| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[6:10] | Walaqadi istuhzi-a birusulin min qablika fahaqabiallatheena sakhiroo minhum ma kanoobihi yastahzi-oona
|  ولقد استهزئ برسل من قبلك فحاق بالذين سخروا منهم ما كانوا به يستهزئون
وَلَقَدِ اسْتُهْزِئَ بِرُسُلٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَحَاقَ بِالَّذِينَ سَخِرُواْ مِنْهُم مَّا كَانُواْ بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِؤُونَ |
| Words | |ولقد - And indeed| استهزئ - were mocked| برسل - Messengers| من - from| قبلك - before you| فحاق - but surrounded| بالذين - those who| سخروا - scoffed| منهم - of them| ما - what| كانوا - they used to| به - [at it]| يستهزئون - mock.| |

| ካንተ በፊትም በመልክተኞች በእርግጥ ተላግጧል፡፡ በእነዚያም ከእነሱ ባላገጡት ላይ በእርሱ ያላግጡ የነበሩት ነገር (ቅጣት) ወረደባቸው፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { ولقد استُهزئ برسل من قبلك } فيه تسلية للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم { فحاق } نزل { بالذين سخروا منهم ما كانوا به يستهزئون } وهو العذاب فكذا يحيق بمن استهزأ بك . |
| Ni$ mmaâlken $ef imazanen, uqbel ik. Ayen i$ef ttihin, izzi i wid, segsen, immaâlken. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | নিশ্চয়ই আপনার পূর্ববর্তী পয়গম্বরগণের সাথেও উপহাস করা হয়েছে। অতঃপর যারা তাঁদের সাথে উপহাস করেছিল, তাদেরকে ঐ শাস্তি বেষ্টন করে নিল, যা নিয়ে তারা উপহাস করত। |
| Literal | And had been mocked at messengers from before you, so those who mocked from them were afflicted/surrounded with what they were with it mocking/making fun. |
| Yusuf Ali | Mocked were (many) messengers before thee; but their scoffers were hemmed in by the thing that they mocked. |
| Pickthal | Messengers (of Allah) have been derided before thee, but that whereat they scoffed surrounded such of them as did deride. |
| Arberry | Messengers indeed were mocked at before thee; but those that scoffed at them were encompassed by that they mocked at. |
