| 1 [2:65] | Walaqad AAalimtumu allatheenaiAAtadaw minkum fee alssabti faqulna lahum koonooqiradatan khasi-eena |  ولقد علمتم الذين اعتدوا منكم في السبت فقلنا لهم كونوا قردة خاسئينوَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتُمُ الَّذِينَ اعْتَدَواْ مِنكُمْ فِي السَّبْتِ فَقُلْنَا لَهُمْ كُونُواْ قِرَدَةً خَاسِئِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And indeed,| علمتم - you knew| الذين - those who| اعتدوا - transgressed| منكم - among you| في - in| السبت - the (matter of) Sabbath.| فقلنا - So We said| لهم - to them,| كونوا - "Be| قردة - apes,| خاسئين - despised."| | ||||||
| 2 [2:87] | Walaqad atayna moosaalkitaba waqaffayna min baAAdihi bialrrusuliwaatayna AAeesa ibna maryama albayyinatiwaayyadnahu biroohi alqudusi afakullama jaakumrasoolun bima la tahwa anfusukumuistakbartum fafareeqan kaththabtum wafareeqan taqtuloona | ولقد آتينا موسى الكتاب وقفينا من بعده بالرسل وآتينا عيسى ابن مريم البينات وأيدناه بروح القدس أفكلما جاءكم رسول بما لا تهوى أنفسكم استكبرتم ففريقا كذبتم وفريقا تقتلون وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ وَقَفَّيْنَا مِنْ بَعْدِهِ بِالرُّسُلِ وَآتَيْنَا عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ الْبَيِّنَاتِ وَأَيَّدْنَاهُ بِرُوحِ الْقُدُسِ أَفَكُلَّمَا جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولٌ بِمَا لاَ تَهْوَى أَنفُسُكُمُ اسْتَكْبَرْتُمْ فَفَرِيقاً كَذَّبْتُمْ وَفَرِيقاً تَقْتُلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And indeed| آتينا - We gave| موسى - Musa| الكتاب - the Book| وقفينا - and We followed up| من - from| بعده - after him| بالرسل - with [the] Messengers.| وآتينا - And We gave| عيسى - Isa,| ابن - (the) son| مريم - (of) Maryam,| البينات - [the] clear signs| وأيدناه - and We supported him| بروح - (with)| القدس - the Holy Spirit.| أفكلما - Is it (not) so (that) whenever| جاءكم - came to you| رسول - a Messenger| بما - with what| لا - (does) not| تهوى - desire| أنفسكم - yourselves,| استكبرتم - you acted arrogantly?| ففريقا - So a party| كذبتم - you denied,| وفريقا - and a party| تقتلون - you kill(ed).| | ||||||
| 3 [2:92] | Walaqad jaakum moosa bialbayyinatithumma ittakhathtumu alAAijla min baAAdihi waantum thalimoona | ولقد جاءكم موسى بالبينات ثم اتخذتم العجل من بعده وأنتم ظالمون وَلَقَدْ جَاءَكُمْ مُّوسَى بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ ثُمَّ اتَّخَذْتُمُ الْعِجْلَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ وَأَنتُمْ ظَالِمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And indeed| جاءكم - came to you| موسى - Musa| بالبينات - with [the] clear signs,| ثم - then| اتخذتم - you took| العجل - the calf| من - from| بعده - after him| وأنتم - and you| ظالمون - (were) wrongdoers.| | ||||||
| 4 [2:99] | Walaqad anzalna ilayka ayatinbayyinatin wama yakfuru biha illa alfasiqoona | ولقد أنزلنا إليك آيات بينات وما يكفر بها إلا الفاسقون وَلَقَدْ أَنزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكَ آيَاتٍ بَيِّنَاتٍ وَمَا يَكْفُرُ بِهَا إِلاَّ الْفَاسِقُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And indeed| أنزلنا - We revealed| إليك - to you| آيات - Verses| بينات - clear,| وما - and not| يكفر - disbelieves| بها - in them| إلا - except| الفاسقون - the defiantly disobedient.| | ||||||
