| 1 [2:75] | AfatatmaAAoona an yu/minoo lakumwaqad kana fareequn minhum yasmaAAoona kalama Allahithumma yuharrifoonahu min baAAdi ma AAaqaloohuwahum yaAAlamoona |  أفتطمعون أن يؤمنوا لكم وقد كان فريق منهم يسمعون كلام الله ثم يحرفونه من بعد ما عقلوه وهم يعلمونأَفَتَطْمَعُونَ أَنْ يُّؤْمِنُواْ لَكُمْ وَقَدْ كَانَ فَرِيقٌ مِّنْهُمْ يَسْمَعُونَ كَلاَمَ اللّهِ ثُمَّ يُحَرِّفُونَهُ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا عَقَلُوهُ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||

| 2 [6:36] | Innama yastajeebu allatheenayasmaAAoona waalmawta yabAAathuhumu Allahuthumma ilayhi yurjaAAoona | إنما يستجيب الذين يسمعون والموتى يبعثهم الله ثم إليه يرجعون إِنَّمَا يَسْتَجِيبُ الَّذِينَ يَسْمَعُونَ وَالْمَوْتَى يَبْعَثُهُمُ اللّهُ ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ يُرْجَعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |إنما - Only| يستجيب - respond| الذين - those who| يسمعون - listen.| والموتى - But the dead -| يبعثهم - will resurrect them| الله - Allah| ثم - then| إليه - to Him| يرجعون - they will be returned.| | ||||||
| 3 [7:100] | Awa lam yahdi lillatheena yarithoonaal-arda min baAAdi ahliha an law nashao asabnahumbithunoobihim wanatbaAAu AAala quloobihimfahum la yasmaAAoona | أولم يهد للذين يرثون الأرض من بعد أهلها أن لو نشاء أصبناهم بذنوبهم ونطبع على قلوبهم فهم لا يسمعون أَوَلَمْ يَهْدِ لِلَّذِينَ يَرِثُونَ الْأَرْضَ مِن بَعْدِ أَهْلِهَا أَن لَّوْ نَشَاءُ أَصَبْنَاهُم بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَنَطْبَعُ عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ فَهُمْ لاَ يَسْمَعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |أولم - Would it not| يهد - guide| للذين - [for] those who| يرثون - inherit| الأرض - the land| من - from| بعد - after| أهلها - its people| أن - that| لو - if| نشاء - We willed,| أصبناهم - We (could) afflict them| بذنوبهم - for their sins| ونطبع - and We put a seal| على - over| قلوبهم - their hearts| فهم - so they| لا - (do) not| يسمعون - hear?| | ||||||
| 4 [7:179] | Walaqad thara/na lijahannamakatheeran mina aljinni waal-insi lahum quloobun layafqahoona biha walahum aAAyunun la yubsiroonabiha walahum athanun la yasmaAAoona bihaola-ika kaal-anAAami bal hum adalluola-ika humu alghafiloona | ولقد ذرأنا لجهنم كثيرا من الجن والإنس لهم قلوب لا يفقهون بها ولهم أعين لا يبصرون بها ولهم آذان لا يسمعون بها أولئك كالأنعام بل هم أضل أولئك هم الغافلون وَلَقَدْ ذَرَأْنَا لِجَهَنَّمَ كَثِيرًا مِّنَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنسِ لَهُمْ قُلُوبٌ لاَّ يَفْقَهُونَ بِهَا وَلَهُمْ أَعْيُنٌ لاَّ يُبْصِرُونَ بِهَا وَلَهُمْ آذَانٌ لاَّ يَسْمَعُونَ بِهَا أُوْلَـئِكَ كَالْأَنْعَامِ بَلْ هُمْ أَضَلُّ أُوْلَـئِكَ هُمُ الْغَافِلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And certainly| ذرأنا - We have created| لجهنم - for Hell| كثيرا - many| من - of| الجن - the jinn| والإنس - and men.