجاهلين وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَى لِقَوْمِهِ إِنَّ اللّهَ يَأْمُرُكُمْ أَنْ تَذْبَحُواْ بَقَرَةً قَالُواْ أَتَتَّخِذُنَا هُزُواً قَالَ أَعُوذُ بِاللّهِ أَنْ أَكُونَ مِنَ الْجَاهِلِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| قال - said| موسى - Musa| لقومه - to his people,| إن - "Indeed,| الله - Allah| يأمركم - commands you| أن - that| تذبحوا - you slaughter| بقرة - a cow."| قالوا - They said,| أتتخذنا - "Do you take us| هزوا - (in) ridicule."| قال - He said,| أعوذ - "I seek refuge| بالله - in Allah| أن - that| أكون - I be| من - among| الجاهلين - the ignorant."| | ||||||
| 8 [2:70] | Qaloo odAAu lana rabbakayubayyin lana ma hiya inna albaqara tashabahaAAalayna wa-inna in shaa Allahulamuhtadoona | قالوا ادع لنا ربك يبين لنا ما هي إن البقر تشابه علينا وإنا إن شاء الله لمهتدون قَالُواْ ادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُبَيِّن لَّنَا مَا هِيَ إِنَّ البَقَرَ تَشَابَهَ عَلَيْنَا وَإِنَّآ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَمُهْتَدُونَ | |||||
| Words | |قالوا - They said,| ادع - "Pray| لنا - for us| ربك - (to) your Lord| يبين - to make clear| لنا - to us| ما - what| هي - it (is).| إن - Indeed,| البقر - [the] cows| تشابه - look alike| علينا - to us.| وإنا - And indeed we,| إن - if| شاء - wills| الله - Allah,| لمهتدون - (will) surely be those who are guided."| | ||||||
| 9 [2:91] | Wa-itha qeela lahum aminoo bimaanzala Allahu qaloo nu/minu bima onzilaAAalayna wayakfuroona bima waraahu wahuwa alhaqqumusaddiqan lima maAAahum qul falima taqtuloonaanbiyaa Allahi min qablu in kuntum mu/mineena | وإذا قيل لهم آمنوا بما أنزل الله قالوا نؤمن بما أنزل علينا ويكفرون بما وراءه وهو الحق مصدقا لما معهم قل فلم تقتلون أنبياء الله من قبل إن كنتم مؤمنين وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ آمِنُواْ بِمَا أَنزَلَ اللّهُ قَالُواْ نُؤْمِنُ بِمَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْنَا وَيَكْفُرُوْنَ بِمَا وَرَاءَهُ وَهُوَ الْحَقُّ مُصَدِّقاً لِّمَا مَعَهُمْ قُلْ فَلِمَ تَقْتُلُونَ أَنْبِيَاءَ اللّهِ مِنْ قَبْلُ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُّؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| قيل - it is said| لهم - to them,| آمنوا - "Believe| بما - in what| أنزل - has revealed| الله - Allah,"| قالوا - they say,| نؤمن - "We believe| بما - in what| أنزل - was revealed| علينا - to us."| ويكفرون - And they disbelieve| بما - in what| وراءه - (is) besides it,| وهو - while it| الحق - (is) the truth| مصدقا - confirming| لما - what| معهم - (is) with them.| قل - Say,| فلم - "Then why| تقتلون - (did) you kill| أنبياء - (the) Prophets| الله - (of) Allah| من - from| قبل - before,| إن - if| كنتم - you were| مؤمنين - believers?"| | ||||||
