| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[19:74] | Wakam ahlakna qablahum min qarnin humahsanu athathan wari/yan
|  وكم أهلكنا قبلهم من قرن هم أحسن أثاثا ورئيا
وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْنٍ هُمْ أَحْسَنُ أَثَاثًا وَرِئْيًا |
| Words | |وكم - And how many| أهلكنا - We destroyed| قبلهم - before them| من - of| قرن - a generation -| هم - they| أحسن - (were) better| أثاثا - (in) possessions| ورئيا - and appearance?| |

| ከእነሱም በፊት ከክፍለ ዘመናት ሕዝቦች እነሱ በቁሳቁስና በትርኢትም በጣም ያማሩትን ብዙዎችን አጥፍተናል፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { وكم } أي كثيرا { أهلكنا قبلهم من قرن } أي أمة من الأمم الماضية { هم أحسن أثاثا } مالاً ومتاعا { ورئيا } منظرا من الرؤية فكما أهلكناهم لكفرهم هلك هؤلاء . |
| Acêal isuta i Nesqucc, uqbel nnsen, ifen ten tarkunt, ûûifa! |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তাদের পূর্বে কত মানব গোষ্ঠীকে আমি বিনাশ করেছি, তারা তাদের চাইতে সম্পদে ও জাঁক-জমকে শ্রেষ্ঠ ছিল। |
| Literal | And how many We destroyed from before them from people of one era/generation/century? They are better home effects/money and appearance/pleasant appearance. |