| لهم - For them| قلوب - (are) hearts| لا - (but) not| يفقهون - they understand| بها - with them,| ولهم - and for them| أعين - (are) eyes| لا - (but) not| يبصرون - they see| بها - with them,| ولهم - and for them| آذان - (are) ears| لا - (but) not| يسمعون - they hear| بها - with them.| أولئك - Those| كالأنعام - (are) like cattle,| بل - nay| هم - they| أضل - (are) more astray.| أولئك - Those -| هم - they| الغافلون - (are) the heedless.| | ||||||
| 5 [7:195] | Alahum arjulun yamshoona biha amlahum aydin yabtishoona biha am lahum aAAyunun yubsiroonabiha am lahum athanun yasmaAAoona biha quliodAAoo shurakaakum thumma keedooni fala tunthirooni | ألهم أرجل يمشون بها أم لهم أيد يبطشون بها أم لهم أعين يبصرون بها أم لهم آذان يسمعون بها قل ادعوا شركاءكم ثم كيدون فلا تنظرون أَلَهُمْ أَرْجُلٌ يَمْشُونَ بِهَا أَمْ لَهُمْ أَيْدٍ يَبْطِشُونَ بِهَا أَمْ لَهُمْ أَعْيُنٌ يُبْصِرُونَ بِهَا أَمْ لَهُمْ آذَانٌ يَسْمَعُونَ بِهَا قُلِ ادْعُواْ شُرَكَاءَكُمْ ثُمَّ كِيدُونِ فَلاَ تُنظِرُونِ | |||||
| Words | |ألهم - Are for them| أرجل - feet| يمشون - (to) walk| بها - with [it],| أم - or| لهم - for them| أيد - hands| يبطشون - (to) hold| بها - with [it],| أم - or| لهم - for them| أعين - eyes| يبصرون - (to) see| بها - with [it],| أم - or| لهم - for them| آذان - ears| يسمعون - (to) hear| بها - with [it]?| قل - Say,| ادعوا - "Call| شركاءكم - your partners,| ثم - then| كيدون - scheme against me| فلا - and (do) not| تنظرون - give me respite."| | ||||||
| 6 [8:21] | Wala takoonoo kaallatheenaqaloo samiAAna wahum la yasmaAAoona | ولا تكونوا كالذين قالوا سمعنا وهم لا يسمعون وَلاَ تَكُونُواْ كَالَّذِينَ قَالُوا سَمِعْنَا وَهُمْ لاَ يَسْمَعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولا - And (do) not| تكونوا - be| كالذين - like those who| قالوا - say,| سمعنا - "We heard,"| وهم - while they| لا - (do) not| يسمعون - hear.| | ||||||
| 7 [10:67] | Huwa allathee jaAAala lakumu allaylalitaskunoo feehi waalnnahara mubsiran innafee thalika laayatin liqawmin yasmaAAoona | هو الذي جعل لكم الليل لتسكنوا فيه والنهار مبصرا إن في ذلك لآيات لقوم يسمعون هُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ اللَّيْلَ لِتَسْكُنُواْ فِيهِ وَالنَّهَارَ مُبْصِرًا إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَسْمَعُونَ | |||||