| 10 [2:93] | Wa-ith akhathna meethaqakumwarafaAAna fawqakumu alttoora khuthooma ataynakum biquwwatin waismaAAoo qaloosamiAAna waAAasayna waoshriboo feequloobihimu alAAijla bikufrihim qul bi/sama ya/murukumbihi eemanukum in kuntum mu/mineena | وإذ أخذنا ميثاقكم ورفعنا فوقكم الطور خذوا ما آتيناكم بقوة واسمعوا قالوا سمعنا وعصينا وأشربوا في قلوبهم العجل بكفرهم قل بئسما يأمركم به إيمانكم إن كنتم مؤمنين وَإِذْ أَخَذْنَا مِيثَاقَكُمْ وَرَفَعْنَا فَوْقَكُمُ الطُّورَ خُذُواْ مَا آتَيْنَاكُمْ بِقُوَّةٍ وَّاسْمَعُواْ قَالُواْ سَمِعْنَا وَعَصَيْنَا وَأُشْرِبُواْ فِي قُلُوبِهِمُ الْعِجْلَ بِكُفْرِهِمْ قُلْ بِئْسَمَا يَأْمُرُكُمْ بِهِ إِيمَانُكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ مُّؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| أخذنا - We took| ميثاقكم - your covenant| ورفعنا - and We raised| فوقكم - over you| الطور - the mount,| خذوا - "Hold| ما - what| آتيناكم - We gave you,| بقوة - with firmness| واسمعوا - and listen."| قالوا - They said,| سمعنا - "We heard| وعصينا - and we disobeyed."| وأشربوا - And they were made to drink| في - in| قلوبهم - their hearts| العجل - (love of) the calf| بكفرهم - because of their disbelief.| قل - Say,| بئسما - "Evil (is) that| يأمركم - orders you (to do) it| به - with| إيمانكم - your faith,| إن - if| كنتم - you are| مؤمنين - believers."| | ||||||
| 11 [2:94] | Qul in kanat lakumu alddarual-akhiratu AAinda Allahi khalisatanmin dooni alnnasi fatamannawoo almawta in kuntum sadiqeena | قل إن كانت لكم الدار الآخرة عند الله خالصة من دون الناس فتمنوا الموت إن كنتم صادقين قُلْ إِنْ كَانَتْ لَكُمُ الدَّارُ الْآخِرَةُ عِنْدَ اللّهِ خَالِصَةً مِّنْ دُونِ النَّاسِ فَتَمَنَّوُاْ الْمَوْتَ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ | |||||

| 12 [2:109] | Wadda katheerun min ahli alkitabilaw yaruddoonakum min baAAdi eemanikum kuffaran hasadanmin AAindi anfusihim min baAAdi ma tabayyana lahumu alhaqqufaoAAfoo waisfahoo hattaya/tiya Allahu bi-amrihi inna Allaha AAalakulli shay-in qadeerun | ود كثير من أهل الكتاب لو يردونكم من بعد إيمانكم كفارا حسدا من عند أنفسهم من بعد ما تبين لهم الحق فاعفوا واصفحوا حتى يأتي الله بأمره إن الله على كل شيء قدير وَدَّ كَثِيرٌ مِّنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ لَوْ يَرُدُّونَكُم مِّن بَعْدِ إِيمَانِكُمْ كُفَّاراً حَسَدًا مِّنْ عِندِ أَنفُسِهِم مِّن بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الْحَقُّ فَاعْفُواْ وَاصْفَحُواْ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ اللّهُ بِأَمْرِهِ إِنَّ اللّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ | |||||

| 13 [2:110] | Waaqeemoo alssalata waatooalzzakata wama tuqaddimoo li-anfusikum minkhayrin tajidoohu AAinda Allahi inna Allaha bimataAAmaloona baseerun | وأقيموا الصلاة وآتوا الزكاة وما تقدموا لأنفسكم من خير تجدوه عند الله إن الله بما تعملون بصير وَأَقِيمُواْ الصَّلاَةَ وَآتُواْ الزَّكَاةَ وَمَا تُقَدِّمُواْ لِأَنفُسِكُم مِّنْ خَيْرٍ تَجِدُوهُ عِندَ اللّهِ إِنَّ اللّهَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ | |||||
| Words | |وأقيموا - And establish| الصلاة - the prayer| وآتوا - and give| الزكاة - [the] zakah.| وما - And whatever| تقدموا - you send forth| لأنفسكم - for yourselves| من - of| خير - good (deeds),| تجدوه - you will find it| عند - with| الله - Allah.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| بما - of what| تعملون - you do| بصير - (is) All-Seer.| | ||||||
