| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[75:2] | Wala oqsimu bialnnafsi allawwamati
|  ولا أقسم بالنفس اللوامة
وَلَا أُقْسِمُ بِالنَّفْسِ اللَّوَّامَةِ |
| Words | |ولا - And nay!| أقسم - I swear| بالنفس - by the soul| اللوامة - self-accusing.| |

| (ራሷን) ወቃሽ በኾነች ነፍስም እምላለሁ፡፡ (በእርግጥ ትቀሰቀሳላችሁ)፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { ولا أقسم بالنفس اللوامة } التي تلوم نفسها وإن اجتهدت في الإحسان وجواب القسم محذوف، أي لتبعثن، دل عليه: |
| Ggule$ s yiman bu tuzzma! |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আরও শপথ করি সেই মনের, যে নিজেকে ধিক্কার দেয়- |
| Literal | And nor I swear/make oath with the self , the often blaming/reprimanding. |
| Yusuf Ali | And I do call to witness the self-reproaching spirit: (Eschew Evil). |
| Pickthal | Nay, I swear by the accusing soul (that this Scripture is true). |
| Arberry | No! I swear by the reproachful soul. |
