| 1 [2:273] | Lilfuqara-i allatheena ohsiroofee sabeeli Allahi la yastateeAAoona darbanfee al-ardi yahsabuhumu aljahilu aghniyaamina alttaAAaffufi taAArifuhum biseemahum layas-aloona alnnasa ilhafan wamatunfiqoo min khayrin fa-inna Allaha bihi AAaleemun |  للفقراء الذين أحصروا في سبيل الله لا يستطيعون ضربا في الأرض يحسبهم الجاهل أغنياء من التعفف تعرفهم بسيماهم لا يسألون الناس إلحافا وما تنفقوا من خير فإن الله به عليملِلْفُقَرَاءِ الَّذِينَ أُحصِرُواْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ لاَ يَسْتَطِيعُونَ ضَرْبًا فِي الأَرْضِ يَحْسَبُهُمُ الْجَاهِلُ أَغْنِيَاءَ مِنَ التَّعَفُّفِ تَعْرِفُهُم بِسِيمَاهُمْ لاَ يَسْأَلُونَ النَّاسَ إِلْحَافًا وَمَا تُنفِقُواْ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَإِنَّ اللّهَ بِهِ عَلِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |للفقراء - For the poor,| الذين - those who| أحصروا - are wrapped up| في - in| سبيل - (the) way| الله - (of) Allah,| لا - not| يستطيعون - they are able| ضربا - (to) move about| في - in| الأرض - the earth.| يحسبهم - Think (about) them,| الجاهل - the ignorant one,| أغنياء - (that they are) self-sufficient| من - (because) of| التعفف - (their) restraint,| تعرفهم - you recognize them| بسيماهم - by their mark.| لا - Not| يسألون - (do) they ask| الناس - the people| إلحافا - with importunity.| وما - And whatever| تنفقوا - you spend| من - of| خير - good,| فإن - then indeed,| الله - Allah| به - of it| عليم - (is) All-Knower.| | ||||||
| 2 [4:98] | Illa almustadAAafeena mina alrrijaliwaalnnisa-i waalwildani layastateeAAoona heelatan wala yahtadoonasabeelan | إلا المستضعفين من الرجال والنساء والولدان لا يستطيعون حيلة ولا يهتدون سبيلا إِلاَّ الْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَاءِ وَالْوِلْدَانِ لاَ يَسْتَطِيعُونَ حِيلَةً وَلاَ يَهْتَدُونَ سَبِيلاً | |||||

| 3 [7:192] | Wala yastateeAAoona lahum nasranwala anfusahum yansuroona | ولا يستطيعون لهم نصرا ولا أنفسهم ينصرون وَلاَ يَسْتَطِيعُونَ لَهُمْ نَصْرًا وَلاَ أَنفُسَهُمْ يَنصُرُونَ | |||||

| 4 [7:197] | Waallatheena tadAAoona mindoonihi la yastateeAAoona nasrakum walaanfusahum yansuroona | والذين تدعون من دونه لا يستطيعون نصركم ولا أنفسهم ينصرون وَالَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِ لاَ يَسْتَطِيعُونَ نَصْرَكُمْ وَلَآ أَنفُسَهُمْ يَنْصُرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |والذين - And those whom| تدعون - you invoke| من - from| دونه - besides Him,| لا - not| يستطيعون - they are able| نصركم - (to) help you| ولا - and not| أنفسهم - themselves| ينصرون - can they help.| | ||||||
| 5 [11:20] | Ola-ika lam yakoonoo muAAjizeena feeal-ardi wama kana lahum min dooni Allahimin awliyaa yudaAAafu lahumu alAAathabu makanoo yastateeAAoona alssamAAa wama kanooyubsiroona | أولئك لم يكونوا معجزين في الأرض وما كان لهم من دون الله من أولياء يضاعف لهم العذاب ما كانوا يستطيعون السمع وما كانوا يبصرون أُولَـئِكَ لَمْ يَكُونُواْ مُعْجِزِينَ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَمَا كَانَ لَهُم مِّن دُونِ اللّهِ مِنْ أَوْلِيَاءَ يُضَاعَفُ لَهُمُ الْعَذَابُ مَا كَانُواْ يَسْتَطِيعُونَ السَّمْعَ وَمَا كَانُواْ يُبْصِرُونَ | |||||