| 14 [2:111] | Waqaloo lan yadkhula aljannata illaman kana hoodan aw nasara tilka amaniyyuhumqul hatoo burhanakum in kuntum sadiqeena | وقالوا لن يدخل الجنة إلا من كان هودا أو نصارى تلك أمانيهم قل هاتوا برهانكم إن كنتم صادقين وَقَالُواْ لَن يَدْخُلَ الْجَنَّةَ إِلاَّ مَن كَانَ هُوداً أَوْ نَصَارَى تِلْكَ أَمَانِيُّهُمْ قُلْ هَاتُواْ بُرْهَانَكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وقالوا - And they said,| لن - "Never| يدخل - will enter| الجنة - the Paradise| إلا - except| من - who| كان - is| هودا - (a) Jew[s]| أو - or| نصارى - (a) Christian[s]."| تلك - That| أمانيهم - (is) their wishful thinking.| قل - Say,| هاتوا - "Bring| برهانكم - your proof| إن - if| كنتم - you are| صادقين - [those who are] truthful."| | ||||||
| 15 [2:115] | Walillahi almashriqu waalmaghribufaaynama tuwalloo fathamma wajhu Allahi inna AllahawasiAAun AAaleemun | ولله المشرق والمغرب فأينما تولوا فثم وجه الله إن الله واسع عليم وَلِلّهِ الْمَشْرِقُ وَالْمَغْرِبُ فَأَيْنَمَا تُوَلُّواْ فَثَمَّ وَجْهُ اللّهِ إِنَّ اللّهَ وَاسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |ولله - And for Allah| المشرق - (is) the east| والمغرب - and the west,| فأينما - so wherever| تولوا - you turn| فثم - [so] there| وجه - (is the) face| الله - (of) Allah.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| واسع - (is) All-Encompassing,| عليم - All-Knowing.| | ||||||
| 16 [2:120] | Walan tarda AAanka alyahoodu walaalnnasara hatta tattabiAAamillatahum qul inna huda Allahi huwa alhudawala-ini ittabaAAta ahwaahum baAAda allathee jaakamina alAAilmi ma laka mina Allahi min waliyyin walanaseerin | ولن ترضى عنك اليهود ولا النصارى حتى تتبع ملتهم قل إن هدى الله هو الهدى ولئن اتبعت أهواءهم بعد الذي جاءك من العلم ما لك من الله من ولي ولا نصير وَلَن تَرْضَى عَنكَ الْيَهُودُ وَلاَ النَّصَارَى حَتَّى تَتَّبِعَ مِلَّتَهُمْ قُلْ إِنَّ هُدَى اللّهِ هُوَ الْهُدَى وَلَئِنِ اتَّبَعْتَ أَهْوَاءَهُم بَعْدَ الَّذِي جَاءَكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ مَا لَكَ مِنَ اللّهِ مِن وَلِيٍّ وَلاَ نَصِيرٍ | |||||
| Words | |ولن - And never| ترضى - will be pleased| عنك - with you| اليهود - the Jews| ولا - and [not]| النصارى - the Christians| حتى - until| تتبع - you follow| ملتهم - their religion.| قل - Say,| إن - "Indeed,| هدى - (the) Guidance| الله - (of) Allah,| هو - it| الهدى - (is) the Guidance."| ولئن - And if| اتبعت - you follow| أهواءهم - their desires| بعد - after| الذي - what| جاءك - has come to you| من - of| العلم - the knowledge,| ما - not| لك - for you| من - from| الله - Allah| من - any| ولي - protector| ولا - and not| نصير - any helper.| | ||||||
| 17 [2:132] | Wawassa biha ibraheemubaneehi wayaAAqoobu ya baniyya inna Allaha istafalakumu alddeena fala tamootunna illa waantummuslimoona | ووصى بها إبراهيم بنيه ويعقوب يا بني إن الله اصطفى لكم الدين فلا تموتن إلا وأنتم مسلمون وَوَصَّى بِهَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بَنِيهِ وَيَعْقُوبُ يَا بَنِيَّ إِنَّ اللّهَ اصْطَفَى لَكُمُ الدِّينَ فَلاَ تَمُوتُنَّ إَلاَّ وَأَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ووصى - And enjoined| بها - [it]| إبراهيم - Ibrahim| بنيه - (upon) his sons| ويعقوب - and Yaqub,| يا - O| بني - "O my sons!| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| اصطفى - has chosen| لكم - for you| الدين - the religion,| فلا - so not| تموتن - (should) you die| إلا - except| وأنتم - while you| مسلمون - (are) submissive."| | ||||||
