بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Wajahidoo fee Allahi haqqajihadihi huwa ijtabakum wama jaAAalaAAalaykum fee alddeeni min harajin millata abeekumibraheema huwa sammakumu almuslimeena min qabluwafee hatha liyakoona alrrasoolu shaheedanAAalaykum watakoonoo shuhadaa AAala alnnasifaaqeemoo alssalata waatoo alzzakatawaiAAtasimoo biAllahi huwa mawlakumfaniAAma almawla waniAAma alnnaseeru

وجاهدوا في الله حق جهاده هو اجتباكم وما جعل عليكم في الدين من حرج ملة أبيكم إبراهيم هو سماكم المسلمين من قبل وفي هذا ليكون الرسول شهيدا عليكم وتكونوا شهداء على الناس فأقيموا الصلاة وآتوا الزكاة واعتصموا بالله هو مولاكم فنعم المولى ونعم النصير
وَجَاهِدُوا فِي اللَّهِ حَقَّ جِهَادِهِ هُوَ اجْتَبَاكُمْ وَمَا جَعَلَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِي الدِّينِ مِنْ حَرَجٍ مِّلَّةَ أَبِيكُمْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ هُوَ سَمَّاكُمُ الْمُسْلِمينَ مِن قَبْلُ وَفِي هَذَا لِيَكُونَ الرَّسُولُ شَهِيدًا عَلَيْكُمْ وَتَكُونُوا شُهَدَاءَ عَلَى النَّاسِ فَأَقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَآتُوا الزَّكَاةَ وَاعْتَصِمُوا بِاللَّهِ هُوَ مَوْلَاكُمْ فَنِعْمَ الْمَوْلَى وَنِعْمَ النَّصِيرُ

Words

በአላህም ሃይማኖት ተገቢውን ትግል ታገሉ፡፡ እርሱ መርጧችኋል፡፡ በናንተም ላይ በሃይማኖቱ ውስጥ ምንም ችግር አላደረገባችሁም፡፡ የአባታችሁን የኢብራሂምን ሃይማኖት ተከተሉ፡፡ እርሱ ከዚህ በፊት ሙስሊሞች ብሎ ሰይሟችኋል፡፡ በዚህም (ቁርኣን)፤ መልክተኛው በእናንተ ላይ መስካሪ እንዲሆን እናንተም በሰዎቹ ላይ መስካሪዎች እንድትኾኑ (ሙስሊሞች ብሎ ሰይሟችኋል)፡፡ ሶላትንም አስተካክላችሁ ስገዱ፣ ዘካንም ስጡ፣ በአላህም ተጠበቁ፣ እርሱ ረዳታችሁ ነው፡፡ (እርሱ) ምን ያምር ጠባቂ! ምን ያምርም ረዳት!

آل الجلالين

{ وجاهدوا في الله } لإقامة دينه { حق جهاده } باستفراغ الطاقة فيه ونصب حَقَّ على المصدر { هو اجتباكم } اختاركم لدينه { وما جعل عليكم في الدين من حَرَج } أي ضيق بأن سهله عند الضرورات كالقصر والتيمم وأكل الميتة والفطر للمرض والسفر { مِلة أبيكم } منصوب الخافض الكاف { إبراهيم } عطف بيان { هو } أي الله { سمَّاكم المسلمين من قبل } أي قبل هذا الكتاب { وفي هذا } أي القرآن { ليكون الرسول شهيداً عليكم } يوم القيامة أنه بلَّغكم { وتكونوا } أنتم { شهداء على الناس } أن رسلهم بلَّغوهم { فأقيموا الصلاة } داوموا عليها { وآتوا الزكاة واعتصموا بالله } ثقوا به { هو مولاكم } ناصركم ومتولي أموركم { فنعم المولى } هو { ونعم النصير } الناصر لكم .