| 5 [2:102] | WaittabaAAoo ma tatloo alshshayateenuAAala mulki sulaymana wama kafara sulaymanuwalakinna alshshayateena kafarooyuAAallimoona alnnasa alssihra wamaonzila AAala almalakayni bibabila harootawamaroota wama yuAAallimani min ahadinhatta yaqoola innama nahnufitnatun fala takfur fayataAAallamoona minhuma mayufarriqoona bihi bayna almar-i wazawjihi wama hum bidarreenabihi min ahadin illa bi-ithni AllahiwayataAAallamoona ma yadurruhum walayanfaAAuhum walaqad AAalimoo lamani ishtarahu malahu fee al-akhirati min khalaqin walabi/sa masharaw bihi anfusahum law kanoo yaAAlamoona | واتبعوا ما تتلو الشياطين على ملك سليمان وما كفر سليمان ولكن الشياطين كفروا يعلمون الناس السحر وما أنزل على الملكين ببابل هاروت وماروت وما يعلمان من أحد حتى يقولا إنما نحن فتنة فلا تكفر فيتعلمون منهما ما يفرقون به بين المرء وزوجه وما هم بضارين به من أحد إلا بإذن الله ويتعلمون ما يضرهم ولا ينفعهم ولقد علموا لمن اشتراه ما له في الآخرة من خلاق ولبئس ما شروا به أنفسهم لو كانوا يعلمون وَاتَّبَعُواْ مَا تَتْلُواْ الشَّيَاطِينُ عَلَى مُلْكِ سُلَيْمَانَ وَمَا كَفَرَ سُلَيْمَانُ وَلَـكِنَّ الشَّيَاطِينَ كَفَرُواْ يُعَلِّمُونَ النَّاسَ السِّحْرَ وَمَا أُنزِلَ عَلَى الْمَلَكَيْنِ بِبَابِلَ هَارُوتَ وَمَارُوتَ وَمَا يُعَلِّمَانِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ حَتَّى يَقُولاَ إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ فِتْنَةٌ فَلاَ تَكْفُرْ فَيَتَعَلَّمُونَ مِنْهُمَا مَا يُفَرِّقُونَ بِهِ بَيْنَ الْمَرْءِ وَزَوْجِهِ وَمَا هُم بِضَآرِّينَ بِهِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِ اللّهِ وَيَتَعَلَّمُونَ مَا يَضُرُّهُمْ وَلاَ يَنفَعُهُمْ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمُواْ لَمَنِ اشْتَرَاهُ مَا لَهُ فِي الآخِرَةِ مِنْ خَلاَقٍ وَلَبِئْسَ مَا شَرَوْاْ بِهِ أَنفُسَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُواْ يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |واتبعوا - And they followed| ما - what| تتلو - recite(d)| الشياطين - the devils| على - over| ملك - (the) kingdom| سليمان - (of) Sulaiman.| وما - And not| كفر - disbelieved| سليمان - Sulaiman| ولكن - [and] but| الشياطين - the devils| كفروا - disbelieved,| يعلمون - they teach| الناس - the people| السحر - [the] magic| وما - and what| أنزل - was sent down| على - to| الملكين - the two angels| ببابل - in Babylon,| هاروت - Harut| وماروت - and Marut.| وما - And not| يعلمان - they both teach| من - any| أحد - one| حتى - unless| يقولا - they [both] say,| إنما - "Only| نحن - we| فتنة - (are) a trial,| فلا - so (do) not| تكفر - disbelieve."| فيتعلمون - But they learn| منهما - from those two| ما - what| يفرقون - [they] causes separation| به - with it| بين - between| المرء - the man| وزوجه - and his spouse.| وما - And not| هم - they (could)| بضارين - at all [be those who] harm| به - with it| من - any| أحد - one| إلا - except| بإذن - by permission| الله - (of) Allah.| ويتعلمون - And they learn| ما - what| يضرهم - harms them| ولا - and not| ينفعهم - profits them.| ولقد - And indeed| علموا - they knew| لمن - that whoever| اشتراه - buys it,| ما - not| له - for him| في - in| الآخرة - the Hereafter| من - any| خلاق - share.| ولبئس - And surely evil| ما - (is) what| شروا - they sold| به - with it| أنفسهم - themselves,| لو - if| كانوا - they were| يعلمون - (to) know.| | ||||||
