| 1 [6:6] | Alam yaraw kam ahlakna min qablihimmin qarnin makkannahum fee al-ardi ma lamnumakkin lakum waarsalna alssamaa AAalayhimmidraran wajaAAalna al-anhara tajree min tahtihimfaahlaknahum bithunoobihim waansha/na minbaAAdihim qarnan akhareena |  ألم يروا كم أهلكنا من قبلهم من قرن مكناهم في الأرض ما لم نمكن لكم وأرسلنا السماء عليهم مدرارا وجعلنا الأنهار تجري من تحتهم فأهلكناهم بذنوبهم وأنشأنا من بعدهم قرنا آخرينأَلَمْ يَرَوْاْ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن قَرْنٍ مَّكَّنَّاهُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ مَا لَمْ نُمَكِّن لَّكُمْ وَأَرْسَلْنَا السَّمَاءَ عَلَيْهِم مِّدْرَارًا وَجَعَلْنَا الْأَنْهَارَ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهِمْ فَأَهْلَكْنَاهُم بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَأَنْشَأْنَا مِن بَعْدِهِمْ قَرْنًا آخَرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ألم - Did not| يروا - they see| كم - how many| أهلكنا - We destroyed| من - from| قبلهم - before them| من - of| قرن - generations| مكناهم - We had established them| في - in| الأرض - the earth| ما - what| لم - not| نمكن - We (have) established| لكم - for you?| وأرسلنا - And We sent| السماء - (rain from) the sky| عليهم - upon them| مدرارا - showering abundantly| وجعلنا - and We made| الأنهار - the rivers| تجري - flow| من - from| تحتهم - underneath them.| فأهلكناهم - Then We destroyed them| بذنوبهم - for their sins| وأنشأنا - and We raised| من - from| بعدهم - after them| قرنا - generations,| آخرين - other.| | ||||||
| 2 [10:13] | Walaqad ahlakna alquroona minqablikum lamma thalamoo wajaat-humrusuluhum bialbayyinati wama kanooliyu/minoo kathalika najzee alqawma almujrimeena | ولقد أهلكنا القرون من قبلكم لما ظلموا وجاءتهم رسلهم بالبينات وما كانوا ليؤمنوا كذلك نجزي القوم المجرمين وَلَقَدْ أَهْلَكْنَا الْقُرُونَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَمَّا ظَلَمُواْ وَجَاءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ وَمَا كَانُواْ لِيُؤْمِنُواْ كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْقَوْمَ الْمُجْرِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And verily| أهلكنا - We destroyed| القرون - the generations| من - before you| قبلكم - before you| لما - when| ظلموا - they wronged,| وجاءتهم - and came to them| رسلهم - their Messengers| بالبينات - with clear proofs,| وما - but not| كانوا - they were| ليؤمنوا - to believe.| كذلك - Thus| نجزي - We recompense| القوم - the people| المجرمين - (who are) criminals.| | ||||||
| 3 [15:4] | Wama ahlakna min qaryatin illawalaha kitabun maAAloomun | وما أهلكنا من قرية إلا ولها كتاب معلوم وَمَا أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَرْيَةٍ إِلاَّ وَلَهَا كِتَابٌ مَّعْلُومٌ | |||||
| Words | |وما - And not| أهلكنا - We destroyed| من - any| قرية - town| إلا - but| ولها - (there was) for it| كتاب - a decree| معلوم - known.| | ||||||
| 4 [17:17] | Wakam ahlakna mina alqurooni minbaAAdi noohin wakafa birabbika bithunoobiAAibadihi khabeeran baseeran | وكم أهلكنا من القرون من بعد نوح وكفى بربك بذنوب عباده خبيرا بصيرا وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِنَ الْقُرُونِ مِن بَعْدِ نُوحٍ وَكَفَى بِرَبِّكَ بِذُنُوبِ عِبَادِهِ خَبِيرًا بَصِيرًا | |||||
| Words | |وكم - And how many| أهلكنا - We destroyed| من - from| القرون - the generations| من - after| بعد - after| نوح - Nuh!| وكفى - And sufficient| بربك - (is) your Lord| بذنوب - concerning the sins| عباده - (of) His servants| خبيرا - All-Aware,| بصيرا - All-Seer.| | ||||||
