| 1 [11:53] | Qaloo ya hoodu maji/tana bibayyinatin wama nahnu bitarikeealihatina AAan qawlika wama nahnulaka bimu/mineena |  قالوا يا هود ما جئتنا ببينة وما نحن بتاركي آلهتنا عن قولك وما نحن لك بمؤمنينقَالُواْ يَا هُودُ مَا جِئْتَنَا بِبَيِّنَةٍ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِتَارِكِي آلِهَتِنَا عَن قَوْلِكَ وَمَا نَحْنُ لَكَ بِمُؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |قالوا - They said,| يا - O| هود - "O Hud!| ما - You have not brought us| جئتنا - You have not brought us| ببينة - clear proofs,| وما - and not| نحن - we| بتاركي - (will) leave| آلهتنا - our gods| عن - on| قولك - your saying,| وما - and not| نحن - we (are)| لك - in you| بمؤمنين - believers.| | ||||||
| 2 [11:54] | In naqoolu illa iAAtaraka baAAdualihatina bisoo-in qala innee oshhidu Allahawaishhadoo annee baree-on mimma tushrikoona | إن نقول إلا اعتراك بعض آلهتنا بسوء قال إني أشهد الله واشهدوا أني بريء مما تشركون إِن نَّقُولُ إِلاَّ اعْتَرَاكَ بَعْضُ آلِهَتِنَا بِسُوءٍ قَالَ إِنِّي أُشْهِدُ اللّهَ وَاشْهَدُواْ أَنِّي بَرِيءٌ مِّمَّا تُشْرِكُونَ | |||||
| Words | |إن - Not| نقول - we say,| إلا - except (that),| اعتراك - have seized you| بعض - some| آلهتنا - (of) our gods| بسوء - with evil."| قال - He said,| إني - "Indeed, I| أشهد - [I] call Allah to witness| الله - [I] call Allah to witness| واشهدوا - and (you) bear witness| أني - that I am| بريء - innocent| مما - of what| تشركون - you associate,| | ||||||
| 3 [25:42] | In kada layudillunaAAan alihatina lawla an sabarnaAAalayha wasawfa yaAAlamoona heena yarawna alAAathabaman adallu sabeelan | إن كاد ليضلنا عن آلهتنا لولا أن صبرنا عليها وسوف يعلمون حين يرون العذاب من أضل سبيلا إِن كَادَ لَيُضِلُّنَا عَنْ آلِهَتِنَا لَوْلَا أَن صَبَرْنَا عَلَيْهَا وَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ حِينَ يَرَوْنَ الْعَذَابَ مَنْ أَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا | |||||
| Words | |إن - He would have almost| كاد - He would have almost| ليضلنا - [surely] misled us| عن - from| آلهتنا - our gods| لولا - if not| أن - that| صبرنا - we had been steadfast| عليها - to them."| وسوف - And soon| يعلمون - will know| حين - when| يرون - they will see| العذاب - the punishment,| من - who| أضل - (is) more astray| سبيلا - (from the) way.| | ||||||
| 4 [37:36] | Wayaqooloona a-inna latarikoo alihatinalishaAAirin majnoonin | ويقولون أئنا لتاركو آلهتنا لشاعر مجنون وَيَقُولُونَ أَئِنَّا لَتَارِكُوا آلِهَتِنَا لِشَاعِرٍ مَّجْنُونٍ | |||||
| Words | |ويقولون - And they say,| أئنا - "Are we| لتاركو - to leave| آلهتنا - our gods| لشاعر - for a poet| مجنون - mad?"| | ||||||
| 5 [46:22] | Qaloo aji/tana lita/fikanaAAan alihatina fa/tina bima taAAidunain kunta mina alssadiqeena | قالوا أجئتنا لتأفكنا عن آلهتنا فأتنا بما تعدنا إن كنت من الصادقين قَالُوا أَجِئْتَنَا لِتَأْفِكَنَا عَنْ آلِهَتِنَا فَأْتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَا إِن كُنتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ | |||||
| Words | |قالوا - They said,| أجئتنا - "Have you come to us| لتأفكنا - to turn us away| عن - from| آلهتنا - our gods?| فأتنا - Then bring us| بما - what| تعدنا - you threaten us,| إن - if| كنت - you are| من - of| الصادقين - the truthful."| | ||||||