| 6 [2:130] | Waman yarghabu AAan millati ibraheemailla man safiha nafsahu walaqadi istafaynahufee alddunya wa-innahu fee al-akhiratilamina alssaliheena | ومن يرغب عن ملة إبراهيم إلا من سفه نفسه ولقد اصطفيناه في الدنيا وإنه في الآخرة لمن الصالحين وَمَن يَرْغَبُ عَن مِّلَّةِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِلاَّ مَن سَفِهَ نَفْسَهُ وَلَقَدِ اصْطَفَيْنَاهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَإِنَّهُ فِي الآخِرَةِ لَمِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ومن - And who| يرغب - will turn away| عن - from| ملة - (the) religion| إبراهيم - (of) Ibrahim| إلا - except| من - who| سفه - fooled| نفسه - himself?| ولقد - And indeed| اصطفيناه - We chose him| في - in| الدنيا - the world,| وإنه - and indeed he,| في - in,| الآخرة - the Hereafter| لمن - surely (will be) among| الصالحين - the righteous.| | ||||||
| 7 [3:123] | Walaqad nasarakumu Allahubibadrin waantum athillatun faittaqoo AllahalaAAallakum tashkuroona | ولقد نصركم الله ببدر وأنتم أذلة فاتقوا الله لعلكم تشكرون وَلَقَدْ نَصَرَكُمُ اللّهُ بِبَدْرٍ وَأَنتُمْ أَذِلَّةٌ فَاتَّقُواْ اللّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And certainly| نصركم - helped you| الله - Allah| ببدر - in Badr| وأنتم - while you (were)| أذلة - weak.| فاتقوا - So fear| الله - Allah| لعلكم - so that you may| تشكرون - (be) grateful.| | ||||||
| 8 [3:143] | Walaqad kuntum tamannawna almawta min qablian talqawhu faqad raaytumoohu waantum tanthuroona | ولقد كنتم تمنون الموت من قبل أن تلقوه فقد رأيتموه وأنتم تنظرون وَلَقَدْ كُنتُمْ تَمَنَّوْنَ الْمَوْتَ مِن قَبْلِ أَن تَلْقَوْهُ فَقَدْ رَأَيْتُمُوهُ وَأَنتُمْ تَنظُرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And certainly| كنتم - you used to| تمنون - wish| الموت - (for) death| من - from| قبل - before| أن - [that]| تلقوه - you met it,| فقد - then indeed,| رأيتموه - you have seen it| وأنتم - while you (were)| تنظرون - looking on.| | ||||||
| 9 [3:152] | Walaqad sadaqakumu AllahuwaAAdahu ith tahussoonahum bi-ithnihi hattaitha fashiltum watanazaAAtum fee al-amri waAAasaytummin baAAdi ma arakum ma tuhibboonaminkum man yureedu alddunya waminkum man yureedual-akhirata thumma sarafakum AAanhum liyabtaliyakumwalaqad AAafa AAankum waAllahu thoofadlin AAala almu/mineena | ولقد صدقكم الله وعده إذ تحسونهم بإذنه حتى إذا فشلتم وتنازعتم في الأمر وعصيتم من بعد ما أراكم ما تحبون منكم من يريد الدنيا ومنكم من يريد الآخرة ثم صرفكم عنهم ليبتليكم ولقد عفا عنكم والله ذو فضل على المؤمنين وَلَقَدْ صَدَقَكُمُ اللّهُ وَعْدَهُ إِذْ تَحُسُّونَهُم بِإِذْنِهِ حَتَّى إِذَا فَشِلْتُمْ وَتَنَازَعْتُمْ فِي الْأَمْرِ وَعَصَيْتُم مِّن بَعْدِ مَا أَرَاكُم مَّا تُحِبُّونَ مِنكُم مَّن يُرِيدُ الدُّنْيَا وَمِنكُم مَّن يُرِيدُ الْآخِرَةَ ثُمَّ صَرَفَكُمْ عَنْهُمْ لِيَبْتَلِيَكُمْ وَلَقَدْ عَفَا عَنكُمْ وَاللّهُ ذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And certainly| صدقكم - fulfilled to you| الله - Allah| وعده - His promise,| إذ - when| تحسونهم - you were killing them| بإذنه - by His permission,| حتى - until| إذا - when| فشلتم - you lost courage| وتنازعتم - and you fell into dispute| في - concerning| الأمر - the order| وعصيتم - and you disobeyed| من - from| بعد - after| ما - [what]| أراكم - He (had) shown you| ما - what| تحبون - you love.