| 8 [16:65] | WaAllahu anzala mina alssama-imaan faahya bihi al-arda baAAdamawtiha inna fee thalika laayatan liqawminyasmaAAoona | والله أنزل من السماء ماء فأحيا به الأرض بعد موتها إن في ذلك لآية لقوم يسمعون وَاللّهُ أَنزَلَ مِنَ الْسَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَأَحْيَا بِهِ الْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَةً لِّقَوْمٍ يَسْمَعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |والله - And Allah| أنزل - has sent down| من - from| السماء - the sky| ماء - water,| فأحيا - then gives life| به - by it| الأرض - (to) the earth| بعد - after| موتها - its death.| إن - Indeed,| في - in| ذلك - that| لآية - (is) surely a Sign| لقوم - for a people| يسمعون - who listen.| | ||||||
| 9 [19:62] | La yasmaAAoona feeha laghwanilla salaman walahum rizquhum feeha bukratanwaAAashiyyan | لا يسمعون فيها لغوا إلا سلاما ولهم رزقهم فيها بكرة وعشيا لاَ يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًا إِلاَّ سَلاَمًا وَلَهُمْ رِزْقُهُمْ فِيهَا بُكْرَةً وَعَشِيًّا | |||||
| Words | |لا - Not| يسمعون - they will hear| فيها - therein| لغوا - vain talk| إلا - but| سلاما - peace.| ولهم - And for them| رزقهم - (is) their provision| فيها - therein,| بكرة - morning| وعشيا - and evening.| | ||||||
| 10 [21:100] | Lahum feeha zafeerun wahum feehala yasmaAAoona | لهم فيها زفير وهم فيها لا يسمعون لَهُمْ فِيهَا زَفِيْرٌ وَهُمْ فِيهَا لَا يَسْمَعُونَ | |||||

| 11 [21:102] | La yasmaAAoona haseesahawahum fee ma ishtahat anfusuhum khalidoona | لا يسمعون حسيسها وهم في ما اشتهت أنفسهم خالدون لَا يَسْمَعُونَ حَسِيسَهَا وَهُمْ فِي مَا اشْتَهَتْ أَنفُسُهُمْ خَالِدُونَ | |||||

| 12 [22:46] | Afalam yaseeroo fee al-ardi fatakoonalahum quloobun yaAAqiloona biha aw athanunyasmaAAoona biha fa-innaha la taAAmaal-absaru walakin taAAma alquloobu allateefee alssudoori | أفلم يسيروا في الأرض فتكون لهم قلوب يعقلون بها أو آذان يسمعون بها فإنها لا تعمى الأبصار ولكن تعمى القلوب التي في الصدور أَفَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَتَكُونَ لَهُمْ قُلُوبٌ يَعْقِلُونَ بِهَا أَوْ آذَانٌ يَسْمَعُونَ بِهَا فَإِنَّهَا لَا تَعْمَى الْأَبْصَارُ وَلَكِن تَعْمَى الْقُلُوبُ الَّتِي فِي الصُّدُورِ | |||||

| 13 [25:44] | Am tahsabu anna aktharahumyasmaAAoona aw yaAAqiloona in hum illa kaal-anAAamibal hum adallu sabeelan | أم تحسب أن أكثرهم يسمعون أو يعقلون إن هم إلا كالأنعام بل هم أضل سبيلا أَمْ تَحْسَبُ أَنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ يَسْمَعُونَ أَوْ يَعْقِلُونَ إِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا كَالْأَنْعَامِ بَلْ هُمْ أَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا | |||||

| 14 [30:23] | Wamin ayatihi manamukumbiallayli waalnnahari waibtighaokummin fadlihi inna fee thalika laayatinliqawmin yasmaAAoona | ومن آياته منامكم بالليل والنهار وابتغاؤكم من فضله إن في ذلك لآيات لقوم يسمعون وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ مَنَامُكُم بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَابْتِغَاؤُكُم مِّن فَضْلِهِ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَسْمَعُونَ | |||||

| 15 [32:26] | Awa lam yahdi lahum kam ahlakna minqablihim mina alqurooni yamshoona fee masakinihim inna feethalika laayatin afala yasmaAAoona | أولم يهد لهم كم أهلكنا من قبلهم من القرون يمشون في مساكنهم إن في ذلك لآيات أفلا يسمعون أَوَلَمْ يَهْدِ لَهُمْ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّنَ الْقُرُونِ يَمْشُونَ فِي مَسَاكِنِهِمْ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ أَفَلَا يَسْمَعُونَ | |||||
