| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[28:60] | Wama ooteetum min shay-in famataAAualhayati alddunya wazeenatuhawama AAinda Allahi khayrun waabqa afalataAAqiloona
|  وما أوتيتم من شيء فمتاع الحياة الدنيا وزينتها وما عند الله خير وأبقى أفلا تعقلون
وَمَا أُوتِيتُم مِّن شَيْءٍ فَمَتَاعُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَزِينَتُهَا وَمَا عِندَ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَى أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ |
| Words | |وما - And whatever| أوتيتم - you have been given| من - from| شيء - things,| فمتاع - (is) an enjoyment| الحياة - (of the) life| الدنيا - (of) the world| وزينتها - and its adornment.| وما - And what| عند - (is) with| الله - Allah,| خير - (is) better| وأبقى - and more lasting.| أفلا - So (will) not| تعقلون - you use intellect?| |

| ከማንኛውም ነገር የተሰጣችሁት፤ የቅርቢቱ ሕይወት ጥቅምና ጌጧ ነው፡፡ አላህ ዘንድ ያለውም (ምንዳ) በጣም በላጭና ዘውታሪ ነው አታውቁምን |
| آل الجلالين | { وما أوتيتم من شيء فمتاع الحياة الدنيا وزينتها } تتمتعون وتتزينون به أيام حياتكم ثم يفنى { وما عند الله } أي ثوابه { خير وأبقى أفلا تعقلون } بالتاء والياء أن الباقي خير من الفاني. |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তোমাদেরকে যা কিছু দেয়া হয়েছে, তা পার্থিব জীবনের ভোগ ও শোভা বৈ নয়। আর আল্লাহর কাছে যা আছে, তা উত্তম ও স্থায়ী। তোমরা কি বোঝ না ? |
| Literal | And you were not given from a thing so enjoyment (of) the life the present/worldly life, and its decoration/beauty/ornament, and what (is) at God (is) best and more lasting/continuing (everlasting), so do you not reason/comprehend ? |
| Yusuf Ali | The (material) things which ye are given are but the conveniences of this life and the glitter thereof; but that which is with Allah is better and more enduring: will ye not then be wise? |
| Pickthal | And whatsoever ye have been given is a comfort of the life of the world and an ornament thereof; and that which Allah hath is better and more lasting. Have ye then no sense? |
