بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [3:123] | Walaqad nasarakumu Allahubibadrin waantum athillatun faittaqoo AllahalaAAallakum tashkuroona
| ولقد نصركم الله ببدر وأنتم أذلة فاتقوا الله لعلكم تشكرون وَلَقَدْ نَصَرَكُمُ اللّهُ بِبَدْرٍ وَأَنتُمْ أَذِلَّةٌ فَاتَّقُواْ اللّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ |
Words | |ولقد - And certainly| نصركم - helped you| الله - Allah| ببدر - in Badr| وأنتم - while you (were)| أذلة - weak.| فاتقوا - So fear| الله - Allah| لعلكم - so that you may| تشكرون - (be) grateful.| |

| በበድርም እናንተ ጥቂቶች ኾናችሁ ሳለ አላህ በእርግጥ ረዳችሁ፡፡ አላህንም ታመሰግኑ ዘንድ ፍሩት፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | ونزل لما هزموا تذكيرا لهم بنعمة الله { ولقد نصركم الله ببدر } موضع بين مكة والمدينة { وأنتم أذلة } بقلة العدد والسلاح { فاتقوا الله لعلكم تشكرون } نعمه . |
| Ni$ Iâiwen ikwen Öebbi di Badô, mi tellam tendellem. Ihi, êezzbet i Öebbi, amar a ppesnemmrem. |
মুহিউদ্দীন খান | বস্তুতঃ আল্লাহ বদরের যুদ্ধে তোমাদের সাহায্য করেছেন, অথচ তোমরা ছিলে দুর্বল। কাজেই আল্লাহকে ভয় করতে থাক, যাতে তোমরা কৃতজ্ঞ হতে পারো। |
Literal | And God had (E) given you victory/aid with (at) Badr , and you are humiliated/disgraced , so fear and obey God, maybe/perhaps you thank/be grateful. |
Yusuf Ali | Allah had helped you at Badr, when ye were a contemptible little force; then fear Allah; thus May ye show your gratitude. |
Pickthal | Allah had already given you the victory at Badr, when ye were contemptible. So observe your duty to Allah in order that ye may be thankful. |
Arberry | and God most surely helped you at Badr, when you were utterly abject. So fear God, and haply you Will be thankful. |
Shakir | And Allah did certainly assist you at Badr when you were weak; be careful of (your duty to) Allah then, that you may give thanks. |
Sarwar | God gave you victory in the battle of Badr where your forces were much weaker than those of the enemy. Have fear of God so that you may give Him thanks |