Jahdet ar Öebbi lêeqq ujahed iS. Neppa Ifren ikwen. Ur kwen Ihejjen ara di ddin, ddin ubabat wen Ibôahim. Neppa, i wen isemman, zik, imvuâen. মুহিউদ্দীন খান

তোমরা আল্লাহর জন্যে শ্রম স্বীকার কর যেভাবে শ্রম স্বীকার করা উচিত। তিনি তোমাদেরকে পছন্দ করেছেন এবং ধর্মের ব্যাপারে তোমাদের উপর কোন সংকীর্ণতা রাখেননি। তোমরা তোমাদের পিতা ইব্রাহীমের ধর্মে কায়েম থাক। তিনিই তোমাদের নাম মুসলমান রেখেছেন পূর্বেও এবং এই কোরআনেও, যাতে রসূল তোমাদের জন্যে সাক্ষ্যদাতা এবং তোমরা সাক্ষ্যদাতা হও মানবমন্ডলির জন্যে। সুতরাং তোমরা নামায কায়েম কর, যাকাত দাও এবং আল্লাহকে শক্তভাবে ধারণ কর। তিনিই তোমাদের মালিক। অতএব তিনি কত উত্তম মালিক এবং কত উত্তম সাহায্যকারী।

Literal

And struggle/do (your) utmost His deserved/true struggle , He chose/purified you, and He did not make/put on you in the religion from strain/hardship , your father Abraham's religion/faith, He named/identified you the Moslems/submitters/surrenderers from before, and in this the Messenger to be a witness/present on you, and you be witnessing/testifying/witnesses/testifiers on the people, so stand/keep up the prayers, and give/bring the charity/ purification , and hold fast/take shelter with/by God, He is your master/ally , so blessed/praised (is) the master/ally , and blessed/praised (is) the victorior/savior . 236

Yusuf Ali

And strive in His cause as ye ought to strive, (with sincerity and under discipline). He has chosen you, and has imposed no difficulties on you in religion; it is the cult of your father Abraham. It is He Who has named you Muslims, both before and in this (Revelation); that the Messenger may be a witness for you, and ye be witnesses for mankind! So establish regular Prayer, give regular Charity, and hold fast to Allah! He is your Protector - the Best to protect and the Best to help!

And strive for Allah with the endeavour which is His right. He hath chosen you and hath not laid upon you in religion any hardship; the faith of your father Abraham (is yours). He hath named you Muslims of old time and in this (Scripture), that the messenger may be a witness against you, and that ye may be witnesses against mankind. So establish worship, pay the poor-due, and hold fast to Allah. He is your Protecting friend. A blessed Patron and a blessed Helper!

and struggle for God as is His due, for He has chosen you, and has laid on you no impediment in your religion, being the creed of your father Abraham; He named you Muslims aforetime and in this, that the Messenger might be a witness against you, and that you might be witnesses against mankind. Strive steadfastly for the Cause of God. He has chosen you but has not imposed on you hardship in your religion, the noble religion of your father, Abraham. God named you Muslims before and in this Book, so that the Messenger will witness (your actions) and will be the witness over mankind. Be steadfast in your prayer, pay the religious tax, and seek protection from God; He is your Guardian, a gracious Guardian and Helper.

And strive for Allah with the striving due to Him. He has chosen you and has not placed upon you in the religion any difficulty. [It is] the religion of your father, Abraham. Struggle for Allah as is due to Him. He has chosen you and has not laden a burden upon you in your religion, being the Creed of Abraham your father. He has named you Muslims before and in this so that the Messenger (Muhammad) can be a witness for you, and in order that you be witnesses against mankind. And strive hard in God's cause with all the striving that is due to Him: it is He who has elected you [to carry His message], and has laid no hardship on you in [anything that pertains to religion, [The absence of any "hardship" in the religion of Islam is due to several factors: 1 it is free of any dogma or mystical proposition which might make the Quranic doctrine difficult to understand or might even conflict with man's innate reason; 2 it avoids all complicated ritual or system of taboos which would impose undue restrictions on mans everyday life; 3 it rejects all self-mortification and exaggerated asceticism, which must unavoidably conflict with mans true nature (cf. in this connection note on the first sentence of 2:143); and 4 it takes fully into account the fact that "man has been created weak" 4:28 .] [and made you follow] the creed of your forefather Abraham. [Abraham is designated here as "your forefather" not only because he was, in fact, an ancestor of the prophet Muhammad - to whose followers this passage is addressed - but also because he is the prototype (and thus, the spiritual "forefather") of all who consciously "surrender themselves to God" (see next note).] It is He who has named you in bygone times as well as in this [divine writ] - "those who have surrendered themselves to God", [The term muslim signifies "one who surrenders himself to God"; correspondingly, islam denotes "self-surrender to God". Both these terms are applied in the Quran to all who believe in the One God and affirm this belief by an unequivocal acceptance of His revealed messages. Since the Quran represents the final and most universal of these divine revelations, the believers are called upon, in the sequence, to follow the guidance of its Apostle and thus to become an example for all mankind (cf. 2:143 and the corresponding note).] so that the Apostle might bear witness to the truth before you, and that you might bear witness to it before all mankind. Thus, be constant in prayer, and render the purifying dues, and hold fast unto God. He is your Lord Supreme: and how excellent is this Lord Supreme, and how excellent this Giver of Succour!

