| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[28:55] | Wa-itha samiAAoo allaghwa aAAradooAAanhu waqaloo lana aAAmaluna walakumaAAmalukum salamun AAalaykum la nabtagheealjahileena
|  وإذا سمعوا اللغو أعرضوا عنه وقالوا لنا أعمالنا ولكم أعمالكم سلام عليكم لا نبتغي الجاهلين
وَإِذَا سَمِعُوا اللَّغْوَ أَعْرَضُوا عَنْهُ وَقَالُوا لَنَا أَعْمَالُنَا وَلَكُمْ أَعْمَالُكُمْ سَلَامٌ عَلَيْكُمْ لَا نَبْتَغِي الْجَاهِلِينَ |
| Words | |وإذا - And when| سمعوا - they hear| اللغو - vain talk,| أعرضوا - they turn away| عنه - from it| وقالوا - and say,| لنا - "For us| أعمالنا - our deeds| ولكم - and for you| أعمالكم - your deeds.| سلام - Peace (be)| عليكم - on you;| لا - not| نبتغي - we seek| الجاهلين - the ignorant."| |

| ውድቅንም ቃል በሰሙ ጊዜ ከእርሱ ይርቃሉ፡፡ «ለእኛ ሥራዎቻችን አሉን፡፡ ለናንተም ሥራዎቻችሁ አሏችሁ፡፡ ሰላም በእናንተ ላይ (ይኹን) ባለጌዎችን አንፈልግም» ይላሉ፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { وإذا سمعوا اللغو } الشتم والأذى من الكفار { أعرضوا عنه وقالوا لنا أعمالنا ولكم أعمالكم سلام عليكم } سلام متاركة أي سلمتم منا من الشتم وغيره { لا نبتغي الجاهلين } لا نصحبهم. |
| Mi slan i yir awal, ad as veôfen, u qaôen: "i nekwni igiten nne$, i kunwi igiten nnwen. Fellawen talwit. Ur neô$eb $ef at war tussna". |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তারা যখন অবাঞ্চিত বাজে কথাবার্তা শ্রবণ করে, তখন তা থেকে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয় এবং বলে, আমাদের জন্যে আমাদের কাজ এবং তোমাদের জন্যে তোমাদের কাজ। তোমাদের প্রতি সালাম। আমরা অজ্ঞদের সাথে জড়িত হতে চাই না। |
| Literal | And if they heard/listened (to) the nonsense/senseless talk , they turned away from it, and they said: "For us (are) our deeds, and for you, your deeds, a greeting/peace on (to) you, we do not wish/desire the lowly/ignorant ." |