| منكم - Among you| من - (are some) who| يريد - desire| الدنيا - the world| ومنكم - and among you| من - (are some) who| يريد - desire| الآخرة - the Hereafter.| ثم - Then| صرفكم - He diverted you| عنهم - from them| ليبتليكم - so that He may test you.| ولقد - And surely| عفا - He forgave| عنكم - you.| والله - And Allah| ذو - (is the) Possessor| فضل - (of) Bounty| على - for| المؤمنين - the believers.| | ||||||
| 10 [3:155] | Inna allatheena tawallaw minkumyawma iltaqa aljamAAani innama istazallahumualshshaytanu bibaAAdi ma kasaboowalaqad AAafa Allahu AAanhum inna Allahaghafoorun haleemun | إن الذين تولوا منكم يوم التقى الجمعان إنما استزلهم الشيطان ببعض ما كسبوا ولقد عفا الله عنهم إن الله غفور حليم إِنَّ الَّذِينَ تَوَلَّوْاْ مِنكُمْ يَوْمَ الْتَقَى الْجَمْعَانِ إِنَّمَا اسْتَزَلَّهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ بِبَعْضِ مَا كَسَبُواْ وَلَقَدْ عَفَا اللّهُ عَنْهُمْ إِنَّ اللّهَ غَفُورٌ حَلِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |إن - Indeed,| الذين - those who| تولوا - turned back| منكم - among you| يوم - (on the) day| التقى - met| الجمعان - the two hosts -| إنما - only| استزلهم - made them slip| الشيطان - the Shaitaan| ببعض - for some| ما - (of) what| كسبوا - they (had) earned.| ولقد - And surely| عفا - forgave| الله - Allah| عنهم - [on] them,| إن - indeed,| الله - Allah| غفور - (is) Oft-Forgiving,| حليم - All-Forbearing.| | ||||||
| 11 [4:131] | Walillahi ma fee alssamawatiwama fee al-ardi walaqad wassaynaallatheena ootoo alkitaba min qablikum wa-iyyakumani ittaqoo Allaha wa-in takfuroo fa-inna lillahi mafee alssamawati wama fee al-ardiwakana Allahu ghaniyyan hameedan | ولله ما في السماوات وما في الأرض ولقد وصينا الذين أوتوا الكتاب من قبلكم وإياكم أن اتقوا الله وإن تكفروا فإن لله ما في السماوات وما في الأرض وكان الله غنيا حميدا وَلِلّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَقَدْ وَصَّيْنَا الَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ الْكِتَابَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ وَإِيَّاكُمْ أَنِ اتَّقُواْ اللّهَ وَإِن تَكْفُرُواْ فَإِنَّ لِلّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَكَانَ اللّهُ غَنِيًّا حَمِيدًا | |||||
| Words | |ولله - And for Allah| ما - (is) whatever| في - (is) in| السماوات - the heavens| وما - and whatever| في - (is) in| الأرض - the earth.| ولقد - And surely| وصينا - We have instructed| الذين - those who| أوتوا - were given| الكتاب - the Book| من - from| قبلكم - before you| وإياكم - and yourselves| أن - that| اتقوا - you fear| الله - Allah.| وإن - But if| تكفروا - you disbelieve -| فإن - then indeed| لله - for Allah| ما - (is) whatever| في - (is) in| السماوات - the heavens| وما - and whatever| في - (is) in| الأرض - the earth.| وكان - And is| الله - Allah| غنيا - Free of need,| حميدا - Praiseworthy.| | ||||||