| 5 [19:74] | Wakam ahlakna qablahum min qarnin humahsanu athathan wari/yan | وكم أهلكنا قبلهم من قرن هم أحسن أثاثا ورئيا وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْنٍ هُمْ أَحْسَنُ أَثَاثًا وَرِئْيًا | |||||
| Words | |وكم - And how many| أهلكنا - We destroyed| قبلهم - before them| من - of| قرن - a generation -| هم - they| أحسن - (were) better| أثاثا - (in) possessions| ورئيا - and appearance?| | ||||||
| 6 [19:98] | Wakam ahlakna qablahum min qarnin haltuhissu minhum min ahadin aw tasmaAAu lahum rikzan | وكم أهلكنا قبلهم من قرن هل تحس منهم من أحد أو تسمع لهم ركزا وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْنٍ هَلْ تُحِسُّ مِنْهُم مِّنْ أَحَدٍ أَوْ تَسْمَعُ لَهُمْ رِكْزًا | |||||
| Words | |وكم - And how many| أهلكنا - We (have) destroyed| قبلهم - before them| من - of| قرن - a generation?| هل - Can| تحس - you perceive| منهم - of them| من - any| أحد - one| أو - or| تسمع - hear| لهم - from them| ركزا - a sound?| | ||||||
| 7 [20:128] | Afalam yahdi lahum kam ahlaknaqablahum mina alqurooni yamshoona fee masakinihim inna feethalika laayatin li-olee alnnuha | أفلم يهد لهم كم أهلكنا قبلهم من القرون يمشون في مساكنهم إن في ذلك لآيات لأولي النهى أَفَلَمْ يَهْدِ لَهُمْ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّنَ الْقُرُونِ يَمْشُونَ فِي مَسَاكِنِهِمْ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِّأُوْلِي النُّهَى | |||||
| Words | |أفلم - Then has not| يهد - it guided| لهم - [for] them| كم - how many| أهلكنا - We (have) destroyed| قبلهم - before them,| من - of| القرون - the generations,| يمشون - (as) they walk| في - in| مساكنهم - their dwellings?| إن - Indeed,| في - in| ذلك - that| لآيات - surely (are) Signs| لأولي - for possessors| النهى - (of) intelligence.| | ||||||
| 8 [26:208] | Wama ahlakna min qaryatin illalaha munthiroona | وما أهلكنا من قرية إلا لها منذرون وَمَا أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَرْيَةٍ إِلَّا لَهَا مُنذِرُونَ | |||||

| 9 [28:43] | Walaqad atayna moosaalkitaba min baAAdi ma ahlakna alquroonaal-oola basa-ira lilnnasi wahudanwarahmatan laAAallahum yatathakkaroona | ولقد آتينا موسى الكتاب من بعد ما أهلكنا القرون الأولى بصائر للناس وهدى ورحمة لعلهم يتذكرون وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ مِن بَعْدِ مَا أَهْلَكْنَا الْقُرُونَ الْأُولَى بَصَائِرَ لِلنَّاسِ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةً لَّعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And verily,| آتينا - We gave| موسى - Musa| الكتاب - the Scripture,| من - after [what]| بعد - after [what]| ما - after [what]| أهلكنا - We had destroyed| القرون - the generations| الأولى - former| بصائر - (as) an enlightenment| للناس - for the mankind| وهدى - and a guidance| ورحمة - and mercy| لعلهم - that they may| يتذكرون - remember.| | ||||||
| 10 [28:58] | Wakam ahlakna min qaryatin batiratmaAAeeshataha fatilka masakinuhum lam tuskan minbaAAdihim illa qaleelan wakunna nahnu alwaritheena | وكم أهلكنا من قرية بطرت معيشتها فتلك مساكنهم لم تسكن من بعدهم إلا قليلا وكنا نحن الوارثين وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَرْيَةٍ بَطِرَتْ مَعِيشَتَهَا فَتِلْكَ مَسَاكِنُهُمْ لَمْ تُسْكَن مِّن بَعْدِهِمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا وَكُنَّا نَحْنُ الْوَارِثِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وكم - And how many| أهلكنا - We have destroyed| من - of| قرية - a town| بطرت - which exulted,| معيشتها - (in) its means of livelihood.| فتلك - And these| مساكنهم - (are) their dwellings| لم - not| تسكن - have been inhabited| من - after them| بعدهم - after them| إلا - except| قليلا - a little.| وكنا - And indeed, [We]| نحن - We| الوارثين - (are) the inheritors.| | ||||||