Khalifa**

You shall strive for the cause of GOD as you should strive for His cause. He has chosen you and has placed no hardship on you in practicing your religion - the religion of your father Abraham. He is the one who named you "Submitters" originally. Thus, the messenger shall serve as a witness among you, and you shall serve as witnesses among the people. Therefore, you shall observe the Contact Prayers (Salat) and give the obligatory charity (Zakat), and hold fast to GOD; He is your Lord, the best Lord and the best Supporter.

Hilali/Khan**

And strive hard in Allahs Cause as you ought to strive (with sincerity and with all your efforts that His Name should be superior). He has chosen you (to convey His Message of Islamic Monotheism to mankind by inviting them to His religion, Islam), and has not laid upon you in religion any hardship, it is the religion of your father Ibrahim (Abraham) (Islamic Monotheism). It is He (Allah) Who has named you Muslims both before and in this (the Quran), that the Messenger (Muhammad SAW) may be a witness over you and you be witnesses over mankind! So perform AsSalat (Iqamat-as-Salat), give Zakat and hold fast to Allah (i.e. have confidence in Allah, and depend upon Him in all your affairs) He is your Maula (Patron, Lord, etc.), what an Excellent Maula (Patron, Lord, etc.) and what an Excellent Helper!

Strive hard in Allah's Cause, with all the striving that is due to Him. It is He Who has elected you to carry the Message and has placed no hardship in religion, the creed of your father Abraham (2:143), (2:288). It is He Who has named you Muslims in the bygone days and now in this Revelation. That the Messenger may be a witness for you, and you be witnesses for all mankind! (You shall be the watchers over peoples that no community oppresses the other). So, establish the Divine System and set up the Just Economic Order, and hold fast unto Allah. He is your Lord Supreme, and how excellent is this Giver of support!

Na panagontamann iyo sii ko Allah so ontol a kapanagontaman Rkaniyan, Skaniyan na pinili kano Niyan, go da a inisnggay Niyan rkano sii ko agama a masimpit; okit o ama iyo a Ibrahim. Skaniyan i mitho rkano sa manga Moslim gowani, go sii sangkai (a Qor´an); ka an mabaloy so sogo a saksi rkano, go mabaloy kano a manga saksi ko manga manosiya! Na pamayandgn iyo so sambayang, go tonaya niyo so zakat, go sarigi niyo so Allah. Skaniyan i Panarigan iyo; na miyakapiyapiya a Panarigan, go miyakapiyapiya a Phananabang!.

اور اللہ کی راہ میں جہاد کرو جیسا حق ہے جہاد کرنے کا اس نے تمہیں پسند کیا اور تم پر دین میں کچھ تنگی نہ رکھی تمہارے باپ ابراہیم کا دین اللہ نے تمہارا نام مسلمان رکھا ہے اگلی کتابوں میں اور اس قرآن میں تاکہ رسول تمہارا نگہبان و گواہ ہو اور تم اور لوگوں پر گواہی دو تو نماز برپا رکھو اور زکوٰة دو اور اللہ کی رسی مضبوط تھام لو وہ تمہارا مولیٰ ہے تو کیا ہی اچھا مولیٰ اور کیا ہی اچھا مددگار،