| 12 [5:12] | Walaqad akhatha Allahu meethaqabanee isra-eela wabaAAathna minhumu ithnay AAasharanaqeeban waqala Allahu innee maAAakum la-inaqamtumu alssalata waataytumu alzzakatawaamantum birusulee waAAazzartumoohum waaqradtumuAllaha qardan hasanan laokaffiranna AAankumsayyi-atikum walaodkhilannakum jannatin tajree mintahtiha al-anharu faman kafara baAAda thalikaminkum faqad dalla sawaa alssabeeli | ولقد أخذ الله ميثاق بني إسرائيل وبعثنا منهم اثني عشر نقيبا وقال الله إني معكم لئن أقمتم الصلاة وآتيتم الزكاة وآمنتم برسلي وعزرتموهم وأقرضتم الله قرضا حسنا لأكفرن عنكم سيئاتكم ولأدخلنكم جنات تجري من تحتها الأنهار فمن كفر بعد ذلك منكم فقد ضل سواء السبيل وَلَقَدْ أَخَذَ اللّهُ مِيثَاقَ بَنِي إِسْرَآئِيلَ وَبَعَثْنَا مِنهُمُ اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ نَقِيبًا وَقَالَ اللّهُ إِنِّي مَعَكُمْ لَئِنْ أَقَمْتُمُ الصَّلاَةَ وَآتَيْتُمُ الزَّكَاةَ وَآمَنتُم بِرُسُلِي وَعَزَّرْتُمُوهُمْ وَأَقْرَضْتُمُ اللّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا لَّأُكَفِّرَنَّ عَنكُمْ سَيِّئَاتِكُمْ وَلَأُدْخِلَنَّكُمْ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ فَمَن كَفَرَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ مِنكُمْ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ سَوَاءَ السَّبِيلِ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And certainly| أخذ - took| الله - Allah| ميثاق - a Covenant| بني - (from the) Children| إسرائيل - (of) Israel| وبعثنا - and We appointed| منهم - among them| اثني - two| عشر - (and) ten| نقيبا - leaders.| وقال - And said| الله - Allah,| إني - "Indeed, I (am)| معكم - with you,| لئن - if| أقمتم - you establish| الصلاة - the prayer| وآتيتم - and give| الزكاة - the zakah| وآمنتم - and you believe| برسلي - in My Messengers| وعزرتموهم - and you assist them| وأقرضتم - and you loan| الله - (to) Allah| قرضا - a loan| حسنا - goodly| لأكفرن - surely I will remove| عنكم - from you| سيئاتكم - your evil deeds| ولأدخلنكم - and I will surely admit you| جنات - (to) gardens| تجري - flow| من - from| تحتها - underneath them| الأنهار - the rivers.| فمن - But whoever| كفر - disbelieved| بعد - after| ذلك - that| منكم - among you,| فقد - then certainly| ضل - he strayed| سواء - (from) the way,| السبيل - the right.| | ||||||
| 13 [5:32] | Min ajli thalika katabna AAalabanee isra-eela annahu man qatala nafsan bighayri nafsinaw fasadin fee al-ardi fakaannama qatala alnnasajameeAAan waman ahyaha fakaannama ahyaalnnasa jameeAAan walaqad jaat-hum rusulunabialbayyinati thumma inna katheeran minhum baAAda thalikafee al-ardi lamusrifoona | من أجل ذلك كتبنا على بني إسرائيل أنه من قتل نفسا بغير نفس أو فساد في الأرض فكأنما قتل الناس جميعا ومن أحياها فكأنما أحيا الناس جميعا ولقد جاءتهم رسلنا بالبينات ثم إن كثيرا منهم بعد ذلك في الأرض لمسرفون مِنْ أَجْلِ ذَلِكَ كَتَبْنَا عَلَى بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ أَنَّهُ مَن قَتَلَ نَفْسًا بِغَيْرِ نَفْسٍ أَوْ فَسَادٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَكَأَنَّمَا قَتَلَ النَّاسَ جَمِيعًا وَمَنْ أَحْيَاهَا فَكَأَنَّمَا أَحْيَا النَّاسَ جَمِيعًا وَلَقَدْ جَاءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُنَا بِالبَيِّنَاتِ ثُمَّ إِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنْهُم بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فِي الْأَرْضِ لَمُسْرِفُونَ | |||||