| 18 [2:140] | Am taqooloona inna ibraheema wa-ismaAAeelawa-ishaqa wayaAAqooba waal-asbata kanoohoodan aw nasara qul aantum aAAlamu ami Allahuwaman athlamu mimman katama shahadatanAAindahu mina Allahi wama Allahu bighafilinAAamma taAAmaloona | أم تقولون إن إبراهيم وإسماعيل وإسحاق ويعقوب والأسباط كانوا هودا أو نصارى قل أأنتم أعلم أم الله ومن أظلم ممن كتم شهادة عنده من الله وما الله بغافل عما تعملون أَمْ تَقُولُونَ إِنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ وَإِسْحَـقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ وَالأَسْبَاطَ كَانُواْ هُودًا أَوْ نَصَارَى قُلْ أَأَنتُمْ أَعْلَمُ أَمِ اللّهُ وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّن كَتَمَ شَهَادَةً عِندَهُ مِنَ اللّهِ وَمَا اللّهُ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ | |||||

| 19 [2:143] | Wakathalika jaAAalnakumommatan wasatan litakoonoo shuhadaa AAala alnnasiwayakoona alrrasoolu AAalaykum shaheedan wamajaAAalna alqiblata allatee kunta AAalayha illalinaAAlama man yattabiAAu alrrasoola mimman yanqalibu AAalaAAaqibayhi wa-in kanat lakabeeratan illa AAalaallatheena hada Allahu wama kanaAllahu liyudeeAAa eemanakum inna Allahabialnnasi laraoofun raheemun | وكذلك جعلناكم أمة وسطا لتكونوا شهداء على الناس ويكون الرسول عليكم شهيدا وما جعلنا القبلة التي كنت عليها إلا لنعلم من يتبع الرسول ممن ينقلب على عقبيه وإن كانت لكبيرة إلا على الذين هدى الله وما كان الله ليضيع إيمانكم إن الله بالناس لرءوف رحيم وَكَذَلِكَ جَعَلْنَاكُمْ أُمَّةً وَسَطًا لِّتَكُونُواْ شُهَدَاءَ عَلَى النَّاسِ وَيَكُونَ الرَّسُولُ عَلَيْكُمْ شَهِيدًا وَمَا جَعَلْنَا الْقِبْلَةَ الَّتِي كُنتَ عَلَيْهَا إِلاَّ لِنَعْلَمَ مَن يَتَّبِعُ الرَّسُولَ مِمَّن يَنقَلِبُ عَلَى عَقِبَيْهِ وَإِن كَانَتْ لَكَبِيرَةً إِلاَّ عَلَى الَّذِينَ هَدَى اللّهُ وَمَا كَانَ اللّهُ لِيُضِيعَ إِيمَانَكُمْ إِنَّ اللّهَ بِالنَّاسِ لَرَؤُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |وكذلك - And thus| جعلناكم - We made you| أمة - a community| وسطا - (of the) middle way| لتكونوا - so that you will be| شهداء - witnesses| على - over| الناس - the mankind,| ويكون - and will be| الرسول - the Messenger| عليكم - on you| شهيدا - a witness.| وما - And not| جعلنا - We made| القبلة - the direction of prayer| التي - which| كنت - you were used to| عليها - [on it]| إلا - except| لنعلم - that We make evident| من - (he) who| يتبع - follows| الرسول - the Messenger| ممن - from (he) who| ينقلب - turns back| على - on| عقبيه - his heels.| وإن - And indeed,| كانت - it was| لكبيرة - certainly a great (test)| إلا - except| على - for| الذين - those whom| هدى - guided| الله - (by) Allah.| وما - And not| كان - will| الله - Allah| ليضيع - let go waste| إيمانكم - your faith.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| بالناس - (is) to [the] mankind| لرءوف - Full of Kindness,| رحيم - Most Merciful.| | ||||||
| 20 [2:148] | Walikullin wijhatun huwa muwalleehafaistabiqoo alkhayrati aynama takoonoo ya/tibikumu Allahu jameeAAan inna Allaha AAalakulli shay-in qadeerun | ولكل وجهة هو موليها فاستبقوا الخيرات أين ما تكونوا يأت بكم الله جميعا إن الله على كل شيء قدير وَلِكُلٍّ وِجْهَةٌ هُوَ مُوَلِّيهَا فَاسْتَبِقُواْ الْخَيْرَاتِ أَيْنَ مَا تَكُونُواْ يَأْتِ بِكُمُ اللّهُ جَمِيعًا إِنَّ اللّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ | |||||
