| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[17:89] | Walaqad sarrafna lilnnasifee hatha alqur-ani min kulli mathalin faabaaktharu alnnasi illa kufooran
|  ولقد صرفنا للناس في هذا القرآن من كل مثل فأبى أكثر الناس إلا كفورا
وَلَقَدْ صَرَّفْنَا لِلنَّاسِ فِي هَـذَا الْقُرْآنِ مِن كُلِّ مَثَلٍ فَأَبَى أَكْثَرُ النَّاسِ إِلاَّ كُفُورًا |
| Words | |ولقد - And verily| صرفنا - We have explained| للناس - to mankind| في - in| هذا - this| القرآن - Quran| من - from| كل - every| مثل - example,| فأبى - but refused| أكثر - most| الناس - (of) the mankind| إلا - except| كفورا - disbelief.| |

| በዚህም ቁርኣን ውስጥ ከምሳሌው ሁሉ ለሰዎች በእርግጥ መላለስን፡፡ አብዛኞቹም ሰዎች ክህደትን እንጂ ሌላን እምቢ አሉ፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { ولقد صرفنا } بينا { للناس في هذا القرآن من كل مثل } صفة لمحذوف أي مثلاً من جنس كل مثل ليتعظوا { فأبى أكثر الناس } أي أهل مكة { إلا كفورا } جحودا للحق . |
| Ni$ Nefka d i imdanen, di Leqwôan agi, si yal imedyaten. Tegwti n yimdanen ur b$in, siwa tijehli. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আমি এই কোরআনে মানুষকে বিভিন্ন উপকার দ্বারা সব রকম বিষয়বস্তু বুঝিয়েছি। কিন্তু অধিকাংশ লোক অস্বীকার না করে থাকেনি। |
| Literal | And We had laid out/detailed linguistically to the people in this the Koran from every example/proverb, so most of the people refused/hated except (insisting) disbelief. |
| Yusuf Ali | And We have explained to man, in this Qur'an, every kind of similitude: yet the greater part of men refuse (to receive it) except with ingratitude! |