| Words | |من - From| أجل - time| ذلك - that,| كتبنا - We ordained| على - on| بني - (the) Children| إسرائيل - (of) Israel| أنه - that he| من - who| قتل - kills| نفسا - a soul| بغير - other than| نفس - (for) a soul| أو - or| فساد - (for) spreading corruption| في - in| الأرض - the earth| فكأنما - then (it) is as if| قتل - he has killed| الناس - mankind,| جميعا - all,| ومن - and whoever| أحياها - saves it| فكأنما - then (it) is as if| أحيا - he has saved| الناس - mankind.| جميعا - all.| ولقد - And surely| جاءتهم - came to them| رسلنا - Our Messengers| بالبينات - with clear Signs| ثم - yet,| إن - indeed,| كثيرا - many| منهم - of them| بعد - after| ذلك - that| في - in| الأرض - the earth| لمسرفون - (are) surely those who commit excesses.| | ||||||
| 14 [6:10] | Walaqadi istuhzi-a birusulin min qablika fahaqabiallatheena sakhiroo minhum ma kanoobihi yastahzi-oona | ولقد استهزئ برسل من قبلك فحاق بالذين سخروا منهم ما كانوا به يستهزئون وَلَقَدِ اسْتُهْزِئَ بِرُسُلٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَحَاقَ بِالَّذِينَ سَخِرُواْ مِنْهُم مَّا كَانُواْ بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِؤُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And indeed| استهزئ - were mocked| برسل - Messengers| من - from| قبلك - before you| فحاق - but surrounded| بالذين - those who| سخروا - scoffed| منهم - of them| ما - what| كانوا - they used to| به - [at it]| يستهزئون - mock.| | ||||||
| 15 [6:34] | Walaqad kuththibat rusulun minqablika fasabaroo AAala ma kuththiboowaoothoo hatta atahum nasrunawala mubaddila likalimati Allahi walaqad jaakamin naba-i almursaleena | ولقد كذبت رسل من قبلك فصبروا على ما كذبوا وأوذوا حتى أتاهم نصرنا ولا مبدل لكلمات الله ولقد جاءك من نبإ المرسلين وَلَقَدْ كُذِّبَتْ رُسُلٌ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَصَبَرُواْ عَلَى مَا كُذِّبُواْ وَأُوذُواْ حَتَّى أَتَاهُمْ نَصْرُنَا وَلاَ مُبَدِّلَ لِكَلِمَاتِ اللّهِ وَلَقدْ جَاءَكَ مِن نَّبَإِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And surely| كذبت - were rejected| رسل - Messengers| من - from| قبلك - before you,| فصبروا - but they were patient| على - over| ما - what| كذبوا - they were rejected| وأوذوا - and they were harmed| حتى - until| أتاهم - came to them| نصرنا - Our help.| ولا - And no| مبدل - one (can) alter| لكلمات - (the) words| الله - (of) Allah,| ولقد - and surely| جاءك - has come to you| من - of| نبإ - (the) news| المرسلين - (of) the Messengers.| | ||||||
| 16 [6:42] | Walaqad arsalna ila omamin minqablika faakhathnahum bialba/sa-i waalddarra-ilaAAallahum yatadarraAAoona | ولقد أرسلنا إلى أمم من قبلك فأخذناهم بالبأساء والضراء لعلهم يتضرعون وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَى أُمَمٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَأَخَذْنَاهُمْ بِالْبَأْسَاءِ وَالضَّرَّاءِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَضَرَّعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And certainly| أرسلنا - We sent (Messengers)| إلى - to| أمم - nations| من - from| قبلك - before you,| فأخذناهم - then We seized them| بالبأساء - with adversity| والضراء - and hardship| لعلهم - so that they may| يتضرعون - humble themselves.| | ||||||
