| 1 [2:130] | Waman yarghabu AAan millati ibraheemailla man safiha nafsahu walaqadi istafaynahufee alddunya wa-innahu fee al-akhiratilamina alssaliheena |  ومن يرغب عن ملة إبراهيم إلا من سفه نفسه ولقد اصطفيناه في الدنيا وإنه في الآخرة لمن الصالحينوَمَن يَرْغَبُ عَن مِّلَّةِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِلاَّ مَن سَفِهَ نَفْسَهُ وَلَقَدِ اصْطَفَيْنَاهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَإِنَّهُ فِي الآخِرَةِ لَمِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ومن - And who| يرغب - will turn away| عن - from| ملة - (the) religion| إبراهيم - (of) Ibrahim| إلا - except| من - who| سفه - fooled| نفسه - himself?| ولقد - And indeed| اصطفيناه - We chose him| في - in| الدنيا - the world,| وإنه - and indeed he,| في - in,| الآخرة - the Hereafter| لمن - surely (will be) among| الصالحين - the righteous.| | ||||||
| 2 [2:135] | Waqaloo koonoo hoodan aw nasaratahtadoo qul bal millata ibraheema haneefan wamakana mina almushrikeena | وقالوا كونوا هودا أو نصارى تهتدوا قل بل ملة إبراهيم حنيفا وما كان من المشركين وَقَالُواْ كُونُواْ هُودًا أَوْ نَصَارَى تَهْتَدُواْ قُلْ بَلْ مِلَّةَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَنِيفًا وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وقالوا - And they said,| كونوا - "Be| هودا - Jews| أو - or| نصارى - Christians,| تهتدوا - (then) you will be guided."| قل - Say,| بل - "Nay,| ملة - (the) religion| إبراهيم - (of) Ibrahim,| حنيفا - (the) upright;| وما - and not| كان - he was| من - of| المشركين - those who associated partners (with Allah)."| | ||||||
| 3 [3:95] | Qul sadaqa Allahu faittabiAAoomillata ibraheema haneefan wama kanamina almushrikeena | قل صدق الله فاتبعوا ملة إبراهيم حنيفا وما كان من المشركين قُلْ صَدَقَ اللّهُ فَاتَّبِعُواْ مِلَّةَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَنِيفًا وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ | |||||
| Words | |قل - Say,| صدق - (has) spoken the truth| الله - Allah,| فاتبعوا - then follow| ملة - (the) religion| إبراهيم - (of) Ibrahim| حنيفا - (the) upright,| وما - and not| كان - he was| من - of| المشركين - the polytheists.| | ||||||
| 4 [4:125] | Waman ahsanu deenan mimman aslamawajhahu lillahi wahuwa muhsinun waittabaAAamillata ibraheema haneefan waittakhathaAllahu ibraheema khaleelan | ومن أحسن دينا ممن أسلم وجهه لله وهو محسن واتبع ملة إبراهيم حنيفا واتخذ الله إبراهيم خليلا وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ دِينًا مِّمَّنْ أَسْلَمَ وَجْهَهُ لِلَّهِ وَهُوَ مُحْسِنٌ واتَّبَعَ مِلَّةَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَنِيفًا وَاتَّخَذَ اللّهُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ خَلِيلاً | |||||
| Words | |ومن - And who| أحسن - (is) better| دينا - (in) religion| ممن - than (one) who| أسلم - submits| وجهه - his face| لله - to Allah| وهو - and he| محسن - (is) a good-doer| واتبع - and follows| ملة - (the) religion| إبراهيم - (of) Ibrahim| حنيفا - (the) upright?| واتخذ - And was taken| الله - (by) Allah| إبراهيم - Ibrahim| خليلا - (as) a friend.| | ||||||
| 5 [6:161] | Qul innanee hadanee rabbee ilasiratin mustaqeemin deenan qiyaman millata ibraheemahaneefan wama kana mina almushrikeena | قل إنني هداني ربي إلى صراط مستقيم دينا قيما ملة إبراهيم حنيفا وما كان من المشركين قُلْ إِنَّنِي هَدَانِي رَبِّي إِلَى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ دِينًا قِيَمًا مِّلَّةَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَنِيفًا وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ | |||||
| Words | |قل - Say,| إنني - "Indeed (as for) me,| هداني - has guided me| ربي - my Lord| إلى - to| صراط - a path,| مستقيم - straight -| دينا - a religion| قيما - right,| ملة - religion| إبراهيم - (of) Ibrahim -| حنيفا - a true monotheist.| وما - And not| كان - he was| من - from| المشركين - the polytheists.| | ||||||
| 6 [12:37] | Qala la ya/teekuma taAAamunturzaqanihi illa nabba/tukuma bita/weelihiqabla an ya/tiyakuma thalikuma mimmaAAallamanee rabbee innee taraktu millata qawmin layu/minoona biAllahi wahum bial-akhiratihum kafiroona | قال لا يأتيكما طعام ترزقانه إلا نبأتكما بتأويله قبل أن يأتيكما ذلكما مما علمني ربي إني تركت ملة قوم لا يؤمنون بالله وهم بالآخرة هم كافرون قَالَ لاَ يَأْتِيكُمَا طَعَامٌ تُرْزَقَانِهِ إِلاَّ نَبَّأْتُكُمَا بِتَأْوِيلِهِ قَبْلَ أَن يَأْتِيَكُمَا ذَلِكُمَا مِمَّا عَلَّمَنِي رَبِّي إِنِّي تَرَكْتُ مِلَّةَ قَوْمٍ لاَّ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللّهِ وَهُم بِالْآخِرَةِ هُمْ كَافِرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| لا - "Not| يأتيكما - (will) come to both of you| طعام - food| ترزقانه - you are provided with| إلا - but| نبأتكما - I will inform both of you| بتأويله - of its interpretation,| قبل - before| أن - [that]| يأتيكما - [it] comes to both of you.| ذلكما - That| مما - (is) of what| علمني - has taught me| ربي - my Lord.| إني - Indeed, I| تركت - [I] abandon| ملة - (the) religion| قوم - (of) a people,| لا - not| يؤمنون - they believe| بالله - in Allah,| وهم - and they| بالآخرة - in the Hereafter| هم - [they]| كافرون - (are) disbelievers.| | ||||||