| 11 [32:26] | Awa lam yahdi lahum kam ahlakna minqablihim mina alqurooni yamshoona fee masakinihim inna feethalika laayatin afala yasmaAAoona | أولم يهد لهم كم أهلكنا من قبلهم من القرون يمشون في مساكنهم إن في ذلك لآيات أفلا يسمعون أَوَلَمْ يَهْدِ لَهُمْ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّنَ الْقُرُونِ يَمْشُونَ فِي مَسَاكِنِهِمْ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ أَفَلَا يَسْمَعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |أولم - Does it not| يهد - guide| لهم - [for] them,| كم - (that) how many| أهلكنا - We have destroyed| من - before them| قبلهم - before them| من - of| القرون - the generations,| يمشون - they walk about| في - in| مساكنهم - their dwellings.| إن - Indeed,| في - in| ذلك - that| لآيات - surely, are Signs.| أفلا - Then do not| يسمعون - they hear?| | ||||||
| 12 [36:31] | Alam yaraw kam ahlakna qablahum minaalqurooni annahum ilayhim la yarjiAAoona | ألم يروا كم أهلكنا قبلهم من القرون أنهم إليهم لا يرجعون أَلَمْ يَرَوْا كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّنْ الْقُرُونِ أَنَّهُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ لاَ يَرْجِعُونَ | |||||

| 13 [38:3] | Kam ahlakna min qablihim min qarninfanadaw walata heena manasin | كم أهلكنا من قبلهم من قرن فنادوا ولات حين مناص كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن قَرْنٍ فَنَادَوْا وَّلَاتَ حِينَ مَنَاصٍ | |||||
| Words | |كم - How many| أهلكنا - We destroyed| من - before them| قبلهم - before them| من - of| قرن - a generation,| فنادوا - then they called out| ولات - when there (was) no longer| حين - time| مناص - (for) escape.| | ||||||
| 14 [46:27] | Walaqad ahlakna ma hawlakummina alqura wasarrafna al-ayatilaAAallahum yarjiAAoona | ولقد أهلكنا ما حولكم من القرى وصرفنا الآيات لعلهم يرجعون وَلَقَدْ أَهْلَكْنَا مَا حَوْلَكُم مِّنَ الْقُرَى وَصَرَّفْنَا الْآيَاتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And certainly| أهلكنا - We destroyed| ما - what| حولكم - surrounds you| من - of| القرى - the towns,| وصرفنا - and We have diversified| الآيات - the Signs,| لعلهم - that they may| يرجعون - return.| | ||||||
| 15 [50:36] | Wakam ahlakna qablahum min qarnin humashaddu minhum batshan fanaqqaboo fee albiladi halmin maheesin | وكم أهلكنا قبلهم من قرن هم أشد منهم بطشا فنقبوا في البلاد هل من محيص وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْنٍ هُمْ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُم بَطْشًا فَنَقَّبُوا فِي الْبِلَادِ هَلْ مِن مَّحِيصٍ | |||||
| Words | |وكم - And how many| أهلكنا - We destroyed| قبلهم - before them| من - of| قرن - a generation,| هم - they| أشد - (were) stronger| منهم - than them| بطشا - (in) power.| فنقبوا - so they explored| في - throughout| البلاد - the lands.| هل - Is (there)| من - any| محيص - place of escape?| | ||||||
| 16 [54:51] | Walaqad ahlakna ashyaAAakumfahal min muddakirin | ولقد أهلكنا أشياعكم فهل من مدكر وَلَقَدْ أَهْلَكْنَا أَشْيَاعَكُمْ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ | |||||