| 17 [6:94] | Walaqad ji/tumoona furadakama khalaqnakum awwala marratin wataraktum makhawwalnakum waraa thuhoorikum wamanara maAAakum shufaAAaakumu allatheenazaAAamtum annahum feekum shurakao laqad taqattaAAabaynakum wadalla AAankum ma kuntum tazAAumoona | ولقد جئتمونا فرادى كما خلقناكم أول مرة وتركتم ما خولناكم وراء ظهوركم وما نرى معكم شفعاءكم الذين زعمتم أنهم فيكم شركاء لقد تقطع بينكم وضل عنكم ما كنتم تزعمون وَلَقَدْ جِئْتُمُونَا فُرَادَى كَمَا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَتَرَكْتُم مَّا خَوَّلْنَاكُمْ وَرَاءَ ظُهُورِكُمْ وَمَا نَرَى مَعَكُمْ شُفَعَاءَكُمُ الَّذِينَ زَعَمْتُمْ أَنَّهُمْ فِيكُمْ شُرَكَاءَ لَقَد تَّقَطَّعَ بَيْنَكُمْ وَضَلَّ عَنكُم مَّا كُنتُمْ تَزْعُمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And certainly| جئتمونا - you have come to Us| فرادى - alone| كما - as| خلقناكم - We created you| أول - (the) first| مرة - time,| وتركتم - and you have left| ما - whatever| خولناكم - We bestowed (on) you| وراء - behind| ظهوركم - your backs.| وما - And not| نرى - We see| معكم - with you| شفعاءكم - your intercessors| الذين - those whom| زعمتم - you claimed| أنهم - that they (were)| فيكم - in your (matters)| شركاء - partners (with Allah).| لقد - Indeed,| تقطع - have been severed (bonds)| بينكم - between you| وضل - and is lost| عنكم - from you| ما - what| كنتم - you used to| تزعمون - claim."| | ||||||
| 18 [7:10] | Walaqad makkannakum fee al-ardiwajaAAalna lakum feeha maAAayisha qaleelan matashkuroona | ولقد مكناكم في الأرض وجعلنا لكم فيها معايش قليلا ما تشكرون وَلَقَدْ مَكَّنَّاكُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَجَعَلْنَا لَكُمْ فِيهَا مَعَايِشَ قَلِيلاً مَّا تَشْكُرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And certainly| مكناكم - We established you| في - in| الأرض - the earth| وجعلنا - and We made| لكم - for you| فيها - in it| معايش - livelihood.| قليلا - Little| ما - (is) what| تشكرون - you (are) grateful.| | ||||||
| 19 [7:11] | Walaqad khalaqnakum thumma sawwarnakumthumma qulna lilmala-ikati osjudoo li-adamafasajadoo illa ibleesa lam yakun mina alssajideena | ولقد خلقناكم ثم صورناكم ثم قلنا للملائكة اسجدوا لآدم فسجدوا إلا إبليس لم يكن من الساجدين وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَاكُمْ ثُمَّ صَوَّرْنَاكُمْ ثُمَّ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَآئِكَةِ اسْجُدُواْ لِآدَمَ فَسَجَدُواْ إِلاَّ إِبْلِيسَ لَمْ يَكُن مِّنَ السَّاجِدِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And certainly| خلقناكم - We created you| ثم - then| صورناكم - We fashioned you.| ثم - Then| قلنا - We said| للملائكة - to the Angels,| اسجدوا - "Prostrate| لآدم - to Adam,"| فسجدوا - So they prostrated,| إلا - except| إبليس - Iblis.| لم - Not| يكن - he was| من - of| الساجدين - those who prostrated.| | ||||||
| 20 [7:52] | Walaqad ji/nahum bikitabin fassalnahuAAala AAilmin hudan warahmatan liqawmin yu/minoona | ولقد جئناهم بكتاب فصلناه على علم هدى ورحمة لقوم يؤمنون وَلَقَدْ جِئْنَاهُم بِكِتَابٍ فَصَّلْنَاهُ عَلَى عِلْمٍ هُدًى وَرَحْمَةً لِّقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And certainly| جئناهم - We had brought them| بكتاب - a Book| فصلناه - which We have explained| على - with| علم - knowledge -| هدى - as guidance| ورحمة - and mercy| لقوم - for a people| يؤمنون - who believe.| | ||||||