| 7 [12:38] | WaittabaAAtu millata aba-eeibraheema wa-ishaqa wayaAAqooba ma kanalana an nushrika biAllahi min shay-in thalikamin fadli Allahi AAalayna waAAala alnnasiwalakinna akthara alnnasi layashkuroona | واتبعت ملة آبائي إبراهيم وإسحاق ويعقوب ما كان لنا أن نشرك بالله من شيء ذلك من فضل الله علينا وعلى الناس ولكن أكثر الناس لا يشكرون وَاتَّبَعْتُ مِلَّةَ آبَآئِـي إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْحَقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ مَا كَانَ لَنَا أَن نُّشْرِكَ بِاللّهِ مِن شَيْءٍ ذَلِكَ مِن فَضْلِ اللّهِ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى النَّاسِ وَلَـكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لاَ يَشْكُرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |واتبعت - And I follow| ملة - (the) religion| آبائي - (of) my forefathers,| إبراهيم - Ibrahim,| وإسحاق - and Isaac| ويعقوب - and Yaqub.| ما - Not| كان - was| لنا - for us| أن - that| نشرك - we associate| بالله - with Allah| من - any| شيء - thing.| ذلك - That| من - (is) from| فضل - (the) Grace| الله - (of) Allah| علينا - upon us,| وعلى - and upon| الناس - the mankind| ولكن - but| أكثر - most| الناس - (of) the men| لا - (are) not| يشكرون - grateful.| | ||||||
| 8 [16:123] | Thumma awhayna ilayka aniittabiAA millata ibraheema haneefan wama kanamina almushrikeena | ثم أوحينا إليك أن اتبع ملة إبراهيم حنيفا وما كان من المشركين ثُمَّ أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ أَنِ اتَّبِعْ مِلَّةَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَنِيفًا وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ثم - Then| أوحينا - We revealed| إليك - to you,| أن - that,| اتبع - "You follow| ملة - (the) religion| إبراهيم - (of) Ibrahim| حنيفا - upright;| وما - and not| كان - he was| من - of| المشركين - the polytheists."| | ||||||
| 9 [22:78] | Wajahidoo fee Allahi haqqajihadihi huwa ijtabakum wama jaAAalaAAalaykum fee alddeeni min harajin millata abeekumibraheema huwa sammakumu almuslimeena min qabluwafee hatha liyakoona alrrasoolu shaheedanAAalaykum watakoonoo shuhadaa AAala alnnasifaaqeemoo alssalata waatoo alzzakatawaiAAtasimoo biAllahi huwa mawlakumfaniAAma almawla waniAAma alnnaseeru | وجاهدوا في الله حق جهاده هو اجتباكم وما جعل عليكم في الدين من حرج ملة أبيكم إبراهيم هو سماكم المسلمين من قبل وفي هذا ليكون الرسول شهيدا عليكم وتكونوا شهداء على الناس فأقيموا الصلاة وآتوا الزكاة واعتصموا بالله هو مولاكم فنعم المولى ونعم النصير وَجَاهِدُوا فِي اللَّهِ حَقَّ جِهَادِهِ هُوَ اجْتَبَاكُمْ وَمَا جَعَلَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِي الدِّينِ مِنْ حَرَجٍ مِّلَّةَ أَبِيكُمْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ هُوَ سَمَّاكُمُ الْمُسْلِمينَ مِن قَبْلُ وَفِي هَذَا لِيَكُونَ الرَّسُولُ شَهِيدًا عَلَيْكُمْ وَتَكُونُوا شُهَدَاءَ عَلَى النَّاسِ فَأَقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَآتُوا الزَّكَاةَ وَاعْتَصِمُوا بِاللَّهِ هُوَ مَوْلَاكُمْ فَنِعْمَ الْمَوْلَى وَنِعْمَ النَّصِيرُ | |||||
| Words | |وجاهدوا - And strive| في - for| الله - Allah| حق - (with the) striving due (to) Him.| جهاده - (with the) striving due (to) Him.| هو - He| اجتباكم - (has) chosen you| وما - and not| جعل - placed| عليكم - upon you| في - in| الدين - the religion| من - any| حرج - difficulty.| ملة - (The) religion| أبيكم - (of) your father| إبراهيم - Ibrahim.| هو - He| سماكم - named you| المسلمين - Muslims| من - before| قبل - before| وفي - and in| هذا - this,| ليكون - that may be| الرسول - the Messenger| شهيدا - a witness| عليكم - over you| وتكونوا - and you may be| شهداء - witnesses| على - on| الناس - the mankind.| فأقيموا - So establish| الصلاة - the prayer| وآتوا - and give| الزكاة - zakah| واعتصموا - and hold fast| بالله - to Allah.| هو - He| مولاكم - (is) your Protector -| فنعم - so an Excellent| المولى - [the] Protector| ونعم - and an Excellent| النصير - [the] Helper.| | ||||||