| 6 [16:73] | WayaAAbudoona min dooni Allahi mala yamliku lahum rizqan mina alssamawatiwaal-ardi shay-an wala yastateeAAoona | ويعبدون من دون الله ما لا يملك لهم رزقا من السماوات والأرض شيئا ولا يستطيعون وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللّهِ مَا لاَ يَمْلِكُ لَهُمْ رِزْقًا مِّنَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ شَيْئًا وَلاَ يَسْتَطِيعُونَ | |||||

| 8 [18:101] | Allatheena kanat aAAyunuhumfee ghita-in AAan thikree wakanoo layastateeAAoona samAAan | الذين كانت أعينهم في غطاء عن ذكري وكانوا لا يستطيعون سمعا الَّذِينَ كَانَتْ أَعْيُنُهُمْ فِي غِطَاءِ عَن ذِكْرِي وَكَانُوا لاَ يَسْتَطِيعُونَ سَمْعًا | |||||

| 9 [21:40] | Bal ta/teehim baghtatan fatabhatuhum falayastateeAAoona raddaha wala hum yuntharoona | بل تأتيهم بغتة فتبهتهم فلا يستطيعون ردها ولا هم ينظرون بَلْ تَأْتِيهِم بَغْتَةً فَتَبْهَتُهُمْ فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ رَدَّهَا وَلَا هُمْ يُنظَرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |بل - Nay,| تأتيهم - it will come to them| بغتة - unexpectedly| فتبهتهم - and bewilder them,| فلا - then not| يستطيعون - they will be able| ردها - to repel it,| ولا - and not| هم - they| ينظرون - will be given respite.| | ||||||
| 10 [21:43] | Am lahum alihatun tamnaAAuhum mindoonina la yastateeAAoona nasraanfusihim wala hum minna yushaboona | أم لهم آلهة تمنعهم من دوننا لا يستطيعون نصر أنفسهم ولا هم منا يصحبون أَمْ لَهُمْ آلِهَةٌ تَمْنَعُهُم مِّن دُونِنَا لَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ نَصْرَ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَلَا هُم مِّنَّا يُصْحَبُونَ | |||||

| 11 [25:9] | Onthur kayfa daraboolaka al-amthala fadalloo fala yastateeAAoonasabeelan | انظر كيف ضربوا لك الأمثال فضلوا فلا يستطيعون سبيلا انظُرْ كَيْفَ ضَرَبُوا لَكَ الْأَمْثَالَ فَضَلُّوا فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ سَبِيلًا | |||||
| Words | |انظر - See| كيف - how| ضربوا - they set forth| لك - for you| الأمثال - the similitudes,| فضلوا - but they have gone astray,| فلا - so not| يستطيعون - they are able (to find)| سبيلا - a way.| | ||||||
| 12 [26:211] | Wama yanbaghee lahum wamayastateeAAoona | وما ينبغي لهم وما يستطيعون وَمَا يَنبَغِي لَهُمْ وَمَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ | |||||

| 13 [36:50] | Fala yastateeAAoona tawsiyatanwala ila ahlihim yarjiAAoona | فلا يستطيعون توصية ولا إلى أهلهم يرجعون فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ تَوْصِيَةً وَلَا إِلَى أَهْلِهِمْ يَرْجِعُونَ | |||||

| 14 [36:75] | La yastateeAAoona nasrahumwahum lahum jundun muhdaroona | لا يستطيعون نصرهم وهم لهم جند محضرون لَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ نَصْرَهُمْ وَهُمْ لَهُمْ جُندٌ مُّحْضَرُونَ | |||||
