| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[8:21] | Wala takoonoo kaallatheenaqaloo samiAAna wahum la yasmaAAoona
|  ولا تكونوا كالذين قالوا سمعنا وهم لا يسمعون
وَلاَ تَكُونُواْ كَالَّذِينَ قَالُوا سَمِعْنَا وَهُمْ لاَ يَسْمَعُونَ |
| Words | |ولا - And (do) not| تكونوا - be| كالذين - like those who| قالوا - say,| سمعنا - "We heard,"| وهم - while they| لا - (do) not| يسمعون - hear.| |

| እንደነዚያም እነሱ የማይሰሙ ሲኾኑ ሰማን እንዳሉት አትሁኑ፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { ولا تكونوا كالذين قالوا سمعنا وهم لا يسمعون } سماع تدبر واتعاظ وهم المنافقون أو المشركون . |
| Ur ppilit am wid innan: "nesla", nitni ur sellen. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আর তাদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়ো না, যারা বলে যে, আমরা শুনেছি, অথচ তারা শোনেনা। |
| Literal | And do not be as/like those who said: "We heard/listened." And they do not hear/listen. |
