| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[41:5] | Waqaloo quloobuna fee akinnatinmimma tadAAoona ilayhi wafee athaninawaqrun wamin baynina wabaynika hijabun faiAAmalinnana AAamiloona
|  وقالوا قلوبنا في أكنة مما تدعونا إليه وفي آذاننا وقر ومن بيننا وبينك حجاب فاعمل إننا عاملون
وَقَالُوا قُلُوبُنَا فِي أَكِنَّةٍ مِّمَّا تَدْعُونَا إِلَيْهِ وَفِي آذَانِنَا وَقْرٌ وَمِن بَيْنِنَا وَبَيْنِكَ حِجَابٌ فَاعْمَلْ إِنَّنَا عَامِلُونَ |
| Words | |وقالوا - And they say,| قلوبنا - "Our hearts| في - (are) in| أكنة - coverings| مما - from what| تدعونا - you call us| إليه - to it,| وفي - and in| آذاننا - our ears| وقر - (is) deafness,| ومن - and between us| بيننا - and between us| وبينك - and between you| حجاب - (is) a screen.| فاعمل - So work,| إننا - indeed, we| عاملون - (are) working."| |

| አሉም «ልቦቻችን ከእዚያ ወደእርሱ ከምትጠራን እምነት በመሸፈኛዎች ውስጥ ናቸው፡፡ በጆሮዎቻችንም ላይ ድንቁርና አልለ፤ በእኛና ባንተም መካከል ግርዶሽ አልለ፡፡ (በሃይማኖትህ) ሥስራም፤ እኛ ሠሪዎች ነንና፡፡» |
| آل الجلالين | { وقالوا } للنبي { قلوبنا في أكنَّةٍ } أغطية { مما تدعونا إليه وفي آذاننا وقر } ثقل { ومن بيننا وبينك حجاب } خلاف في الدين { فاعمل } على دينك { إننا عاملون } على ديننا . |
| Nnan: "ulawen nne$ ddurin i wayen i$eô la $ tneccdev; di tmejjin nne$: tiâéegt; garane$ yidek: sîeô. Ihi, exdem, nekwni la nxeddem". |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তারা বলে আপনি যে বিষয়ের দিকে আমাদের কে দাওয়াত দেন, সে বিষয়ে আমাদের অন্তর আবরণে আবৃত, আমাদের কর্ণে আছে বোঝা এবং আমাদের ও আপনার মাঝখানে আছে অন্তরাল। অতএব, আপনি আপনার কাজ করুন এবং আমরা আমাদের কাজ করি। |
| Literal | And they said: "Our hearts/minds (are) in covers/protections from what you call us to it, and in our ears (is a) weight/deafness , and from between us and between you (is) a divider/partition , so make/do , that we truly are making/doing ." |
