| 1 [2:13] | Wa-itha qeela lahum aminoo kamaamana alnnasu qaloo anu/minu kamaamana alssufahao ala innahum humu alssufahaowalakin la yaAAlamoona |  وإذا قيل لهم آمنوا كما آمن الناس قالوا أنؤمن كما آمن السفهاء ألا إنهم هم السفهاء ولكن لا يعلمونوَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ آمِنُواْ كَمَا آمَنَ النَّاسُ قَالُواْ أَنُؤْمِنُ كَمَا آمَنَ السُّفَهَاءُ أَلَا إِنَّهُمْ هُمُ السُّفَهَاءُ وَلَـكِن لاَّ يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| قيل - it is said| لهم - to them,| آمنوا - "Believe| كما - as| آمن - believed| الناس - the people,"| قالوا - they say,| أنؤمن - "Should we believe| كما - as| آمن - believed| السفهاء - the fools?"| ألا - Beware,| إنهم - certainly they| هم - themselves| السفهاء - (are) the fools| ولكن - [and] but| لا - not| يعلمون - they know.| | ||||||
| 2 [23:47] | Faqaloo anu/minu libasharayni mithlinawaqawmuhuma lana AAabidoona | فقالوا أنؤمن لبشرين مثلنا وقومهما لنا عابدون فَقَالُوا أَنُؤْمِنُ لِبَشَرَيْنِ مِثْلِنَا وَقَوْمُهُمَا لَنَا عَابِدُونَ | |||||
| Words | |فقالوا - Then they said,| أنؤمن - "Shall we believe| لبشرين - (in) two men| مثلنا - like ourselves| وقومهما - while their people| لنا - for us| عابدون - (are) slaves."| | ||||||
| 3 [26:111] | Qaloo anu/minu laka waittabaAAakaal-arthaloona | قالوا أنؤمن لك واتبعك الأرذلون قَالُوا أَنُؤْمِنُ لَكَ وَاتَّبَعَكَ الْأَرْذَلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |قالوا - They said,| أنؤمن - "Should we believe| لك - in you| واتبعك - while followed you| الأرذلون - the lowest?"| | ||||||
