بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [20:128] | Afalam yahdi lahum kam ahlaknaqablahum mina alqurooni yamshoona fee masakinihim inna feethalika laayatin li-olee alnnuha
| أفلم يهد لهم كم أهلكنا قبلهم من القرون يمشون في مساكنهم إن في ذلك لآيات لأولي النهى أَفَلَمْ يَهْدِ لَهُمْ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّنَ الْقُرُونِ يَمْشُونَ فِي مَسَاكِنِهِمْ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِّأُوْلِي النُّهَى |

| (ቁረይሾች) ከእነሱ በፊት ከክፍለ ዘመናት ሕዝቦች ብዙዎችን ያጠፋን መኾናችን በመኖሪያዎቻቸው የሚኼዱ ኾነው ሳሉ ለእነርሱ አልተገለጸላቸውምን በዚህ ውስጥ ለአእምሮ ባለቤቶች በእርግጥ መልክቶች አሉበት፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | { أفلم يهد } يتبين { لهم } لكفار مكة { كم } خبرية مفعول { أهلكنا } أي كثيرا إهلاكنا { قبلهم من القرون } أي الأمم الماضية بتكذيب الرسل { يمشون } حال من ضمير لهم { في مساكنهم } في سفرهم إلى الشام وغيرها فيعتبروا، وما ذكر من أخذ إهلاك من فعله الخالي عن حرف مصدري لرعاية المعنى لا مانع منه { إنَّ في ذلك لآيات } لعبراً { لأولي النهى } لذوي العقول. |
| Day ur ten inha ara wacêal isuta i Nesqucc, uqbel nnsen? La leêêun $ef tnezdu$in nnsen. Deg wayagi, s tidep, d issekniyen i imawlan n ddehn. |
মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আমি এদের পূর্বে অনেক সম্প্রদায়কে ধবংস করেছি। যাদের বাসভুমিতে এরা বিচরণ করে, এটা কি এদেরকে সৎপথ প্রদর্শন করল না? নিশ্চয় এতে বুদ্ধিমানদের জন্যে নিদর্শনাবলী রয়েছে। |
Literal | Did He not guide to them how many from the generations/peoples of eras before them We made die/destroyed , they walk in their residences, that (E) in that (are) verses/evidences/signs (E) to (owners) of the minds/reasoning powers. |
Yusuf Ali | Is it not a warning to such men (to call to mind) how many generations before them We destroyed, in whose haunts they (now) move? Verily, in this are Signs for men endued with understanding. |
